Machete_guy
I my self think that Bride of chucky was very unscary for my friend built up the suspence that it was going to be 'the most scarriest movie i have ever seen'...nooo..well i still enjoyed the flick.

What about you guys? smile

zombie_master
well i got 3 horror movies that are so dumb dont watch them for i sec
1. the dead next door
2slashers
3 axtonville(or somthing like that i cant remember to good)
I about killed myself after watching these

Cinemaddiction
I'll go out on a limb, maybe even hurt some peoples feelings in the process, lol.

The Exorcist
Amityville Horror
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Poltergeist
Phantasm
Blair Witch Project
The Ring

Just to name a few. Of course, the majority of those are old and dated, perhaps scary for their time period, and just can;t stand the test of time.

zombie_master
yes the ones u named did suck very badly i like the new remade texas chainsaw massacre but not the old one

Darkseed
Freddy v Jason (wasn`t scary but fun all the same).

House Of 1000 Corpses (cant say much other than it was as scary as a tellytubby waving a chainsaw about).

Blair Witch (wasn`t scary, but the end had the same impact on me as the door shutting scene from the first TCM where leatherface meat klievered the guys head in and dragged him inside and slammed the door shut, i was shocked because i didn`t expect it to happen like that).

Ghost Ship (though one moment made my heart race, where she was climbing the ladder and the little girl was standing at the top looking at her and it made her fall back down the ladder into the pool).

Resident Evil (About as scary as having freddy freuger as your babysitter, not !!!!).

zombie_master
yes i forgot about resident evil i play the games accually i love the games. My friend and i were very hyped to go see the movies we could hardly contain ourselfs and then we saw it and I was never thesame agin cuz it sucked big time

Colabee
I haveto admit that although I enjoy watching Scream it doesn't scare me because you know it is possible to outwit the killer because they are only human (and 'teenagers' aswell). It's the paranormal horror movies that scare me because if somethings after you that's dead or isn't human they have abilities you don't have like invading your dreams, changing shape or climbing out the tv set. Hardly a fair match so the hero/heroine of the movie is more likely to think "Oh sh*t" and I'm sat watching them thinking the same thing.

HockeyFace
How h
orror movies scare you when people are kissing at the end. THINK ABOUT IT! Kissing after nearly getting your head chopped off by a nutcase.

Darkseed
I`ve been a diehard fan of the games sinse day one, i knew it was going to suck when anderson mad took control of it, especially when i heard what his script was like, it`s as unfaithful to the games as it can be, infact it couldn`t be anymore unfaithful if it tried.

If anyone likes it, it`s because they like it as a movie on it`s own not for being linked to the games, as there`s nothing to link it to the games except for a couple of measly things like mentioning the T-Virus and umbrella oooh how exciting (feeble atempt at sarcasm there).

Take away the title "resident evil" and then try and search for any sign of it being faithful or being close to the games, you`ll not find anything at all, anderson can burn in hell for what he`s done and about to do.

When it comes to RE a hell of a lot of time and dedication should have been put into the script as it is resident evil we`re talking about here not some average horror movie like the finished product turned out to be.

rant over...for now big grin .

tabby999
yeah but i'm sure really, the essence tof the game couldn't be converted to the movie. the game works because you choose the path, you choose how the characters move and stuff. in the movie they have to have it all move forward as quick as possible.

Darkseed
They could have had it feel like the games, they could have with the riight person at the helm of the script, but when you give a no-talented hack something with this much intellegiance and horror and what not in it your going to end up with what we have just now.

I know you cant capture what it`s like to play the games when making a movie, but it could have felt like them by that i mean have the same tension atmosphere violence gore THAT`S not impossible as that just requires some one who know`s what they are doing.

The movie failed in all of those elements, that and the script was pathetic, hell i`m writing a zombie book/novel (not based on the RE series) and yet i`ve no experiance at this kind of thing, i`ve gave the first 5 chapters to 4 different people and none of them says it`s sh*t, they all keep asking the same "you got any more" plus they point out any flaws i may have made (which are not many, thankfully).

They need not hit us with the sh*t that it was the studio to blame for the cr*p scripting, it was anderson not the suits, look at Dawn Of The Dead (2004) it is made by a big studio and yet it is a damn good movie, what RE should have been if you ask me big grin .

PissedOffGoalie
i'd have to say The Brotherhood...about as scary as a wet sponge

zombieman
Ill go for the later Friday the 13th films.

VallejoKid707
I think The Ring and House of the Dead (I dont even think it counts as a horror movie but whatever)

Machete_guy
I just watched 28 days later...LAME!!!!!! NOT SCARY!!!

Gregory
I don't know what the least scary horror movie is, but I think I know who released it: Full Moon Entertainment. In my experience, most of the things they release are viable contenders.

Cinemaddiction
The underlying, and extremely real/credible social implications in the movie are indeed frightening.

darkesthorror
Horrible films; Halloween: Resurrection, Jason X (Contradicting and hypocritical enough; I own both on DVD).

Machete_guy
hmmm halloween resurrection, i liked that. But not jason X!yawn

Machete_guy
Are you sure you talking about 28 days later?

zombie_master
I remember why i didnt like resident evil aside from it didnt tie into the game there wasnt enough zombie killing i hate it when they just run and run and run. While they did kill afew it wasnt worth it but ima go see resident evil 2 cuz that has nemises on it rock

eggmayo
of cause hes talking about 28 Days Later.
It shows the horrific consequences of a virus, experiments on animals and many other thing that could be just around the corner in this day and age.

Machete_guy
i hated 28 days later...

midnightshadow
i thought the Exorcist was utter s***! not scary at all!
and Pet Semetery was pathetic, youd have thought the guy would have learned his lesson!?!? he totally deserved what he got!

vegeance
the snakehead terror

moonwalker741
blair witch wuz freaky...but it real didnt scare me...so im not sure then

...but resident evil wuz rele stupid <so that made it unscary

CaPtaInCLaUdiA
yes even the fact that they brought theose girls to the facility so they can reproduce is scary, that would be terrifying experience especially for the younger girl.

Lord Shadow Z
I'd say the Resident Evil film was not at all scary when it really should be, considering the effort the games and fiction put into it. I mean you want to see really scary zombies and creatures, not just people limping about groaning and making a really bad job about it. The dogs were made to look like the most friendly animal I've seen on film when brought in front of Milla Jokovich (fights them hand-to-hand- how unrealistic).

Drifter101
the chucky films are funny to me, usually all horror films now are funny, but one that totally had nothing.... i was expecting so much from The Ring, and everyone said it was soooo scary then when i saw it , i was like......... eh so id have to say The Ring

OrliObsessor1
The Chucky Films, The Ring, Halloween (Good, but not scary), Freddy Vs Jason

PissedOffGoalie
28 days later was great and Jason X is more funny than scary but i still liked it

Myersfan 14
i will have to say that the ring sucked ass

MichaelMyerscoo
The Ring, Jeepers Creepers, Jeeper Creepers 2, House On Haunted Hill.

BlackMamBA
Killer Klowns from outer spce That Movie suck SO BAD!!

MichaelMyerscoo
FROGS that movie was stupid.

leatherface12
The house of the dead, it was pure crap and hardly ever even showed someone get killed. Everytime someone got killed it turned away and you just hear a scream. Thats almost the whole frickin movie. That movie is gay and it sucks

Cinemaddiction
You guys are namin' a bunch of films that I don't necessarily think tried to be scary to begin with.

However, I do believe that Scary Spice's role alone in "Spiceworld" was relatively tame.

MichaelMyerscoo
Water Ship Down. That movie is only about some big cute bunnies eating people. Like that would ever happen.

FeceMan
I found The Ring to be quite frightening simply because of the way it was written and directed. I mean, I don't get freaked out by blood and gore and stuff, but a couple parts unnerved me.

1. The video thing. The pure randomness and lack of sound just creeped me out.

2. When the horse went nuts. The way it just freaked out and got chopped up jolted me.

3. When the old guy committed suicide. I should say that one "jolted" me as well. Eh? Eh?

Jason X was very funny...when the one girl was "raising her grade", we were like, "What the hell, I thought this was a horror movie, not a porno." Then Jason grabs that chick, shoves her face into a bunch of liquid nitrogen, and smashes it on the counter. We started laughing (in a disturbing manner, to say the least).

Elektra_lover
The Blair Witch Project sucked

ladygrim
the ring isnt scary its just f.ked up

FEDFAN316
i think that the following wern't so much scarry as creepy:
Jason V (it's not the same without the real jason)
28 days later (the dude should've just shot the crow!)
the Ring (i figured it all out so it's not that scary anymore)
Ghost Ship (same as the Ring)
Gothika (wasn't scary to begin with, just suspensfull and mysterious)
Freddy vs Jason (after the first 3 times it got boring knowing what they're gonna say next)
i'll think of more later
when i watched the Ring the first time,it freaked me out but i started figuring it out and it's not scary just ask if you didn't get it
i just remembered the Chucky movies they used to scare me as a kid,but not anymore,it's just fun to predict who goes next now! stick out tongue smile
see ya

@F1
Jaws 3 or as it was known Jaws 3D, the only scary thing about this movie was, that it made it to the Cinema.

ladygrim
the ring was not scary ....

§words point
it seem that the viris was knda like rabies

FEDFAN316
it seemed like a f***ed up form of it.cause they could only travel in the dark or at night which is weird

raze reborn
Dawn of the dead .pretty damn hilarious .
imean ,screech
Bang
zombie baby dead .

wicker_man
Some horror films (such as Dog Soldiers, Evil Dead 2 & 3, Undead and erm Bad Taste to name but a few) were most likely designed with a non-scare factor in mind, i could go on forever stating these types of titles however films like:

The Exorcist
The Amityville
The Ring (American Version)
Silence of The Lambs
etc

Were aimed at this aforementioned market and although they all vary on levels of 'watchablity' non of them made me scared or at best provide me with one good jump.

Cinemaddiction
"The Grudge" and "SAW" belong on this list.

Micheal_Myers
I'm suprised nobody has mentions "Psycho" yet.Though I thought that movie was a bit scary. Some films that seem a bit scarier than it.For example...nevermind...no youre not.

But still I would think some of you would find that movie unscary but whatever. Now for my list...

(Just for the reord before I do this this...I did like Psycho...))

Movies that were not scary but I still liked them.
1:The Chucky series((I liked them at the time I watched them...but now I think chucky sucks...))
2:The leprachaun
3:Hellsing (wasnt a movie...but was supposed to be horror...loved it...seemed more like an action anime to me...))
4: Demon City Shinjuku
5:Bio-Hunter

Movies that werent scary and sucked
1:Halloween 3 ((I am suprised nobody mentioned this one...this one doesnt scare...AND it sucks beyond belief!!))
2:The Blair Witch Project
3:The ring
4:The Chucky Series ((Since I dont like it anymore...))
5:Resident evil
6:Nightmare on Elm Street series ((I hate to offend everyone...but I am sorry...This one...just....I dont know how to say this....It seemed to have a bit too much of the suckiness in my eyes.))
7:Final Destination 2 ((Nobody mentioned this one for some stupid reason...But lets face it.....IT SUCKED!!!...))
8:Jason X

Freddy Lover
The Freddy movies aren't very scary...They just make me melt in my seat...I love them so much... love

NiceGuynj
Almost all Sci-Fi Original movies like Raptor,Gargoyles,Frankenfish,Dark light. At least with horror movies even when they suck it's watchable rather then bad comedies which is just sad.

Shadow_King
Prince of darkness
The Fog
The Thing

Freddy Lover
You got that right

eggmayo
did you actually watch the movie?
cos if you did you would have noticed none of them had any guns at that stage.

BadKitty
I think the blair witch project and the ring were pretty unscary

Freddy Lover
bull crap! The ring was creepy...

AFireInside
Jeepers Creepers, The Exorcist, Blair Witch Project, Sleepwalkers, Nightmare on Elm Street Series, Valentine, Red Deagon, Silence of the Lambs

those are the only one's i can think of atm...there could be more, but i can't remember atm

botankus
Who resurrected this thread? This thread is pointless because no one will ever admit that a horror movie scared them. According to the posters here, all horror movies suck and are unscary (the correct spelling of scary, BTW).

If all you geniuses are so tough and have never been scared in your entire life, why do you even bother posting in the horror forum?

Dazzler619
The Blair Witch Project. It was a piece of crap!

MornGlory
13 Ghosts - was so gay

Darth_Big_Boy
Dead Alive ( I'm a a big fan BTW...just not scary )

Cinemaddiction
"The Gate", as much as I love it. I NEED THE DVD!
