The Omega

cheeky munkey
hehe. well said..........

come on guys... explain yourselves stick out tongue

Gullom
well, er.....um....I......yo guys BACK ME UP HERE WILL YA!

Syren
OK, first of all I'd like to congratulate The Omega for taking a stand against ridiculously immature men (or boys, to be a little more apt) everywhere.

Second, I would just like to point out that any guy storming in here demanding apologies for anything we say will be laughed at. Loudly.

And last but not least, can I also say I am extremely sorry that so many threads about women have been made. I believe I kicked it all off, started the craze, whatever you want to call it, all because I did this..........

http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=292194&highlight=Battle+of+the+sexes

big grin

kimahri03
im here what u wanna know then

kimahri03
im here to back u up come on throw what u can girls

Syren
According to Raz Jr, these are the best reasons for men's existence.......

"the drop in sales for urinals would cause economic crisis

many rich empires built on porn would fall

sports companies would also go down

there would be no stable economy at all"

Oh dear, it seems men really are necessary *sigh*

Syren
laughing

I'm just reading through the beginning of the Battle thread, some of the posts are classic!!!

laughing out loud

Linkalicious
1st of all...blah blah blah...shut it.

You women are more self centered than I thought was possible.

1 of your 3 example threads was created by a woman. Way to attack your own.

Another was created so men could get a better understanding of women. We even wanted females inputs on views and how they felt about things. If you have a problem with that, lets jump in Mr. Peabody's Way Back Machine to a time when women were beat down for speaking their mind and then we'll see how much you hate us for trying to "understand" you.

(Example: I read a thread where a girl said she let her friends wipe ball sweat on her face. ON HER FACE FOR CHRISTS SAKE. Sorry if NO MAN will EVER understand a woman that allows that.)

And Corran is...well...Corran. Obviously if you took that thread seriously...then you need to buy a sense of humor. I think they're on sale at Macy's or Robinson's may the day after Thanksgiving.

Do we think we think about sex more than women??? NO!!!

We KNOW we think about sex more than women. Hell I'm thinking about sex right now and I haven't even been up long enough for breakfast. As a male, it's the primary thought in our brain from the point of puberty onward. I think about sex probably more than any 3 females in here...and I'm not even the horny guy on KMC.

Menos puntos Ladies....Menos puntos! miffed

forumcrew
why would we want you to not think about it as often? i know some girls that are more horny then any guy i know but thats fine with me

The Omega

Linkalicious
Sorry i've been talking to Syren too much. You know Syren aka The female Jesse Jackson.

Ushgarak
Yeah, appreciated Omega... but Men DO think about sex more than women. Men are more sexualised than women. One look at the gay scene shows that- an entire world run by Man's sexual rules alone. Scary place.

In fact, women should be very glad they are not as enslaved to sexual instinct as man. This is not to say women cannot be very sexual creatures, as some very obviously are, but taking a look at things as a whole, men are in fact drastically more sexually orientated than women.

Baylin
I dont consider what women think about me or men in general.
To be honest I dont care!
I have a good woman and I dont recieve many complaints. If I do something wrong she tells me, so why should I bother trying to to understand what's going on in her head?

Raz Jr
it's true, do you know how many billions of dollars are invested in the above?

Raz Jr

Syren
laughing

I never thought one of these threads would be allowed to run past the introductory post in the GDF.

*is astonished*

big grin

Lan委Windu
Hell I was thinking about sex before puberty.

All good answers Link.

Raz Jr
no mods have noticed it yet ninja

.........yet

Lan委Windu
* Waits for it to be moved to OTF *

Fire
well lemme see
I can focus on more than one thing at a time, it is not that hard.
Some women can be as mysterious as some men, it's the person that matters not the gender
I know storm thinks about sex as often as I do

yerssot
I do multiple things at a time actually, though they do tend to go wrong big grin

Linkalicious
yeah it's like...just because we don't drive, talk on a cell phone, and put on make-up...while b!tching at our significant other....apparently we don't multi-task

Lan委Windu
laughing out loud

I know someone who can't talk/walk/and chew gum at the same time...it's funny.

yerssot
yourself? stick out tongue

Lan委Windu
Nope...it's a..................girl.

pipschick
Oh at last..we can finally see into the minds of Men! Or can we?
Come on guys..tell us what your actually made of and what your actually thinking about during the day....we wish to know all wink

yerssot
blonde I take stick out tongue

Lan委Windu
We are a carbon based life form and we think thoughts. smile

Gullom
syren nice sexy Rogger rabbit sig you got there....okay back to the topic...

the way I see it, men and women when they talk about this matter, all I see is show and blah blah blah...

The fact is you girls know that you can't live without men....

aonther important fact we guys can't stand living with out women...

Therefore, men and women are complete each other in life, whether at home work or any field you see...

um....may I have thier numbers please evil face

Evy_O
-No, they can focus on multiple things, depending on the guy of course.
-It's VERY obvious why guys think girls are mysterious; the same why WE think they are complicated too messed Why does everyone keep debating about it, it has to do with natural sex differences, and it will never ever change confused
-No, women think of sex as much as men stick out tongue They just tend to mess up lust with love -guys don't do that mistake (well, IMO it's a mistake, for someone else it might not smile )
So... bottomline, I never ever agreed with the part saying "men think of sex more"... Yes, they can't control it, yes they don't get emotional over it, BUT- they don't think of it more than we do big grin

(though it DOES depend on the person him/herself again erm )

Ushgarak
No.. have to disagree very strongly there Evy... men do think about it a lot more.

Evy_O
Well I'll disagree you back stick out tongue You can't even be sure how much women think about it, as we can't be sure how much men do messed

Raz Jr
look, while you're multi-tasking, we're thinking of sex.... we prioritize smile

Ushgarak
But behaviour is observable, and can be discussed and compared, and the experience of people over time points to men being the dominant thinkers in this area being the way things are.

Like I say, one look at the gay scene should be enough to prove that to anyone. A purely man's world brings a VERY different perspective on things.

Raz Jr
as i said for women, this also applies to men:

out of 6 billion people in the world, you cannot break them into 2 groups based on gender, with about 3 billion people being similiar because they are male. we are all different yes

Evy_O
^ agreed yes

so what, it's called multi-tasking, why not include thinking of sex too stick out tongue

pipschick
No...Brunette..or dyed red at the moment big grin

Raz Jr
alrite, a woman does 3 things at once (for example) : drives her car, does some make-up stuff and talks on her mobile (cell) phone.

wheras a man thinks of sex, thinks of sex and thinks of sex.... sort of paying attention to driving his car yes

we can do just as many jobs as you, just somethings require double the thinking power (such as: thinking of sex) stick out tongue

Line
Thinking of sex sure is more complicated than I thought blink Seems like you guys have practically made it into an art!

Evy_O
you're just generalising stick out tongue
well, I'll give you that: all guys (with a few or none exceptions of course) think of sex all the time, whilst not all women... *sigh* you guys are so stubborn sometimes yes

Baylin
Well we dont have many thoughts so we may as well think about something we either enjoy immensely yes or we cant get but wish we could sad

Ushgarak
Heh...

It's not exactly a boon to men, Evy. You shouldn't want to be competing!

Evy_O
I don't ninja But I really don't like it when some girls say "all he thinks about is sex blah blah blah..."

Gullom
I agree too....

do you believe in love in first sight?

Evy_O
I don't messed

Baylin
I believe that I can love the look of someone at first sight...

Gullom
same here it takes me 6 months till I think of kissing a girl......

Ushgarak
Except for you and I, eh, Evy?

Evy_O
Yeah, that's the only exception wink

Seriously now, I think that, to love someone, you need to get to know him/her, that's not something that can be developed at first sight erm

Ushgarak
(flies to Greece to get to know Evy)

Evy_O
you can even fly? eek!

Ushgarak
Yeah, great aren't I?

Evy_O
impressive yes

Ushgarak
(spies on Evy in shower from high up position)

Now, guess what I was thinking about...

Gullom
when a maaaaaan loves a woman...

Evy_O
Ush!!!! laughing out loud laughing out loud
That you're afraid of heights? big grin

Ushgarak
I wouldn't be if I could fly!

Evy_O
then it's nice that you actually can't eek!
you'd misuse the power yes

Ushgarak
Oooh, it would feel pretty appropriately used to me...

Lan委Windu
Hehe...all men would spy on women like that, even if we aren't pigs, we'd do it.

Julie
Lance!.....*sigh* men...

BackFire
Women concentrate on several things at once and end up dead. (trying to drive, talk on the cell phone and put on make up all at once, bravo, you're a walking disaster waiting to happen) Men can do the same, but we choose to concentrate on one or two things and do those things well.

Also, I think men think about sex way more then women.

Linkalicious
I wouldn't do it, but i'd remind them that I could...just to keep them on their toes.

The Omega

Korri
Why are men so scared of comitment? blink

Line
It does seem as if we're automatically expected to team up against the other sex. Through history war metaphors have been used in art to describe love and the relation between the two sexes as though we're constantly in some kind of strange gender battle.

Ushgarak
Omega- nope- well, whilst I accept the thruist of what you say is true, even if women were totally 100% culturally liberated sexually, men would still be far more sexually obsessed.

There is a small essay by Stephen Fry about this that I might find and type up, to better make my point...

Dave123

Syren
Omega? You don't know who I am???

jawdrop

Well!! Pfffffft........ diva

yerssot
the only time I "fight" against the other sex is when they're all for equal rights but scream muder when they have to actually do something

(and with they, I do NOT mean every single girl or women! just a selected few)

tassie
Why do guys flirt so much?? I don't get it blink I've tried figuring out what goes on in your heads, but it's just so damn complicated...

I mean, do they like ONE girl at a time and flirt with all? Or do they just like them all?? messed

And if you talk to a girl alot, and you're both good friends, but you have a crush on someone else, how would you feel if that girl you had a crush on, told you that the girl who was your friend, liked you?
Would you start liking back the girl who's your friend?? Or would you continue liking the girl you had a crush on, even though she's already taken??

there, that's all i need to know for now ^^ big grin

~Angel~
tassie,

there's no easy answer to that question. You can't make something be what it's not. If a guy likes a girl, it depends on how much he likes her. No one can make someone love them simply by confessing their feelings for him/her.

In answer to your question, it depends on how much he likes the girl. If he has his heart "set" on her, chances are, he won't give up until she "kicks him to the curb."

It sux, doesn't it...

tassie
yeah, it does

but if he doesnt have his heart "set" on her... he jusst likes her, even though she's taken

But usually when you find out someone llikes you, you kinda have a tendency to start really liking them back, dont you? confused

Tptmanno1
Ush Be pimpin!

yerssot
guys flirt cause they want sex, easy as that.
Guy is nice to you? he wants you. (some friends quote pops to mind but I can't clearly remember it)
but than again, some guys are nice to girls cause they want to be nice.
there's also a difference between liking and loving, guys like dozens of girls and love one and from time to time unfortantly more.

(I'm not talking about the entire male population mind you)

The Omega

yerssot
the only reason why this "battle" goes on is cause both sides are either stubborn to stop it, or when one does the other still continues, stupid hormones I guesswink

and it's kinda stupid if a girl says "guys think umpteen times about sex" or a guy saying the same about a girl, as long as you can't transfer into someone, you can't make such comments even if you continue to go on about observing and crap

personally, I think I do "light" flirting a lot, but that includes being nice to them and such, so nothing really ment or special

Syren
no

Actually Omega, no, you probably shouldn't.

But you do now wink

speiderman
I don't speak for all guys out there but I like being in a comitted relationship with a person who I can trust and love. I think having a special person out there that you can rely on and having them rely on you is important. I personally would rather give my attention to that one girl out there that is right for me. big grin

yerssot
I follow speiderman on that

dave123

tassie
okay, if the guy likes the other girl still, ((and yeah, she's still taken by someone else)) why does he keep teasing and talking to the girl who's his friend, and misleading her like that... could he possibly be debating with himself??

oh, and he doesn't know that the girl, who's his friend, knows that he likes the other girl instead..

Xena
hehe interesting topic. I tend to think that it comes down to the male's confidence and trust. But mosty during sex. If the male is confident about himself he would't put barriers in relationships. To be open with your partner is very important. And thats what males need to realize that communication is very essential in a love relationship.

smile

Line
Quite true. I think it's a way of making sure the other part knows you're either male or female. Like when we were kids and pulled eachother's hair ( that would be the boys) and kicked eachother's shins. A way of getting attention. By bugging the other part about their gender, we get attention and makes sure he/she knows we're of the opposite sex. A sort of maoschistic flirt, testing each others strengths, finding the fittest specimen of the opposit sex, so fort so forth wink

yerssot
someone agrees with me? blink

Line
If it's to hard for you to accept, I can pretend to disagree? As a friendly gesture?

yerssot
that would be ace, I don't think anyone ever agreed with me on something blink

Line
Public anouncement: I have never agreed with this man. Mr Yerssot.

yerssot
marvelous, my record still stands big grin

Line
Any time.
I could spread some nasty romours about you if you like? shifty

yerssot
if it's about me being mean, please go ahead big grin

Line
Of course it's about you being mean!!! Otherwise, people'd think I'd be lying wink

yerssot
ah, you're way ahead of me I see big grin

it would be great, and don't spare the nastyness

Line
Anything in particular you want me to mention?

yerssot
yeah, highlight the parts of me being stubborn and annoying please happy

TheProgramSmith
From what I hear, that would be everything

yerssot
no, there's also sympathywhore stick out tongue

TheProgramSmith
laughing

Line
laughing out loud I'll get to it, then ... Maybe I should start a new thread??

yerssot
I don't deserve that much credit ... yet shifty

Line
I'll be more subtle then.

yerssot
I'm very confident in it

Syren
eek!

A thread in the GDF went off topic and it was yerssot's fault??

I'm so happy! *cries*

yerssot
don't push it

kimahri03
whats going on

TheProgramSmith
What isn't going on? yes

yerssot
generally bad mouthing men big grin

Syren
Nonono.......

I didn't mean it like that, I swear, sorry cry

Line
Well, it served a good purpose wink

Syren
To anyone who thinks I am rude, or insulting them in any way, I would like to point out that I've had two formal warnings for allowing myself to say a few things that were perhaps a little out of line.

This, to me, is more than enough incentive to watch what I say to certain people in future. I'm extremely upset that any of you take anything I say to heart, I'm rarely serious, and when I am, it's often relevant to the subject in hand, rather than directed straight at another member.

Most of the members here that know me, even a little, realised a long time ago that I'm a fun-loving person who perhaps says silly things but always has the best intentions.

I'm not going to say sorry, because all of my previous apologies have fallen on deaf ears. It was tolerable when it was only the member who was brushing me off, but I am now getting formal requests that I keep my mouth shut. As far as I am concerned, I truly believe in freedom of speech, but this once I guess there's no alternative. Once again, I've been asked to stay quiet, or stay out. And I'd rather be here and avoid confrontation than not be here at all.

The whole reason I'm posting this here is because I think it's a serious matter. If I were to post it in the OTF love it would probably be read by about three members, discussed for 5 minutes and then forgotten. That much about the OTF, I do appreciate!!

Rant over I suppose, and if anyone can explain to me the reason for us having to be so pretentious and blatantly false all the time, I'd love to hear it. I cannot stand it when people act all lovely to my face, and then b!tch behind my back. I'd much rather they laid their cards down, and gave me the chance to retaliate. I'm not a fighting person, but like I said, freedom of speech should be seen as one of our qualities, not something that should be hushed.

I may have come across as loud, rude and arrogant, but at least I can honestly say that I'm not a two faced hypocrite. That, I feel, gives me reason to be proud.

Sorry for any offence caused, but surely I deserve the opportunity to vent a little frustration. And, when deciding whether to hang me, please take into consideration the fact that I mentioned no names, and directed no comments to anyone.

Baylin
Syren! I do think that you are rude and insulting! but thats why I love you! love

Syren
embarrasment

Thankyou, but I doubt it'll be taken so lightly by others. I haven't written a novel to start a fight, but I needed to make a point. And I think I was perfectly polite.

And come on, it's not as if I can't write raver

Line
Didn't mean to push you into any explanations, Syren. I like you and have never had any problems with any of your comments, though of course I'll have to admit, I've only heard a few.

Syren
It wasn't for you Line, sorry mate.

It was just one of my general ravings stick out tongue

Baylin
I have bad habit of respecting people like yourself - you tell it how you see it! Which, may be a tad brutal sometimes but its usually honest.

I'll take an honest slagging off than a false compliment anyday!

Line
All right, then- always good with a raving to get it off one's chest! Repression can get nasty.

Syren
Aaw, thanks Baylin, I'm glad you appreciate the fact that I cannot keep my gob shut. I'm gonna end up being banned sad

Syren
Yeah, but unfortunately so can confrontation.......

That's why KMC has this idea of repression being the best policy. It's probably right.

Baylin
Well in real life I've got a 2 foot mouth - that is one that fits in both my feet at the same time. Its not that I can be tactless its just, well, I dont always pull my punches when I'm raving laughing out loud

Syren
I try my hardest to say what I need to in the most respectful way.

It's so hard!!!

mad

The Omega
Can anyone remember the last post here that was on topic? What does a big apology have to do with the topic at hand???? roll eyes (sarcastic)

shaber
I don't know whether this is a sign of strength or not - but sometimes you have to get busy living; or get busy dying sad

yerssot
you're right TO...to heat things up: men rule cool wink

BackFire
Both genders suck balls. Well, I guess girls do that a bit more, but both genders are crappy.

The Omega

Evy_O
Cause each gender likes to blame the other messed

Line
And by doing so, letting them know they're of the opposite sex. As I said earlier on in this thread, I believe it's a strange kind of flirt and a way to test each other's strengths and weknesses.

yerssot
I agree with Line (yay, go me) ... it's to check how far some will go and such

I was kidding embarrasment
so, who liked Tatcher? big grin wink

The Omega
Yessot> I know you were (kidding that is). However your statement was grounds for much humour for me - hence the reply.

But people of the same gender also has strength and weaknesses. Why do we not test them in the same manner?
Someone mentioned hormones. Maybe it's really simple. I can get to know some guy, and it's all fine, until my mind/body decides to get attracted to or fall in love with said guy. Without asking ME that is! smile
Now suddenly things are very complicated.
That never happens with people of the same gender (exceptions of course exist, just follow the general idea).
When I'm with girls/women I'm safe from those complications. When I'm in mixed or male company I can never know when lightening will strike.
Is it then - ultimately - a defence mechanism? wink

yerssot
girl, you really know how to suck the pleasure out of it stick out tongue

oh, and I believe I mentioned it once, though I probably stole it from someone else here roll eyes (sarcastic)

Line
Yes, we all have strengths and weaknesses, but as we're (rarely) looking for a partner from our own sex, we don't need to test them in this way. We test them in a less gender-orientated way.

I agree it might be a defence mechanism. But still a gender-related and thus a possibly semi-flirtatious one.

yerssot
we just test people of the same sex in a different way:

as kids in example, the (male) kids wrestle with eachother

kimahri03
well female kids play dolls

The Omega
Kimahri03> A generalisation again. I never played with dolls, I thought they were boring smile

Line
Really? I beat mine up, wasn't boring at all stick out tongue

kimahri03
lol i used to play with action men

Evy_O
ooooh, I used to cut off their hair and clothes and then make them soldiers and play war with my bro stick out tongue

yerssot
there goes my idea of little girls playing with dolls messed

Evy_O
technically it was still 'playing with dolls' big grin

yerssot
like a real president stick out tongue

Evy_O
something like that, yes eek!

yerssot
how many went MIA?

Evy_O
MIA? blink

yerssot
Missing In Action

Evy_O
ahh, I stopped counting stick out tongue

yerssot
cause at that age you couldn't?

Evy_O
laughing out loud laughing out loud I was a brilliant child stick out tongue But we're getting off topic here embarrasment

yerssot
again? *sighs*

ok... so... who of the men played with dolls?

The Omega
