anyone know of anything for ozzfest this year? i want to get my boyfriend tickets to this years fest but i dont know a whole lot about it.. anyone know of any line up or any bands you know are going? maybe prices of the tickets if you know? thanks!

depends on how close you want to be

so far i know there's one in somerset wisconsin every year and that's not general seating from what i've heard, but probably as closest as i could get em. do you know when they usually go on sale?

in about a month or two maby three lawn seats are somewhere about between $50 and $75 depends on the extra charges they throw on at ticketmaster if you want to get him the best tickets you should look in to pit passes its as close as you can get to the main stage and there are no seats in that area

a publusist issued a statement the other day that ozzy plans on doing this year ozzfest so far he is the only band that has confirmed

i've heard a lot of rumors that ozzy isn't going to be at ozzfest this year... but i haven't seen any up to date info on how hes doing, anyone know anything?

anyone here been to 93xfest before?? it's ****en awesome, and even better if you camp there. i'm hopefully gonna camp there this year if i make reservations quick enough. it was so much better back in the day, and some of the bands are kind of starting to suck but thats alright. i went there when system of a down was there, deftones, stone temple pilots, sevendust, incubus, etc etc etccccc :-D

oh yeah.... and my best friend got pulled on stage during flipp last summer!!! it was sweet

ahh...i loved it when i went....women with no tops on...naked demons....pot....man...that place was frigging crazy...i gotta go again!

hahaha right on to that. i remember a few years ago when Flipp was throwing bags of weed onto stage and cans of beer, definitely got a hold of that haha. i've been lookin around on the website (www.93xfest.com) for updates but there haven't been any for a really long time. this year better kick ass cuz the ticket prices get a little higher every year.

..keep in mind a NUMBER of bands have contracts out and are debating about signing on for the tour, but at this point in time even ClearChannel Worldwide is still waiting to hear the final 100% for many bands, some of which include heavyweights like DAMAGEPLAN, FEAR FACTORY, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, UNEARTH, AS I LAY DYING and more..

sources here and there concerts are my hobby so i do alot of reserch on tours and what not ijust minutes ago got a tasty peice of info on the ozzfest its being said that none other then SLAYER are siad to be close to comming to an agreement on playing the mainstage this year

Slayer, Judas Priest (reunited with vocalist Rob Halford) and Slipknot will join Ozzy Osbourne as the mainstage acts on this year's Ozzfest, set to begin in early July, Billboard.com has learned. Details of the tour will be announced next week in Los Angeles.

For Osbourne, the shows will mark his return to the live stage after suffering severe injuries in an ATV crash late last year. Since its inaugural run in 1996, Ozzfest has grossed $146.5 million from 236 shows that have drawn 3.8 million headbangers, primarily to outdoor amphitheaters.

i just read an article at 93x.com, and it says

93X Rock News has learned that indeed Ozzfest may not be coming to Somerset, Wisconsin ... nor Minnesota for that matter ... Keep it locked on 93X as an Official announcement regarding the exact lineup for the festival is expected to be made at a Press Conference on Thursday, February 19 ... but just be prepared for us NOT to make that list ...

which really sucks because i'd either be able to get tickets to the somerset show or to minnesota.. looks like i'm not!!

wisconsin, i was hoping for something in somerset or the cities but this year they cancelled em there of course.

i know there are not nearly as many dates as there was last year last year there were two norcal dates and now theres only one

yeah it sucks! so if i want to go i have to either drive 4 hours to east troy or 5 to illinois. oh well

To me this sounds like the worse Ozzfest ever.

Judas Priest - Decent Slayer - maybe 2 songs I like but I really don't like them much at all Dimmu Borgia - Who? Superjoint Ritual - Again, who? Black Label Society - Ok but I've never really got into them Slipknot - Can't stand them Hatebreed - fav band here other than Ozzy which is pretty sad) Lamb of God - sounds familiar Rotating - Who? Atreyu - Who? Bleeding Through - may have heard of them before Lacuna Coil - Who? Every time I Die - Who? Unearth - sounds familiar again Godforbd - WHo? I'm not seeing any big names here compaired to usual and its very disappointing. They at least need somebody like Disturbed, System, Zombie, Godsmack or Korn. Slipknot is the big name their and I hate them.

if they threw disturbed korn system or zombie it would be like the same fest that they did last year
beleive me the main stage is better then its been in years and i find it refreshing thatozzfest took a more underground turn this year

Exactly why I don't think this years is as good. I'm not really saying that it would be a bad concert, but I'd prefer to see the previous mainstream bands that they had the last couple of years. So in my mind its going to suck in comparison to previous years. Its always more entertaining to hear bands that you are into.

Not underground metal. But I love Rob Zombie, System, Disturbed, PM5K, Mudvayne, Drowning Pool, Soil, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Union Underground, Spineshank, Godsmack, Static-X and much more.

mainstream metal .... yeah its ok
but some of these bands are really good .. and i recomend all of them .. i guess

so would i otep is awsome you should really check them out

ok the ozzfest, Dimmu Borgir is gonna be remarkable, they are great live. Dark, vicious and evil but still great, maybe the best black metal around probably the most skilfully musically though. But if you never encountered them be in for a surprise they are really something
