First of all people this is not even a fair battle because there is no way superman can beat goku you can't even class the two of them. Just look at their villains. I would class superman with a being like Cell(which he has no chance against at all just tell me what superman is supposed to do to kill a being like cell). I have heard all of you run on with shit about he is stronger than goku but can you tell me one thing that goku can't lift. They (Goku and Krillin) were lifting pyrimids with their minds at the start of the Z series when their power levels were just in the hundreds. First of all let's breakdown supes from his core. All of Supes power was given to him from the sun his near invunrability his fake strength( yes fake, supes lifts everything heavy through a form of self telkenisis which he also uses to fly). Supes invunrabilty comes from a forcefeild which is all the time around his whole body. which goku, vegeta, brolly and the androids proved the cold also do in the series so cancel out the durability shit because if goku wants to get cheesy like supes he could. Only problem is he never faced a serious opponent who was going to destroy the universe not just the earth. Okay let's breakdown DBZ from it's core. Everthing in DBZ is based on power, ki, energy in other words the force that controls everything. The planet shattering goku can transfer all the power in his body which I might add could destroy every known planet in the universe into his body form which it came and punch superman once and superman will no longer exist. Trust. The point I am trying to get at is supes never took a universe destroying punch from anyone not even doomsday his toughest oppenent he may be can take on all the light shit no problem but he can't handle the most powerful being in the universe. His little sheild that protects him would fizzle away at goku's awsome power goku would hit him once and he will see that he has just ****ed with a god.

ugh. goku has no business being in a comic book forum. just give up dragonball z fans. the writers never put a power cap on him and the history was all f*cked up. first it was supposed to be that there is a super saiyen every 10,000 years. ok, so goku is the super sayien. then what happens? the writers break their own rules and turn him super sayien 2. then ss3. THEN ss4. and they make everyone in goku's f*cking family super sayien 5 billion or whatever f*ckin number they are up to now. they keep changing things, breaking their own rules. its like his power is unlimited. Superman's power is limited so this obviously isnt a fair fight. lets go ahead and match him up with someone else whos power is unlimited. lets say....Lucifer. as the son of THE GOD, Lucifer can do whatever the f*ck he pleases. if he wants, he can take a shit and make a new galaxy. that means, Lucifer blinks and not only is your precious goku is incinerated, but the rest of the dragonball z universe, and all their dimensions. there. it is done. take your dragonball z crap to a Toonami forum.

I no literally nothing about the awsome power superman((a little too over the top for my taste)) has becuase Ive been sucked into the anime hype that has plauged america thanks to pokemon.

I realize how mean I sound but Ive been over this 5 times now. plenty of people could destroy every person from dbz gt whatever and they could do it easily and single handedly. Superman is one of them.

dragon ball z is much too inconsistent to the point where it becomes idiocratic. take goku for instance. he's powerful enough to blow up planets and such, yet when he gets home and chichi gets pissed with him, she hits him with a plate in the head and he gets a big lump on his head. we're talking about a guy who could withstand outer space without getting his skin ripped by the vacuum of space and yet gets bruised when his wife hits him on the head. total lunacy. its a very entertaining show (i used to watch it) but it hardly provides good grounds for debates like this.

But in an overall fight between Superman and Goku. Goku would win, why? because the creator just made him too f*ucking powerful, to entertain lil' boys and girls. Especially when they say "wow!! he blew up a planet!" or "that guys the strongest in the entire universe!!". Supes is totally unbelievable anyway, but Goku and Co. has just jumped the line 372942174971984 times, for lil kids sakes.

This thread is utterly pointless. Goku won't win, he can't win. Now it hurts me to say that because I'm a huge DBZ fan, but I will explain why I know Goku will lose.

First of all I'll explain Power. Goku has an almost unlimited capacity for power, in other words The more fights Goku has the more powerful he'll become. The Super Saiya-jin forms are merely methods of holding this power without dying. However each transformation requires physical exertion, the higher the level the more exertion required not to mention the time it takes for Goku to reatch new levels. Superman gains his power from the yellow sun, as long as it shines he should get stronger not to mention that Clark does not need to transform to increase his power.
Next strength. Goku can not I repeat CAN NOT lift forty tons without transforming into a Super Saiya-jin. The anime (and VENOMfan) proved this. Superman can lift 100 tons normally and this could increase as long as he recives radiation from the sun.
Speed. Speed is inconsistant in DBZ, at the start of the series Piccilo states that Raditz can move faster than the speed of light but Goku states later that the fastsed method of moving is instant translocation which moves at the speed of light. Also when fighting Goku and his opponent will dissapear and reapear at least 5 times in a matter of Nano seconds. Superman has moved at 99% the speed of light. I'll call this equal but I'm leaning towards Supes since Goku needs to concentrate to use IT.
Fighting Skills. Gokus only advantage. He's a Saiya-jin born and bred for fighting, he loves the challange of a battle and rarley backs down. He has also been trained by some of the greatest fighters in the universe. Supes got training by Mongul but I'm not sure about the rest so Goku takes this one.
Extra Sensory Abilities. Goku can sense where people are and locate them even in the most extreme conditions. However this may not work on Supes because his power comes from solar energy not ki energy. Goku is also telepathic and can look and talk in other peoples minds. He has done this with Gohan, Krillin, King Kai and Guru. Superman's senses are enhanced so much he can hear ants from miles away. He also a range of spectral visions.

Special abilities. Goku can sense high ki energy levels has telepathy and can gather and focus energy. Thats it. Everything else goku does from flight to the Spirit Bomb is done by gathering and focusing energy. Superman has Class 100 strength, super speed, flight enhanced senses, heat vision, X-ray vision, ice breath and enhanced durability.
So you see this is a fight Goku won't win. That isn't to say he can't but it is very unlikley

Wrong Goku can't beat everyone in comic books. In fact most comic book characters would beat Goku without to much effort. It's just that fan boys everywhere can't accept that Goku can lose. Therefore we get these useless threads.
