the black album by metallica............

I can't really think of any greatest albums of ALL time right now because so many factors would be involved like musical innovation/experimentation/evolution or complexity, impact, lyrical quality, lack of filler, how well it 'connects' with you etc and also - even though alot of that can be empirically measured a lot of it is subjective too. Plus if it's all time then anyone from Handle to Madonna and more can be included but anyway - some of my faves (yep does include greatest hits because well, many good songs in one place) which I can listen to no matter how many years in between or even if they are current are:

Bon Jovi - Crossroad (was going to say Slippery When Wet but I prefer this because it has more I listen to even if it misses out other greats)
Enigma - Principles of Lust

She wrote MOST? Most doesn't cut it. You either write all of your songs and sing live or you're not a singer and you have no talent.

It's not up for debate nor is it down to opinion. She sucks.

No Toxic and Everytime are good

If she sucks then why is she still around now? It's been 5-6 years already and most singers can't even make it past one or two singles. She obviously has many fans who adore her and recognize her for who she is-- an amazing entertainer. If you ever went to one of her concerts you would know-- no other concert would be a bigger bang for the buck. She dances for about 2 hours straight and goes through 10 different costume changes. Sure she lipsyncs but it's just a different form of entertainment. Some people go to concerts to hear vocals, but Britney fans go for the visual candy, the great dance moves, and the pure entertainment. I must admit she's not a great singer, but she's the best entertainer IMO.

My point was, she cannot write good songs, she has them written for her. She cannot sing hence why she mimes at her shows. Hence making her a musician with no musical talent.

Trust me, there are better shows out there than Britney. There are talented musicians who dance around for hours onstage while actually playing their music. Which they actually wrote.

No they aren't. Britney fans just know what entertainment is. If they're so stupid you should go on thefacebook and see how many britney fans there are (and in case you don't know what thefacebook is, it's similar to friendster except that it's limited to only students in the top universities).

LoL, as a Britney fan, I'm always amused at how much controversy she creates.. especially in forums like these.

Look... Go do yourself a favor and see a Marilyn Manson concert, I've never been to one myself, but I'm told his concerts are absolutely amazing, with all his antics onstage. Same with Tool, they put on incredible concerts. Or Metallica, for that matter... Now THAT'S entertainment.

The number of fans an artist has means nothing. Name any artist you hate, and I promise I can find a fansite for them, or one that has a lot of people who like that particular person/band.

Britney doesn't create controversy coz nothing she could ever do would shock me.

She's doing nothing Madonna didn't do all those years ago. She's only doing better because she's better looking.

Britney needs media hype to survive. Hence why she said:

"In this shot I'm gonna be naked but covered in diamonds".

Really? I swear it was revealed to be a flesh covered suit. She wants attention coz she knows more and more people realise that she's nothing.

She got lucky. Pop music is the most fickle industry in the world. Some old guy with glasses and and a ponytail sits in an office writing songs, while his agents go out onto the streets and pick up the best looking blonde teenage girl they can find, then get her to lip-sync the song the guy in the office wrote. The only reason shes still around is because her agents choose songs which the kiddies just happen to like, and because shes an expert on publicity stunts. Dating Timberlake, getting married and divorced on the same day, 'crying' in an interview, french kissing a 40 year old pop queen ...etc.

Give it 2 more years, no one will even remember the name 'Britney Spears'. The average rock band is around for anything between 10-20 years, the average popstar (with a few exceptions) between 2-5 years.

She can dance? How much does her dancing matter when you put the CD in the stereo? Musicians aren't good because they can dance. I buy CD's for music not choreography. She has no good songs and if you wanna class her singing ability then technically she'll be in the list of the worst, not best. Purely because she doesn't sing live, she mimes. Why? Coz she can't sing.

Britney Spears has her songs written for her, mimes at a LIVE show coz she can't sing, uses lies to generate more response (yes, coz she needs it) and even has her so-called "great dance moves" taught to her by a choreographer.

Where in that woman you see a reason to call her anything but a worthless puppet is a mystery.......AKA not there at all.

If I want a dancing, talentless, human Barbie I'll watch a Pamela Anderson strip show.

If you concede that the best is not synonymous with your favourite, by what criteria are you judging 'best'?

best is the best songs, music, however, i get tired of listening to the same albums/songs all the time, and so my favorite changes from month to month....disturbed's down with the sickness was just so sick and twisted that i had to love it...
