Anyway, the best is probably either Link or Shadow from FF6.

Lulu from Final Fantasy X she's awesome. And I liked Squall from FFVIII and Link, too.

The FF series have some great characters. Hard to choose.

If Soul reaver is considered an rpg, as some ppl do, then raziel. by far.

Shadow from FF3 (6) kicked ass, and so did Crono from Chrono Trigger. But Magus and Frog kicked ass too. So many ass kickers...so little time to write them down.

Carth - Kotor (I love how excellent his voice actor delivered his lines, it was the first time I actually felt like I was arguing with someone)

Aeris - FF7

Tidus - FFX (as annoying as he got, he was the happiness of the group)

Aribeth - Neverwinter Nights

You are right...as much as he annoyed the **** out of me, without him and Rikku the game would have gotten far too depressing (but at least Rikku wasn't irritating with her happiness/perkiness).
