But i'm still waiting on Phoe's reply for permission to start And some ppl are doubting me, saying that it sounds like an RPG and that Phoe won't go for it, and it's getting me anxious

I haven't checked the RPG - I looked in that forum and saw one that was really detailed and set in different locations but the characters and stuff were completely fictional and it was definitely more of a play - this imo seems like a game where basically the forum is split into 4 groups and we'll have like an official thread for comps right? Then the points iwll be awarded and we can chat in out house threads. It sounds liek a lot but really it's like four house threads and one official thread maybe? Plus that's just one thing of continuity in the forum the rest is all legit threads which we will all take part in like we do now. That's just my opinion though.

wait a minute... if Phoe belongs to one of the houses, then who will be the overall leader?

dont we need atleast one person who doesnt belong to any of the houses to judge the contests without prejudice?

is it safe to say then, that Phoe can be our Dumbledore (Headmaster), then Tassie and Rogue as our Faculty members?

If I remember right, a Faculty member like McGonagall - although she is the head of Griffindor house - has the authority to give and/or take away points from any of the houses.

Very goo question, I must admit, but right now, tassie and I are in the running for Headboy/Girl in the Gryfindor's Common Room.

Perhaps, Phoenix, can be our Headmaster and still be in Ravenclaw??? I know that Phoe will be fair about anything, no matter what.

i would just like to clarify one more thing - re the contests/challenge - for example, in choosing the best house siggie challenge, will there be some criteria in judging? like 40% design, 20% clarity/resolution, 10% good use of colors, etc. etc. - coz i just think this would help prevent major disagreements on the judging of winners, accusations of partiality perhaps... though hopefully this wont happen

true, there should be some scoring strategy
since it's out of 10, let's see...
5 for originality and creativity?
3 for resolution and clarity?
1 for following instructions (cuz there was only one rule to it, really)
1 for good use of colours?

^^ just an estimate... does anyone else wanna come up with a better scoring strategy we could go by?

Can the non Heads make polite and intelligent (no rudeness) comments about other House's challenge entries if they are relevent to the actual entry? That way the judges can have mor eimput to base decisions on just relevent stuff though so it wont make clutter - no 'I love/hate it!' kind of things.

I just remembered guys, whenever i said Headboy or Girl of each house, i meant Prefects.... there's only one headboy and one headgirl

so, even tho we have the prefects, we'll still need a HeadBoy and Girl

Ok.. if we go for an overall head boy and girl in addition to the prefects, then everyhouse should appoint one candidate for head boy and another fod head girl. All 8 of them should compete, in gender based groups; males and females ; the ones that will win (judged by the prefects of each house) will be inaguarated for head boy and girl.

Then the head boy and girl should "meet " with all the prefects and agree aupon roles and responsibilities.. we don't like the two to overlape.. but in general the head boy and girl should make surre that the rules are respected, and only vote if need be when the votes and tie!
