If you look in the lower right hand corner of this pic, posted by dragon x, you can see another lightsaber laying behind Anakin. This saber is not Obi Wans Ep 3,4 or Anakins/Lukes 3,4,5. So what saber is it? Could Anakin have taken it from a jedi he killed? Does this mean he fights at some point with two lightsabers? The color scheme on the hilt looks like it may be Mace Windu's but Im not sure on that. And I'm pretty sure it is not Vaders so.... Any Thoughts?

My guess would be that Anakin dropped his saber at that moment and Obi-Wan is going in for the slice, but the Saber does look different. Maybe it's another blue one Anakin picks up in the moive somehow.

I don't think he does in that pic. Looks like the saber on the walkway may have been dropped by Anakin after Obi-Wan cuts off one of his arms or something. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

It looks similar enough to Obi-wan's that it might be his. Maybe they both dropped their sabers and Anakin picked up Obi-wan's?

Yeah VG it does look like it could be Obi Wans, maybe there will be a time when somehow they end up with each others lightsabers.
I think it would be kinda cool if the lightsaber he gave to Luke was acctually the one he used to slice up Anakin.

Actually, that would be awesome. PLus it explains the change from 3-4 in Obi-wan's saber.

The change in Obi Wans lightsaber from 3-4 are very small and are explained in Insider Magazine as just old Ben tinkering with it over the years.
But you are definately right that is Obi Wans saber and he has a saber in his hand and I dont see Anakin with one which really makes me think your right that at some point they will weild each others sabers.

Well you have to remember that somehow in Episode 4 Ben has Anakin's saber, I wouldn't think anaking had his saber when falling into the pit, my guess it Ben's saber remains on the ground as he uses Anakin's Saber to deliver the final blow

well rick macculm said that in episode3 that anakin was going to have things come off in the starwars insider magazine so if he dropped his lightsaber maybe he had hand cut off.

i think i know what happens.


obi1 makes anakin drop the saber and go's for a cheap shot with his saber. this can make anakin fall into the lava. then obiwan see's anakins saber picks it up and leaves.

Probably Anakin loses his lightsaber,then he fights with Dooku's lightsaber.

i think his arm might have been cut off again.
