Apologies are for marital spats and schoolyard fights.

Since when did the apology become so important in politics? Terrorists fly planes into a US building, and Bush is supposed to apologize. Some unbalanced weirdos mistreat Iraqi prisoners, Rumsfeld is supposed to apologize. What good is that gonna do? Demand action, you stupid morons, not false words recorded for posterity so you and your cronies can laugh at how you embarassed your political enemy!

What the hell is wrong with these people? They have so much power and all they can do with it is demand apologies to further their political parties and expand their egos?

Why? They hold the worlds power in their hands, and all they do is gossip about each other, twist each others words, and demand apologies.

I have very little faith left in the upper echelon of the planet.

You should edit that. Politics aren't allowed here at KMC.

lil bitchiness
Indeed. Political discussions are forbiden im afraid.

No Religion & Politics
We do not allow the discussion of religion and politics. Discussion on these topics, from past experience, almost always ends in bad blood between members. For this reason it has been decided that a movie forum is not the best place for talk on these subjects.

G.P
There used to be a time when dignity was important to politicians and they used to resign when something under their responsability had gone wrong. erm

No Politics no

Gregory
Number of U.S. Presidents who resigned because something under their responsability went wrong: 1, and a pretty recent one at that. Somehow, I don't think that all the presidents before Nixon never screwed up.

It might not be allowed, but it IS a good point. Apologies are a load of BS when it comes to politics.

Actually Jefferson did some screwing around his plantantions. J/K

Tex
