i hate it when a game rocks hard all the way through, but then the final mission or level sucks and totally ruins the game. a good example is enter the matrix.

I hate boring soundtracks Marvel vs Capcom 2 could have been soooo much better if it sounded like Guilty Gear XX

I hate games that are too repetetive, and have little or no replay value

I hate the fact that they are so expensive...

when the final mission sux, it pisses me right off.

The lack of story in a game really pisses me off. The repetition pisses me off, Yeah the anti climatic endings piss me off, It is basically just lack of story and emotion, with redundant gameplay.

I'll use examples from games to prove my point...

but seemingly pointless missions or levels in games really piss me off; examples, in the first Devil May Cry, there's one mission which is "Get to the Cabin of the Ghost Ship". Problem is, there's no apparent reason WHY you'd want to do that. Also, in Jak 2, there are a few missions where you're racing a little hover car and trying to get in first place. The reason is bogus the winner of the "elite" race gets to tour the palace, just some stupid ass excuse to make you race. And if you're like me, you crash a lot.

No, i like it too, it wasnt "cashing in" on the Matrix name, it was a part of the movie trilogy, notice all those movie cut scenes. Although, it doesnt exactly have tons of replay value after you beat it 6 times....the sword cheat is awesome though.

well i beat it like 10 times i jus play around on like the Skyscrpaer thing and try to see how many glitches i can find and crap
i once knocked 64 smiths off the edges in Skyscrpaer level

yeah spearhead hit the nail on the head, i hate that shit when in games your forced to do shit that has no logic behind it. missions when you have to do something that you know your character wouldnt do, but oh god damn well

I liked the halo ending mission, so not all endings sucks. But most of them do as you said RJ. But the expense and the idea of 13 sequels of the same game make me made... they just keep milking some games for all their worth.

well i hate the way you cant connect with the games nowa days i mean i woukld always find some way to connect with the old games and it also make it more fun but nowadays you dont get to know the characters as much as you just play the game

Short games really pisses me off! Lack of story really pisses me off too.

KoToR was a great game the ENTIRE way through, but the ending cinemas sucked(yes, both.). it really pissed me off.

Most games focus too much realism and graphics...

Make them fun! I would much rather play SNES then PS2 or X-BoX. MK2, you cannot beat it for fun level. Maximum Carnage... the unbeatable game. NHL 94, best hockey game ever IMO.

No real plot or back story. Sacrificing gameplay for graphics. Using foul language and violence to cover up repetitive running around. Crap soundtracks. And Games that can be completed within one day. I hate them all

Video game makers focus too much on graphics now adays. Sunset Riders and Contra 3...both side scrollers, both use 16 bits of graphics...both stomp 95% of the games produced today.

What pisses me off most today about video games is their prices. I mean why charge 49.99 for a simple game that you'll beat in a day or two, unless you get FF games, then a week, tops. Charge less, please!!!!

escort missions are pure stupidity, especially when someone you're escorting has no weapons. IF YOU'RE GOING INTO HOSTILE TERRITORY, BRING A WEAPON

If the AI isn't good enough to:

a) NOT p*** the player off by going: "I think I'll get stuck on these steps and run around aimlessly like a broken record until the player pushes me, thats right PUSHES me back on track, therefore shattering any perception of this game being realistic"

and

b) NOT p*** the player off by going: "I think I'll stand in between your gun and what you are shooting, I'll be safe there"

.......then there's no need for escort missons at all. Good AI? AI can defend themselves? Then escort missions can be brilliant - but any other way, they are a nightmare.

Also, speaking of escort-type misisons - who hates it in Driving games like Driver and GTA where you've gotta tail somebody (without getting too close or too far behind)? Who the hell wants to play those missions?

like when you had to escort sherry in RE2? or when you had to escort emma in MGS2?

DUDE i still have Sunset Riders! it took me FOREVER to beat! truly a great game. games nowadays really are too easy to get through. Vectorman was also a great game. Earthworm Jim is in the same club(still havent beaten it, but i only play my Genesis like once every summer), and classic Sonic games were f*ckin awesome.

Another thing, why don't you try to scale down how many buttons there are for combos in sports games so it's not so damn complicated. I tryed football on the PS1 awhile back, but I lost focus real fast (that is EXTREMELY HARD for me to do when it comes to video games) and lost horribly. I got fed up and shattered the disc.

Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness. We only bought it 'cos we loved all the other Tomb Raiders but it sucked so much ass!

Also, too many games are "Hollywood" now.

Too easy, too instant, too short.

TR:AOD isn't easy, instant or short.
It's slow, boring, pointless, full of glitches.

Everything is about Graphics.Games these days lack story TERRIBLY compared to games in the 90s'.

I rather play a game that had a powerful story rather than good graphics.Hell i could care less what it looks like!

Yeah, ff7 was so much better than 10 or 10-2. My sister and friend refuse to argue about it though.

I hate games that they know they are to complicated to play and when you buy it the first level is so bloody hard you just want to kick the person's a$$ that made it.

I hate Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, b/c the single player mode sucks! Of course its my own fault i should've done more research and just waited until Tales of Symphonia comes out. And i should've gotten Skies of Arcadia, which i was told was great, and the graphics were only sub-par, but its the best classic RPG on the Gamecube, but I'm playing Resident Evil: Zero right now, which is decent.

Todays video games hype themselves up so hard, they fall flat on thier face. Truely disgusts me...

Note to developers : Thinking your games out before creating them helps...alot....

when you have to be somewhere to save. like in GTA when you have a hideout you have to save at. i always just get pissed when the cops get me, and turn off the game. then i realize that i jsut finished half the game and have to start over. jsut wait, i have plenty of things i hate, i just have to think of them all first! lol

I like how more and more games are having voice-actors, but sometimes I wish they'd choose their voice actors more carefully or not have the voice actor at all. For example, Tidus from FFX was really annoying.. they should have allowed the option of having the japanese voices in the american version. One thing I noticed about square's games these days is they're more linear. I prefer having the whole world to explore as I please, using a ship to sail there, etc, rather than just pointing to a place and transporting myself automatically like in kingdom hearts or ffX.

I hate the fact that game developpers like EA creat such realistic games.....but they forget one thing....BLOOD!!!!! Every damn time,when i want to shoot my ally in Medal of Honor...you can't!! It's not only them,but there are a lot of corporations that just don't want blood in their games. And don't give me crap like "think of the children...". Yeah that pisses me off.

When they tell you about really good looking games give you an ass load of information on how beatifull the game looks then at the end it says

By the way this game wont be coming out for another two years

Thing is, with games like Ninja Gaiden, the difficulty makes the damn game into a chore. I don't think I ever had a single moment of enjoyment from that game. I was thrilled at times, and on the edge of my seat through most of it, but as far as enjoyment goes? Nope. None. Zippo.

Anybody played Pro Evolution Soccer (1, 2 or 3 - in USA and Jap its called Winning Eleven) on PS2? Now that's a game thats rock solid, yet fun. You are on the edge of your seat, in intense gameplay, especially if it's with friends. But it's FUN. It's never a chore playing this game.

What I'm getting at, is that games like Pro Evolution Soccer can be as hardcore as they come, but never resort to sapping all fun from the game.

Games should be about enjoying yourselves, with a nice long story to get your teeth into, and gameplay you will want to replay again and again.

Also, games like Spider-Man 2 - that offer NO secrets at all, are annoying. I wouldn't mind but they have so many things to collect - you'd think there'd be a reward for doing it. Heck just a Shocker or Black Cat skin would have done.

i'll tell ya what pisses me off about video games...last week i found out that there makin a daredevil game based off the comics and it looked pretty sweet..it was due out in a couple of months....this week i found out they cancelled it......MOTHER ****ERS!!!!!!!

Same here, like any video games so far that have been based off of the LOTR trilogy. The first game sucked big time and the TTT and RTOK were ok games but they felt like the exact same game. Enter the Matrix is not as bad as alot of people are making it out to be, it was ok, it could have been a lot better though. At least we got some cool cutscenes in the game. Hopefully The Matrix Online will be better because it looks really good.
