Raven's father is Trigun the Terrible... a demon... he raped her mother who lived on a world called Azarath, a world of epaths and mages who taught her to use meditation to surpress her emotions that invoke her temper.... read into it if you want to know more about her future...

because the Teen Titans cartoon is done in a anime-ish style. at least, i think thats the reason...

Yeah, that is the reason. Yet, TS is done in Anime-ish style but it is still american.
