a bit over-rated. very good football player, certainly not a legend by any means, but an awesome football player. dont like his hype off the pitch. he pisses me off. but he is a fantastic football player.

as a footballer he is just a bit over-rated. doesnt take away the fact that he delivers excellent crosses and free kicks. he is fitting very well in madrid

Even though i can't stand the guy i think he is a better footballer now in madrid than he ever was and his performance in the england v portugal match yesterday was excellent. I still hate his god damn ego though

idd...I remember when he was back at mtd, playing against real madrid, and he scored from a free kick with a nice powerfull strike over the wall... does he take free kicks at real too ?

I think he does, imo it'd be kinda dumb to have a player like beckham and not let him take free kicks

ya he scored 2 goals against real madrid last year in the champions league. one was going in n e way, the other was a freekick which was well taken but i felt casillas should a done betta. n e wayz the problem with real is that everytime beckham is about 2 take a freekick roberto carlos comes in and says he wants 2 take the freekick and beckham doesnt argue. it really does P I S S me off!!! roberto carlos scores like once in every 50 freekicks.his freekicks r so so so horrible

He is overrated as a footballer, he doesnt really have any skill to get past his man like Zidane etc but he has got to where he is today through sheer practice. His workrate on the pitch is incredible and he always gives 100%. He is so disciplined towards his game and you have to admire him for that. I believe Roberto Carlos now takes most of Reals free kicks following a spate of misses by Beckham.
