well, as I may have mentioned before, I host a TV show in Australia and today I got to interview John Noble who plays Denethor and Stephen Ure (Grishnakh, Gorbag).

Now ofcourse being a total LOTR nerd, I asked about the Palantir...
and unfortunatley it was never filmed, so even in the EE Denethors madness is left unexplained (aside from the loss of family).

but I'll try and get the interview MPEGed or something and put it up somewhere, at the very least i'll post some screen caps on this thread.
-should be available in a week or so...

Noble was a really fun and friendly guy too. I even got a hug at the end of the interview...

so annyway... how cool is that?!?

as soon as i get my copy of the episode (+ I insisted on having the unedidted long versions as well of course) i'll MPEG it.

and yeah, i'd love to interview Wenham and Otto (esp. Otto), but thy're pretty busy people...
John Reese Davies was suppose to be there aswell, btu his flight got postponed and he's not comming to sydney now

also I forgot to mention, I asked Stephen Ure if there would be a super extra special extneded version or something, and he said that there was going to be an R rated version... with lots of gore and blood (which quite frankly is what Peter Jackson is famous for). He said that for the whole trilogy the fimed over 80 miles of film.

he also mention he played a third orc, in the first film who was sarumans Leitenant orc, but those scenes ended up on the cutting room floor...

but i'm pretty phsyched for the horror-gore fest version... eh?

yeah, no face - no place! that's someone else...

it looks very posed. besides which palantirs don't work that way, they're not portable radios, they must be stable and facing in exactly the right direction. what happened to pippin was a fluke!

that reminds me... I once had a dream I had a job working in Orthanc, and Saruman had me tuning in the Palantir!!! just thought that was funny. - it took a while too...

the hand that's holding the palantir looks fake lol like it's done with graphics?

Most of the Decipherpix do and I have no idea why... even of theyre directly from the movie... they still look graphically edited

okay...
each interview went for 10-15 minutes but on the show itself, they only ran for ONE minute...
i had to purchase the original tapes, to prevent them from being recorded over... and so spent the last few weeks trying to secure a camera and fire wire and whatnot to mpeg it all, but i failed to...

but it's okay, cause the producer and editer are back and they're fixing it up for me this weekend, so screen caps will be up soon with trnscript.
