Gold Medal Athletic Champion
Kriss is famous for his achievements in Athletics where his greatest individual triumph was his Gold Medal in the 1990 European Championships when he also beat David Hemery's 22 year old British Record.
He began his international career in 1983 as a member of the 4 X 400 metre relay squad and will probably always be remembered for helping Britain clinch the Gold and beat the Americans in the World Championships 4 X 400 metre relay in Tokyo in 1991.
His marvellous personality and reputation as a fantastic performer has made him a very popular and sought after celebrity.
Kriss was born on 28 November 1958 in Paddington, London, he spent a brief time in Nigeria, but returned back to Britain in 1967 where he was placed under care in the Borough of Islington for eight years.
From 1975 until October 1990 he was an active member of the British Armed Forces - where he served as a Sergeant and Senior Warrant Officer.
In 1991 he was awarded the MBE and an Honorary Degree from Southampton University.
He is currently the British Record Holder at 400m Hurdles and also European & Commonwealth 4 X 400 metres Record Holder.
