Seriously, please tell me which movie I should go see. They both start within the next hour, so I need to know quick. Please help!

Good enough. I've decided to go see TROY.

Then see Van Helsing.

Well, how do you know that the iliad was based on reality?? A story with loads of gods interfering all the time? Do you believe that the parts in the illiad about the gods was historically accurate??

I believe Jedi means that the movie is not very accurate to the Iliad. Or perhaps he really just doesn't believe it. The movie wasn't accurate to it though, that's for sure.

My vote goes for Van Helsing.

So, I saw TROY, and I loved every minute of it. It was way better than I thought and I was very impressed with Eric Bana and Brad Pitt's performances. I can't really think of anything I didn't like about it. It could have been way cheesier, but I think they managed to do a great job. Two thumbs up as far as I'm concerned, but I still want to see Van Helsing and Shrek 2 for sure!

I'm going to definetly see Shrek 2. If I can get into Troy, I'll see it at the local discount theater when it gets there in a few months.. it's R and I don't want to put forth any more effort than I need to in order to see it, so I'll wait.

What i was refering to was the fact that they didn't even try to stay true to the original with Troy...At least with Van Helsing it was a new plot...well, sorta.

...as for the 'gods', yes, i do believe it was accurate, or as accurate as people seeing 'gods' would be...but i don't think they were gods...but that is neither here nor there. GO SEE VAN HELSING!
