Who is your favourate DC character?

I'm not a big fan of DC, but the new Green Lantern Series has been good since Hal went mad and killed off the guardians and GL corps.

norrin radd
Batman, no doubt on this one.

eleveninches
I voted for Hal.

FrothByte
i've always liked the idea of the character archangel michael, but its soooo hard to find info on him. cud anyone give me a little background on him.

eleveninches
hes son of god and brother of lucifer. I think he has a daughter who worked for lucifer, preventing immortals from entering lucifers newly created universe.

Magee
Well when u live in my part of the uk ur limited to about one dc comic and thats the new batman series wink

eleveninches
The only places I know of in the UK that sells a large range of comic boks are the forbidden planet stores. Luckily for me, there is a branch only about half a kilometre away from my flat smile

I spend way to much there though. sad

kal-el
Calamity comics have afew stores too.And you can subscribe to various websites to get all your comics.

eleveninches
I am currently collecting: New x-men, thanos, captain marvel, 1602. I sometimes get a random graphic novel or issues of ultimate x-men, new mutents, NYX etc..
I just got a copy of Green Lantern:Emerald Twilight, and think that I will now start to collect green lantern comics.

Magee
Got damit i would so luv to collect the newest Thanos series and 1602 looks so cool lol. I live in scotland and i can only get a few comics from newsagents or wh smiths. It seriously sucks. And my mum doesnt like me using her credit card online!! mad

even if neither is near you, I'm sure you can ring one and set something up like send them payment in post and get them to send you your fave comics monthly, that way your ma doesnt have to use her card. I hope this helps buddy

FrothByte
Well i live in a country where everything is delayed. Movies are shown here 1 month delayed. hellboy was only released here last april 21. if that happens with movies, imagine how laid back our comics stores are.
grrr.... i could only envy the issues you talk about.

Red Superfly
Na na na na na na na, BATMAAAAAN!

eleveninches
I dont think hellboy is released in the UK yet.

The only comics available in the UK outside of speciallised comic book stores/independent markets are the UK collectors editions, which are kind of a compillation of stories from various comics released at the same time as each other. However, the newest edition has only just started with new x-men: e is for extinction, so they are about 4 or 5 years behind.

FrothByte
Hellboy the movie wasn't shown there yet? Im talking about hellboy the movie.

eleveninches
I know. Its not out here yet.

eleveninches
Anyway, I think this thread has got rather off topic. Please keep on topic.

Super-Man-Lives
start the thread again. the grandfather of heros, all. SUPERMAN. faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive. you don't need to know comics to understand SUPERMAN, oh, and JUDE LAW is english, right. he'd play the best Superman. Up, Up, and away.

eleveninches
I liked the superman analogy on Kill bill2 (where he explains how superman is unique in that superman is his true identity, and clark kent is his alter ego). Superman is a classic iconic hero that paved the way for all other superheros.
However, superman comics are not very well written, and therefore, my vote for favourate character has to go to Hal.
I am not really into DC, but I have started to collect the new green Lantern series from when Hal went mad.

eleveninches
The new green Lantern series is what first got me into DC comics (one annoying thing about DC is that the paper quality is far inferior to marvel comics).

wolverine8888
