Spawnie
I just collect McFarlene Toys, if they don't make them I don't buy them.
Bojangles

but the Spider-Man Classic Series 9 Kraven looks better than the Marvel Legends kraven figure
Marvel Legends Kraven

see what i mean? Spider-Man Classics Kraven look much more like the original Sergei in the Comics...the Marvel Legends Kraven kind looks wierd
Arachnoidfreak
McFarlane Figures kick the shit out of these figures.
Bojangles
no crap, these are ToyBiz. they use a different manufacturing and engineering style, hence why they have a different look
Daywalker
I collect a little bit of everything (Mostly Batman) but of course I have Blade
Daywalker
Love the 12" collector's edition
Daywalker
Here's another pic just for the hell of it
Daywalker
Nobody beats Mcfarlane's attention to detail
Bojangles
yes but for the most part Marvel Legends has very good detail (for ToyBiz)
DarkCrawler
I like this one. http://www.spawn.com/toys/spawn/series26/spawn7/images/series26_spawn7_photo_01_dp.jpg
Daywalker
They have gotten alot better over the years and I like the various points of articulation that started off with Spiderman.
Spawnie
That is what I don't like with the marvel figures, too many articulation points, thuse the body goes out of proportion. Big upper body, skinny legs, bljah.
That pic of Spawn is from the new series 26, aka cover figures
The best early covers brought to life
, and that oen was from issue 7 or 8 I think.
That 12" Blade kicks arse, and that small blue caped Batsie
I love things that have Limited Edition on it, or collectors edition, deluxe boxed edition, stuff like that. Allthough I really wanna buy statues of Wolverine, Batsie, Spidey, Venom, JOcker, IronMan, and more. BUt I wanna buy all these with a certain lvl of detail on them, I'm not interested for it to have joints or articulation. I don't play with these I just put them in a place where I can see them all the time. That is my way of decorating my apartment, lol.
Bojangles
ill agree...McFarlane are beautiful works of art...like their Matrix figures are superb...but i think some of ToyBiz's higher line of figures can compete, like this 11" Ringwraith Roto Figure from Return of the King
http://www.marvel.com/toybiz/previews/81353.jpg
Bojangles
i snapped some pictures of my action figure collection...all of my action figures are pretty high quality and detail
all of these are Marvel Legends and Spider-Man Classics
this one is:
Top Row: Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man 2099
Bottom Row: The Rhino, Colossus
Bojangles
this one is:
Beast, Sabretooth
Bojangles
this one is:
Battle Ravaged Spider-Man, Classic Spider-Man
Bojangles
this one is:
Kraven The Hunter, Wolverine
Bojangles
this one is:
Top Row: Dr. Doom
Bottom Row: Silver Surfer w/ Howard The Duck
Arachnoidfreak
You got the Spiderman 2099 and Scarlet Spider ones! I only have the Symbiote Spiderman and the Classic Spiderman for that collection/series/whatever.
Bojangles
yeah those were exclusives from 2001 that were sold in KB Toys
Bojangles
heres a better picture of my Battle Ravaged Spidey and Classic Spider-Man
Spawnie
All those toys don't do the characters justice. I mean it's a nice collection but they could make an exception and make some toys with less articulation.
I saw the toybiz high quality figures, and yes I found many that were very cool. I love it when they make an 18" figure and with lots of detail
. I got one like that for my friend, it was Pinhead from Hellraiser. A very nice piece of work. He has a sensor so he talks when u get close to him
, lolol.
I love my Marvin (sin city) on the electric chair, he vibrates on the table and his eyes go red when u turn the switch.
Bojangles
yeah...they can overdo it with articulation..but some articulation isnt bad...but thats why Marvel Legends are good because they are pretty accurate and proportionate, but they as well can be TOO articulated
they do make some cool large scale figures like that Ringwraith figure picture i posted...i have it and LOVE it
Arachnoidfreak
I saw a Collossus bust(12 inches i think) and it looked AMAZING. and I saw Wolverine's forearm, with the claws out, awesome.
Bojangles
ToyBiz isnt the only one, ToyBiz AND Diamond Select team up to make the Marvel busts
ToyBiz and Diamond Select also makes the Maquettes, and Statues, as well as some high-end collectible action figures
this is the Colossus maquette on the Marvel Store
Bojangles
and heres the Xmen Evolution Colossus maquette
Arachnoidfreak
I know Diamond Select makes it, and they made the Wolverine Claw Replica. awesome stuff http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazines/wizard/WZ20030507-stuff.cfm
Spawnie
Someone in my country bought those replica claws from the net and got arrested, lol.
I love the statues, especially the first one of Colossus. That is the kinda thing I would buy. I think u understand me now. The statues make those heroes look great, and I don't care if they don't move or bend, they just look great like that.
Magee
Wow that collosus one is amazing
Arachnoidfreak
Colossus, Ultimate Colossus, and an AMAZING Ultimate Green Goblin
