I was avid comic book fan thats where I found Alex.

Alex Ross is brilliant! he has paved a way for comic book art to be taken to to a new hight of the time when comics was just fun stories and decent pictures.he made pictures that gave characters depth and a sense they really exist!

I first saw alex's water colors and pencil drawing when I got a copy of Astro city and I was in awe. then came the Marvels and I was hooked,I'd pick up any thing with his name attached...He does the artwork on titles such as 'Batman', 'X-men' and 'Hellraiser'

he was picked for work on the movies Spawn,Spiderman and Unbreakable

Holy crap. I've always loved Alex Ross, but never got to see most of his Marvel work. Just know his stuff from Kingdom Come. Alex may be the BEST comic book painter out there, but Greg Horn is creeping up right behind him...you gotta check out his stuff.

I have seen some of his work cuase I'm a x-men fan..I love it!! also check out Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell they have some stuff thats really mind blowing!

boris I think seems inspired by frank frazetta..some of his work looks just like his!

Wasn't there a cartoon based on Battle of the PLanets? I seem to remember 4 guys and a girl dressed up in bird outfits, exactly how he painted them. even the helmets with the beak-like thingy in front were the same

yes! it is a really old Japanese anime..I loved it and alex ross is doing the comic after all this time..I am so pleased!

now that i think of it, battle of the planets was out way before even robo tech..do you remeber that anime?

That particular Anime has some name changes in the US. It is also known as G-Force. It dates back to the 70's, and Robotech started in 1985. Great TV series

I didn't know that Ross did a comic book adaption. It looks very cool!

I tried to buy some drawings in the official A. Ross's webpage, without result: I sent a mail in order to do it, but all I got by answer was nothing at all.
Has anyone tried? Does anyone what to do?
