Myth
I have discovered that I have EXCELLENT will power. There is 2 things I have used to prove to myself that this is true.
1. I was a compulsive movie buyer but I have run pretty low on cash. I would buy movies if they were either a movie that I really want, or even if they were pretty good movies but a good deal. But even then, the good deals really added up. I have been really good at only buying the movies that I REALLY want and I wait till they cheaper before getting them. Good Myth.
2. This one is more impressive to me. I have always been a sucker for junk food. I used to eat like 5 meals a day (not huge) plus I snacked all day. I was only about 148lb but I ate more than all my friends, including my 6'5" 255lb and 330lb football friends. Well, now I'm on tons of meds for my kidney disease and I was told that one of the side-effects would be weight gain. Now, I was on this same medication for asthma when I was younger and I gained 50lb in 3 months. I'm on twice that dosage now so I really have to watch my diet and exercise. My new diet is, when I get hungry, I excercise. Probably not the healthiest thing but, now I'm eating 2 meals a day and when I snack, its usually fruit rather than gigantic milkshakes. So far, I have lost 8 pounds rather than gaining weight. I don't really want to lose weight, but its better than gaining it I guess.
