What Fuedal Japanese Weapon Would You Use?

-Katana
-Naganata - pole with sword attached
-Yari - spear
-Bow - bow and arrow
-wakashi - short sword
-tanto -dagger like short sword
-No Dachi - (dai katana large version of katana)
-crossbow

(There are ninja weapons like:
_throwing daggers
_iron rods that you throw into throats and eyes (can't remember the name
_Hook that disarms enemies yet lets stick to field army weaopns)

daisho, aka katana & wakazashi

i forgot what they're called...but they're swords, with wavy blades, and supposedly if they're used correctly, they cause incurable wounds.

nah...these are swords that zig-zag back and forth in curves, pretty cool looking...the Soul Reaver is based off them, I know that

Kuris are curved but those are indonesian.
zig zag blades are the specialized used by assasins.

wakazashi(short sword) or tanto(dagger) for raven

Tanto or wazaskhi -- long daggers basically

is the flamberge japanese? If it is, then yes...or something along those lines.

I think I will go with snipers sugestion because they would be easy to run and jump and sneak around with...see if I want a weapon it has to be small so I can sneak up on my enemy

ok i'm shocked and appalled that this weapon wasn't mentioned because it's the one weapon i'd use over the no dachi and that's the Kusari Gama .... the chain w/ a lead wieght on one end and the kama on the other

nah, it's cool because the weapon they are making instead of the OICW looks exactly like the MA-5B from Halo

but i liked the idea of exploding rounds to hit places that can't be reached like sandbag walls

no, most often it was a full dai-sho and a bow ... full dai-sho being Katana, Wakazashi, and Tanto .... the Katana would be used on it's own , the Wakazashi and Tanto together

i wouldnt want the wakazashi because those are too small for me and holding both would be way too much weight for my arms ...but my soke has taught me that they also use katana and tanto together...

the wakazashi and tanto are for in doors

you do realize the Tanto is the smallest of the blades yes?

and they are also carried out into the battlefield...

and yes i do realize that they are small...they are basiclly a dagger...and those are very easy to use...

1) i changed my mind...everyday my katana seems to be getting heavier so im gonna go with my dai-sho of wakazashi and tanto...
2) raven can we please stop this? i think the only way any of us are going to learn is by providing evidence(preferrably via website link)
