heres the deal. i have astigmatism in my eyes and am forced to wear glasses. i have noticed that my sense of hearing and smell are stronger than most other people have. anyone here believe that if one of your senses is weak, then one or more of the others are enhanced?

a lot of the time i hear something or smell something that others do not.

yeah, i have really bad eye sight and i can hear things that the rest of my family can't

that sounded weird

like, if the washing machine is on and its loud, i can hear my mom cell ring but my mom and my sister cant

my friend kristine has no sense of taste, but her eyesight is like 20/10.

is that good?

20/20 is perfect vision. 20/10 is like a little better than that.

i have like 20/50 vision i think

i beleive that..
unfortunately for me i have crappy eyesight, occasionaly crap hearing
and im not too sure about smell or taste, i think theyre average
But if you feel an advantage thats cool, kinda like compensation

like ... blind people have an extremely well develloped hearing and ...damn.. something else too but forgot...

i always know what my father is thinking

i can predict when i am gonna fart next.

my mom always knows what im thinking, cause she tells me the answer to my question before i ask it

my eyesight is bad from an injury, and i ahve 2 wear glasses, but for some reason after that i could hear better and i moved faster, but my eharing stayd the same and stuff... it was wierd..

what about vomit and so...can you predict?

i have progressive loss of hearing, but no other senses are evolved

I have poor vision, poor hearing and my sense of smell/taste is pretty crap - but I'm psychic so it doesnt matter...

that happens to animals too

I've known dogs that were totally blind but could still get around and pretty much be normal dogs

i see dead people.

But thats only because they dont know how to be anything else...

I have an astigmatism in my right eye, but only my sense of smell is great...my hearing is selective , I only hear what I want to hear.

Thats the best kind of hearing!

yes, it is more or less proven that your other senses compensate for a lost or damaged sense. IE Blind people having exceptional hearing because they have to have it to survive, and partly because when you can see well, you rely on your sight, but when you lose that, you have to rely on something else. So the hearing comes into play.
