EXPERIENCE- or 'Becoming Yoda...'

After each episode, characters are rewarded in the form of experience points (or 'xp'). Experience points can be used to increase the powers and skills of your characters to develop them into more formidable people- even though you are greatly formidable to start with!

Experience tends to be awarded on the following criteria:

1. Participation. The more episodes you play, the more you get. If you 'kinda' play an episode, you get a partial score.

2. Success. The better you do, the more you score! This gives a tangible incentive for doing things WELL, rather than just being there.

3. Victory. In Light Side/Dark Side opposed games, there is a bonus for winning- however, this bonus is not large, else once one side wins it becomes too difficult for the other side to pull back. Note that this reward won't be going out for a little while.

4. Extreme heroism. If you, deliberately and in full knowledge, take actions of great risk in which you might well be killed, and in doing so achieve some greatly tangible goal, and survive, a hero bonus is yours

5. 'Danger money'. This is a term for the reward given for playing in an 'unfair' situation. Say I have designed a scenario on the idea four Jedi will be there, and then suddenly one day in, two of the Jedi players drop out due to real life pressures, leaving the other two to face the music. This leads to extreme danger for those two, but they will be compensated by 'danger money' in the form of xp if they survive. Note this is only given if it is due to circumstances beyond your control, NOT if you did something stupid to get yourself into such danger!

Experience can actually cause your characters to advance rapidly- maybe disproportionately rapidly. Balancing this is the fact that you gain no experience in 'downtime', the time between episodes, even if years pass. So the idea is that although it looks odd that, for example, Gundark becomes so much more powerful after she leaves Zeiton, as opposed to before she arrived at Jaglon Beta, if we instead track that power boost from Jaglon Beta to the start of the second campaign, three years later, it looks better. Even so you will advance fast, and the films seem to be setting a precedent for that, with both Anakin and Obi-Wan advancing greatly during the Clone Wars.

----

Experience does not have to be used at once; it can be, and often is, saved. However, it can only be spent between episodes, during assumed periods of training.

Experience costs are as follows (always round up):

Skills

Lightsabre can only be improved if you are given permission to do so; the cost is always twice your current lightsabre rating.

Fighting skills (Combat, Guns, Heavy Weapons) cost half the current total rating you have in that skill if the current rating is less than 12, or cost an amount equal to the current rating if the current rating is 12 or above. If the new rating would make it the highest Fighting value you have (including Lightsabre), you double the cost.

Non-fighting skills cost a quarter of the current total rating you have in that skill if the current rating is less than 12, or cost half the current rating if the current rating is 12 or above.

New skills cost 2 points if the skill appeared as a +0 on your template, or 4 points if it did not. This cost is doubled if it is a fighting skill. When you pay this cost, you get that skill at +1.

Skills cannot be taken past 15 without permission.

Stats

Physical stats cost 40xp to increase by one. Mental stats cost 25.

Increasing stats often increase skills they are based on; this is built into the high cost of increasing a stat. However, if increasing a stat would increase a fighting value (including Lightsabre) so that it becomes a new highest fighting value for you, then you add 25xp to the cost.

Your Force rating costs 60xp to increase.

Powers

Force powers: (x/4)+1

A new Force power costs the amount you currently have divided by four, plus one.

Tricks

Blade, Master or Gun Tricks: x+6.

Six more than you currently have, simply enough

Pilot/Combat Tricks: x+3

And equally simply, three more than you currently have.

---

BUYBACK

Due to the high cost of Force, and the long wait involved in getting permission to up Lightsabre, instead of people hording xp to wait and buy them, instead you are encouraged to buy powers and Tricks in order to discount the final costs of increasing Lightsabre or Force. The discount can also apply to Guns, Combat, and the 25xp surplus payment if increasing a physical stat would improve the highest fighting skill

Basically, for every three points of xp spent on buying the relevant power/Trick, one point is discounted from the increase of the relevant stat or skill. Force Powers disocunt your Force rating, Blade Tricks your Lightsabre score, Gun Tricks your Guns score, and Combat Tricks your Combat score.

You may only discount up to half of the needed total. When you increase a relevant total, all discount accumulated towards that is lost, whether you used it or not.

Example: Kumar the Swordsman has a Lightsabre skill of 14 and 9 Blade Tricks. He buys two more Blade Tricks with xp. The first costs him 15 (X+6, and x is 9). The second costs him 16, as now x has gone up. The two together cost him 31 experience points. For every three points worth of that, one point gets discounted from increasing Lightsabre. This means his current discount is ten- the first 30 points he spent divded by 3.

Increasing his Lightsabre score would normally cost him 28, but with that discount it will now only cost him 18.

If Kumar first buys another Blade Trick, that will cost him 17 xp, and take his total xp spending on Blade Tricks to 48. This is an exact multiple of 3, giving him a discount of 16. But two of that will be wasted, as he can only discount up to half of the 28 he needs- so 14 points would be discounted.

Any questions, please ask.

Ushgarak
Calculations for due experience to players will be done soon- the maximum reward is about 60 xp.

Fire
nah looks good

Ushgarak
Ok! Xp awards for players are as follows:

Gundark- 45 xp
Galder- 40 xp
Xeth- 35 xp
Takuan- 30 xp
Marcus- 25 xp
Rah- 15 xp
Roan- 10 xp

Fire
aaaah what a gip I get even less than Dexx :P (just kidding big grin)

Fire
*runs of working out how much sabre tricks I can buy wiv it*

Dexx
awh booo....so little thumb down stick out tongue

Dexx
ok....13x2= 26p for making my saber score 14

and i'll think about what to do with the rest 4p.
i'll probably buy a combat trick......
can't even buy a force power erm

Fire
okie let's try this

I got 25 XP

I'm gonna buy 2 more blade tricks, already having 2
the first costs 8 (x+6, X=2) the second costs 9 (x+6, X=3) total of 17 spent which leaves me 8 smile
the two tricks are indeed both Sabremaster (which I know have LVL2 of)

Fire
still waiting for master tricks, if they won't be coming can I trade them for sabre tricks?

Tptmanno1
Hmm, Do the discounts carry over, For example I obviously cannot up my saber skill. But if I buy 3 force powers at 3 points a piece, if I get enough XP next mission will the cost go down 3 points for the points I spent right now?

Dexx
yeah..only, no force power costs 3 points....and the 3 discount points..would be out of the 60 original cost for upgrading force. you can gather 60 points in about....6 episodes.....a campaign and the some smile
you need blade tricks to discount the saber skill upgrade

Tptmanno1
I didnt mean force powers I meant the trick thingys and I make a mistake on how you calculate cost.
I think it's 8 points a piece for me right?

Fire
depends

Ushgarak
Force powers cost you seven, Tpt. At first.

Yes, discounts stay until you get around to upgrading what they are based on. I'll note existing discount.

If you want Master Tricks... I can only recommend saving.

Tptmanno1
sounds good, Hmm Im thinking that I get Flying Charge or the power that gives free dodges, or is that being re-vamped?

Fire
well I get two master tricks because of my template, so I first would like to see which ones they are before I might change my xp use

Ushgarak
Which free dodge power are you talking about, Tpt?

Fire
think he means mind of the warrior

Dexx
if i have a current non combat skill of 11..improving it would cost 3? as in round up to 12, adn then divide to 4?

Fire
think so dexx

Ushgarak
Sounds right, Dexx.

If it is MOTW, do remember I highlighted some that will be changing, if you want to wait...

Dexx
and...if i have 1 point left after all of this....does it go to waste if i don't use it? or can i use it when the next episode finishes

Fire
I was wondering the same thing, I reckon we can keep it since ush mentioned something about not wanting us to save things up (which to me implies that it is possible, not advisable but possible)

Ushgarak
Oh yeah, you can save it.

Fire
I still have 8 left, think of saving those, or blowing it all on maxing out some more skills, any help ush?

Dexx
well...that about does it with my upgrade.

saber score upgrade to 14, and persuasion score up to 12.

and i'm saving one point

Fire
I'm saving 8 I spent 17 just to gain ONE LVL in Sabremaster, but I think that once I get lvl3 Sabremaster I'm gonna love that style

Ushgarak
The problem with sabremaster is that it is less good if you are being swarmed.

Dexx
*writes that down*

Ushgarak
Heh...

It is the stylistic opposite of Carnival of Carnage, which is fantastic when being swarmed but entirely useless against single or several powerful foes.

Fire
lightside is slightly outnumbered

Dexx
well..that's a change in the sutiation, for sure....we were always the outnumbered ones..

Fire
yea except with Saar, Chion, Jolanta and Kuylen (3 of them is gone now but still)

Dexx
bleh..all 4 of them...kuylen won't be directly involved, i reckon.
we can't have kuylen and a nemesis in the same party...

what i meant was we were always outnumbered as playable characters....ppl seem to have a tendancy for the light side....wonder why whistle.....weaklings stick out tongue

Fire
now it seems things have changed

Dexx
yes....they were corrupted to the true power.
which sadly reminds me of not being able to buy that corruption force power...bleh

Fire
why not dexx?

Ushgarak
There should be more Light than Dark side players in the game. At least as many.

Fire
oooh so we gonna meet the darkies?

Dexx
not in the near future....our paths seem to take us on different roads....

anyway...yeah...a lot of additions to the dark side....

Ushgarak
It's faintly silly, force or no force, for you folks to keep running into each other. Especially without one side or the other being slaughtered.

People who keep a sharp eye on things may spot where the distinct plots start to find common ground, though.

Captain REX
Remember, Ush, I changed Galder's last name to Starkiller because I don't like the name Welptet any more. Starkiller sounds deadlier... wink

Tptmanno1
Ok because Ush said to post it here, Here is an updated history of Roan.

Born on Correllia to Gabe and Ranna Trilanger, Roan Is a Jedi who retains the pride of his homeworld wherever he goes. His father is a Corsec officer and this is partially the reason for Roan's disoverey. For if it were not for the dinner party that The Trilangers held for Rostec Horn and his friend, Nejaa Halcyon Roan may never have been Identified as having force potential. Against the will of his father, who wanted Roan to be a CorSec officer like himself, Roan left for the Jedi Acadamy. Once at the acadamy Roan became facinated with Swordplay and tactics, becoming emmersed in the Jedi Code as well. After his relativly uneventful padwadan-ship Roan became a full Jedi Knight. After this occured his father, in an act No-one never expected gave Roan a ship and a promise. Roan named the Correllian Freighter, The Spirit of Correllia in order to nutralize the mythical bad luck that surrounds the Correllian born Jedi that leaves their home system. The promise was from Roan 's father vowing to lend aid whenever nessesary and that Roan would always have a warm bed If his travels ever lead him back to Correllia, For this Roan wears a green under-robe to symbolize his connection to his home planet. Roan was only separated only once from his ship, and that was for a Undercover diplomatic mission to the Grassy world of Yavar. After completing this mission, Roan was on his way back to the acadamy when the diplomatic crusier he was riding in was ambushed by pirates. Even though it would seem he was destined to die out in the depths os space, the Force had a different Idea. Roan was miraculasly recovred by a band of Jedi lead by a master named Gundark. Feeling a debt to these Jedi, and something else that he still cannot pinpoint exactly, Roan joined these Jedi. He traveled with them all the way to the remote planet of Zetion where they battled mysterious (To him) Dark Jedi for control of a Mausoleaum. After leaving this planet and returing to the Acadamy Roan was awarded a Padawan. After a long period of Deliberation and observation he Decided to go with Sunda Zannashar because of his simalarity to her. Now Roan Splits his time between training and teaching his Padawan, waiting for the next big mission to arise.

Ushgarak
I didn't say to post it here, I said room would be create for them here eventually. I need them all up front, not buried in the thread.

Starkiller? Hmm, ok...

Tptmanno1
Oh well when you need it I'll PM it to you, I've got it saved on my comp

Ushgarak
Well, I'll just copy it from there...

Darth Revan
There's a guy in KOTOR named Bendak Starkiller...

Ushgarak
It's a classic Star Wars name Revan- Luke's original surname in fact.

General Zink
Yep! And before that even, in the original Star Wars script, with Kane Starkiller and his sons.

Tptmanno1
Starkiller=Smith in Star Wars?
Wierd.

BTY I bought the commemerative leatherbound, gold leaf ofn the edges of the pages, including all five books, Version of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. For 17.00$ too!

Ushgarak
The last two are less good.

Track down the original two radio series! Tv version is worth checking out as well. But the radio was the original.

You can also play the 'spot how many planet names I nicked for this game from Hitchhiker's' game. Gundy was playing that from the start.

General Zink
All of them have been nicked, haven't they?

Except Tartarus, which is the Greek underworld...

Tptmanno1
well I almost finished the first book.
And I haven't found any planets.
Hey what was the name of the planet with those annoying insects from the last mission. I'll bet that's a hitchhiker Name!

General Zink
Dordellus?

Ushgarak
Actually, Zeiton was made up to sound like something you would find in Flash Gordon- the Frog People of Zeiton...

General Zink
laughing out loud

That sounds pretty Flash Gordonish.

Tptmanno1
interesting, the creative thought-process of Ush.

General Zink
It is very interesting to see the thinking behind the creating. smile

Ushgarak
Note that Pilot Tricks are up in the Main Rules section- though the rules they apply to are not...

Captain REX
Just a bit of confusion here; if I want to buy a Gun Trick, whereas Galder had none before, does it cost me just six, or do I have to include the number of levels in Blade Tricks as well?

Captain REX
Nevermind, I decided against the Gun Trick in exchange for another Force power...

Ushgarak
Okidokey, but just so you know, no, when buying a new type of trick (for which you must have at least a 12 in the relevant skill), x is zero.

Fire
yea rex stupid american stick out tongue

Captain REX
You chocolatey Belgian you... stick out tongue

Thanks Ush, it'll help me think in the future. yes

I traded Carnage Lvl 1 for Force Speed, btw. I want Galder to be fast and strong so that he kicks everyone's ass pretty damned quick.

Ushgarak
Traded in what way?

Captain REX
I had enough XP to buy a Gun Trick, and it ended up costing the same amount as a new Force power for Galder. I was going with the Gun Trick, but decided to go for Force Speed instead. They both cost 6, with the Force math rounded up and such.

Ushgarak
Ok, just trying to hammer down the stats of the upcoming Light Side combatants...

Densk, cannot see where your character got re-posted, if you wanted him changed. Likewise, Xeth, if you re-invested Total Cover, I cannot find where you said it!

Any other mistakes people in Anzat can see?

Captain REX
I think Xeth posted his changes in the Character Creation thingy...

Ushgarak
Had to remove Carnage from Xeous as he didn't have Intuition, which is really not on for a Jedi.

xeous
So what, do I get to add another power or do I just lose one?

Ushgarak
I gave you Intuition.

Captain REX
You'll live, trust me. Killing mooks is easy even without it...

Bespin Bart
How come I no longer have the Ally?

xeous
Yeah but, I changed so much just to keep Carnage...I don't think it's very fair just to steal it from me. sad

<Tidus>
Ushgarak how come Im not in the light Siders thread sad

Ushgarak
Because you arenl't finished.

Must have lost the ally somewhere in transit, Xeth; he'll get back in there.

And Xeous, if you wanted a top-level power like Carnage, you took the wrong template.

General Zink
Yes, Carnage is more for me...but I didn't buy it...

Captain REX
So, where's Gundy's loadout? stick out tongue

Ushgarak
It's still halfway through. Every time I see her I'm too sick to get it done.

Trickster
Sorry Ush, I'm going to have to do things by parts, as I don't have Word on this computer, and can't open more than one window sad

Tanic will take Master Obfuscate and Illusion. I guess messed

Stealth Agent
Hey since i cant use total cover level 3 and block level 1 what can i replace that with?

Ushgarak
Check the list and replace with with existing Tricks.

Captain REX
How can you run with a half-done template loadout? stick out tongue

Tptmanno1
No fighting for Gundy!

Stealth Agent
How many tricks do i get to replace it with?

Dexx
replace what with?

Ushgarak
With as many as you had, obviously.

Stealth Agent
wait i forget if i was at total cover level 3 is that 3 tricks

Ushgarak
Just re-do it all from the list.

Captain REX
I calculated...and it should be the same as before. 19/4+1 is 5.75, rounded up is 6. And that is how much I spent before. I may have messed up the first time though...

XP
28 XP to Increased Lightsaber Skill
6 XP to new Force Power
4 XP to new Skill at +1 (Pilot)
2 XP to new Skill at +1 (Languages)

Stealth Agent
ush how many tricks do i get im confused to hell i looked at the main rules and i cant find it

Stealth Agent
i mean how many tricks do i get altogether? from the beggining

Ushgarak
Just check your template, SA.

Stealth Agent
Im litterally crying i cant find it where on the template

Dexx
okay..what template are you?

Bespin Bart
He's a Freelancer.

Stealth Agent
i looked all over the template i dont see where it says

Im such a retard sorry bout all this?

Why aint I still on the list?

Ushgarak
I've not updated it yet. Don't worry, it will be there before you need it!

Stealth Agent
I considered those stats or something its been so long since i read the rules

heres an updated list of my lightsaber tricks

CARNIVAL OF CARNAGE

This enabled you to kill less capable opponents- i.e. mooks- instinctively, without thought.

Level 1- your sabre attacks get an additional Mook Killing Power

Level 2- the MKP becomes +2
Level 3- your sabre attacks against mooks now take two frames

MIND OF THE WARRIOR

This trick represents a sabre fighter who has learned to effortlessly use the force to make aggressive sabre moves.

Discounts:

Level 1- Strike
Level 2- Combination

MULTIPLE ATTACKS

Some sabreists excel at moves that attack multiple opponents.
Each level at multiple attack reduces the penalty for attacking more than one opponent with your sabre by one- the maximum penalty reduction is four.

At Level 3 you may also attack one opponent twice- both attacks are at -1 to hit and a dodge on one attack is a dodge on both.

Stealth Agent

MERITS

One Merit to Ally
One Merit to Starship
One Merit to Starship (Swoop Bike)

FORCE POWERS

THE KINETIC TREE

PUSH/PULL- Force 1, Frames 1

Use the Force to shove an object away or towards you. Pulling is at +2 difficulty. This only works on objects up to half human size. This power is used to manipulate smaller objects, and cannot be used offensively- that is done with the power 'Combat Push'.

LIFT- Force 3, Frames 3

Remotely lift an object, slowly- theoretically of any size, but the larger the object, the higher the difficulty until it becomes effectively impossible. It may be sustained for two force points every three frames, but you may not take any action, including defensive ones, whilst sustaining.

BASH- Force 3, Frames 3

Use the Force to remotely hit an object with a firm, concentrated push. This can break small objects and barriers. It can be used against people but is not very effective; if it is used so, it is a Force attack with a base damage of 10- this damage is not increased by Outcome. It gets two hits on a Mook.

COMBAT PUSH- Force 2, Frames 3

This is a powerful shove that aggressively throws an opponent down. This is not very useful against named characters, who will quickly regain their feet even if knocked down at all, but is a very useful way to take mooks out of a fight. Combat Push is a Force Attack with a base damage of zero, but a Mook Killing Power of +1.

Combat Push can also be used to pull weapons out of the hands of attackers. A successful hit will disarm a gun; you need an Outcome of two or more to remove a melee weapon and five or more to remove a Lightsabre (not very practical).

THE AGILITY TREE

JUMP- Force 1, Frames x

This allows you to jump up to your Strength in metres. It is no faster than running, so the frame cost is the amount of time it would take you to run there in a straight line (even if straight upwards!). Some jumps may require an acrobatics roll for a safe landing.

SIDESTEP- Force 2, Frames 1

This represents effort made to concentrate on using the Force to avoid incoming fire. It increases your effective Strength by 3, for the purposes of reducing damage only. It lasts until the end of the sequence.

MASTER JUMP- Force 2+x, Frames x

As Jump, but the range is twice your strength in metres. This distance may be improved by one metre for each extra force point (the 'x' in 2+x) spent.

FLYING CHARGE- Force 3, Frames 3

This is like Jump, but you may attack any targets you pass during the Jump, including any you land by (standard penalties apply for attacking more than one opponent). The difficulty for landing with a Flying Charge is normally higher.

You may also use Flying Charge during a standard move action, instead of jumping.

THE SPEED TREE

DRAW- Force 1, Frames 0

Draw any weapon you are carrying at no frame cost. If you have Push/Pull, this can be done at a distance for one extra Force.

STRIKE- Force 3, Frames 2

Make a melee attack- note that this attack only takes two frames. Strike may not be used on an attack that would otherwise have taken more than 3 frames.

RIPOSTE- Force 3, Frames 1

Use when attacked by an opponent within close combat range. This is a Defensive action, that allows you to make a clsoe combat attack on that opponent after his attack. If his attack hit, Riposte is at -2 to hit.

REFLECTION- Force 2, Frames 1

Reflect energy attacks back at the firer. This is a Defensive Action that can only be made against energy weapons. It does not increase your dodge, but alows you to Reflect up to three times, or until you act again.

If an attack you are trying to reflect misses, the attack is made back upon the firer, with a skill equal to the amount the firer missed by. So if the attacker needed a 13 to hit you, and rolled a 7, then he missed by six, so you immediately get an attack back with a skill of 6.

REACTION- Force 1, Frames 0

'Reaction' allows you to use another Force power at zero frame cost, and also to use it defensively if it is not normally a defensive power. You may buy Reaction more than once; each time you buy it you may chose another power you can use reactively. Right now there are three powers you can react with:

Combat Push: Pull a gun away from an attacker, knock an attacker over, return a grenade to an attacker

THE LIVING FORCE TREE

SENSE- No cost

Sense is THE basic Force power, that enables you to sense disturbances in the Force, the presence of other minds, and to know what happens a second before it does- giving you your Jedi reflexes. Without Sense, you cannot use a sabre defensively (it takes more than speed to intercept laster blasts!). Unlike Intuition, you must actively tell me to use Sense if you want to check if something is wrong or if anyone is about.

SCAN- Force 1, Frames 3

Scan allows you to 'read' the mind of another. It does not give you their thoughts, but allows you to sense their emotions and intents. Scan is a Mind Trick.

ELAN- Force 5/Special, Frames 0

Even Jedi make conventional mistakes- but such is their tie to the Force and the future, they far more rarely make large slip ups.

You may use Elan if you ever botch- it cancels the botch. Elan costs five force in combat, or reduces your Force rating for the rest of the story by one if used outside of conbat, like in a social situation.

INSTINCTS- no cost

Whereas Cosmic Force proponents tend to carefully predict and plan in advance, Living Force adherents tend to trust in the Force to help them to makre the right decision at the time, in the moment- to trust their instincts. Instincts is a Premonition power. If you use it before a story, I roll on the preminition table, adding all relevant bonuses and adding +1 if you reduce your Force rating by one for the episode.

Unlike other premionition powers, Instincts tells you nothing about the story to come. Instead, it makes you more likely to do things right DURING the story. In game terms, this comes in the form of re-rolls; you can declare a re-roll on any roll you like that you just made and were not happy with. A Minor Instinctive Feel gives you one such re-roll for the episode, a Good Feel gives you two, and a Great Feel 3.

COMBAT TRICKS
CHANNEL- Pool 1, Frames 3

Make an unarmed attack. That attack does Strength +3 damage, with a Killing Power of +1

SURPRISE STRIKE- Pool 1, Frames 3- requires Channel

Make an unarmed attack. That attack gets +2 to hit.

HARD STRIKE- Pool 1, Frames 3

Make an unarmed attack. That attack does Strength +3 damage, with a Killing Power of +1

HEAD BUTT- Pool 1, Frames 0- requires Hard Strike

Use when a close combat attack just missed you. Immediately attack back, This attack does Strength +4 damage and has a Killing Power of +1. Predictable.

NERVE ATTACK- Pool 3, Frames 3- requires Head Butt

Make an unarmed attack. That attack does Strength +5 damage, with a Killing Power of +2. It may not work on non-humanoids, droids, and some aliens.

TRIP- Pool 1, Frames 3

Make an unarmed attack- however, you may be carrying a melee weapon. If successful, the target takes your strength in damage, though not increased by Outcome, and is sent Prone.

Background: Vlad was a renegade not long ago when he joined the Jedi. He was a renegade since 16 years old after his family was murdered by mercenaries. Some peaple would choose to be Jedi so they could do good and Avenge their family. But Vlad picked a diffrent way... He chose to be a Renegade because he liked working alone, And he didnt like the Jedi at all. With all the bowing and everything. He adventures from place to place doing his own justice which he thinks is right. In other words Vlad was all the Jedi Renegade kind that Ush wrote. He taught himself the lightsaber himself, but he practices with his body more. He has alot of pride in his body. After many years of being a renegade he chose to finaly go to the Jedi COuncil. The reason was that he wanted more adventure, So he thought being a Jedi would make his assignments more adventurers and dangerous. When Vlad came to the jedi council they observed him and tested him. Thought VLad prooved his elegant abilities with a lightsaber and his athletic moves, THe Council decided to put him as a padawan. THat was because they didnt trust VLad, He was a renegade and the council didnt seem to like that. Vlad was enraged by that but soon found the adventures as a padawan interesting but not dangerous. He learned the Jedi code quickly and became a Jedi Knight quickly.
