Who is your favourite character in the Tolkien series of books?

i agree but iam going to reply anyway, my favorite character is legolas.

since the time that I have joined I have voted in 3 of these polls,

Tulkas is one of my favourite, and favourite Vala
Maedhros is my favourite son of feanor
Turgon is another of my almighty fav's
Beren is my favourite man.....what a legend,
Boromir of course

But as usual the 2 best characters in his books for me is Thorondor & Gwaihir

i like Bombadil

meh, he didnt make such an impact on me......found it weird why he just didnt bloody escort the company hobbits to the end of the forrest in the first place

that's because his power lessens when goes further from his house upon the hill with the little babbling brook that runs parallel to it...and the nice shady elm tree with the swing...but i digress

my favorite is the father to Maedhros
my second is the creator of the 3 jewels
my third is the elf who sarted the kin-slaying...

any one with an evil steak gets my vote ...

@feanor, Larry is the moth, spikey and squishy (i think) was a driver of the mamikul and the elf who spoke to arwen after the vision of her child "my lady arwen, we must not delay"

Lol seriously though my favourite characters are the hobbits
not for the shallow reason that they are hot, and wtaching the DVD in bed is life hidden pleasure.

But for the fact, that in the books* when they first start off. they are the innocent travellers, they are after all, only going to bree.
but during the story the hobbits grow, not litterally of course, excpept merry and pippin , and they mature in a way. they lose their innocence *looks at shadowy* and become in a sense...the real heroes, i believe they resemble something much more than an adorable 3 foot tall little hairy man, the hobbits are the reluctant heroes of the story, peace loving creatures who 'never do anything out of the ordinary' until their spirits are kindled.
Showing that everybody should fight for what they believe in, and a better world

although I would have liked to of read more about Landroval, all we get to know is that he picked up smelly sam on ruins of the doom

who's this Thauron? It sounds like Tauron, but that's a name for Orome, a vala. And Gorgor means horror, or dread. Could it be Gorthaur? That's Sindarin verson of it meaning terrible dread
