Seriously I think this is going to suck...But who knows?
Premise: A scientific expedition is sent to the jungles of Borneo to search for a rare black orchid by a powerful pharmaceutical company that hopes the orchid can be used to unlock the secrets of youth and immortality. What they discover is that the orchid is already being used by a powerful group... a swarm of giant snakes that derive their super strength, size and vitality from the flowers, and extremely large snakes are also extremely hungry snakes...
Based Upon: (12/6/00) This is, of course, the sequel to the successful 1997 monster movie, Anaconda, starring Jon Voight, Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez, and Owen Wilson. That first film, budgeted at $35 million, ended up with a sweet (relative to cost) $65+ million.
Screenwriter: John Claflin and Daniel Zelman (writing team of the USA Network made-for-cable monster movie 'They Nest')
Director: Dwight H Little (Murder at 1600, Rapid Fire, Marked for Death, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home)
Director Notes: (12/6/00) It's possible that Luis Llosa (Sniper, The Specialist), could come back to direct this one as well. (1/8/03) "Variety" reports that Dwight H. Little is in talks to make this his first feature film in over six years since Murder at 1600 (he's been doing a lot of TV, cable and direct-to-video work in the time since).
Anyways what do you guys think about this?
