what have you done to your xbox? if anyone has i mean...
i have a 200 gb hard drive w/about 40 games ripped to it (i dont need to buy games anyomore...)
the green thing on the top is replaced w/a glowing blue one
my contorllers have power buttons on them and the crystal thing glows and makes the xbox logo glow blue as well...
i also chromed my case so its all pretty now...

unfortunately, no pics cuz i my camera broke...

thats pretty cool.. did you get the doa volleyball hack? I dunno if it exists but I've heard a few people talking about it, its rumored to be quite 'pr0n'ish

i got a 200 meg harddrive. and only like 10 xbox games (but i have most of the games anywayz) and i have like 219 arcade games like Final Fight, Street Fighter vs Capcom (and all the other variations) and then i have 719 SNES games on my hard drive too. I also changed my xbox's optical laser so now it reads VCDs that i make on the computer.

how do you rip games to your harddrive? must you install linux? cause i got the linux install files for xbox but it sounds a bit dodgy to install an OS on a console.

can you rip games onto the original harddrive? how big are the games once you rip them?

ummmm i'm only answering your last question....NO a friend did it.

yeah, i ono wut my friend did exactly...
i put in the hd, and got the mod chip in...
then my friend took it to his house n hooked it to his computer and i think jus sent the files to the hd over a network....
other stuff like the lighting is jus simple stuff i got on the net.

how do you hook it up to ya computer? by files, do you mean games?
doesnt the warranty get void if you put in a hd? did you take out your old one or do you have two now?

yes warranty is void.
hook it to the computer through the ethernet port u use for system link...
the old one is only 8 gb, and two definitely wont fit in that case, no matter how big it is.
yes, files by games...also though, stuff like the dashboard (main screen)
are changed through the computer cables...
its just easier than burning to dvds or cd-rw's

its an expensive project thogh...i spent about $250 on it all in all...which isnt so bad considering i got the box for free

i got all the software and stuff put in for free from a friend...all i had to do was buy the hd. I think that the new dashboard (mine says evolution with a blue screen) will enable you to download games onto the hard drive. I'm pretty sure my friend got the games on mIRC, but i dunno for a fact.

the evolution dashboard is good...but i think i have a diff one...cuz i have my own pix on the menus.
his is crazier than mine, hes got all the nes/snes games, n then tons of arcade games ported to work on xbox. hes got a 250 gb hd.

so all you have to do is get a new hd and a mod chip? is that all?
