When drunk one night I walked from my house up to the summit of bardon Hill (1 and 1/2 miles, 956 ft above sea level...) I then walked from there to the Trig point at High Cademan, then onto High Sharpley, then through Gisbornes Gorse, where I rang my good friend Spoon.... He explained that it was three AM, and what was I doing!! So I walkeed back to his place, but he was asleep, so I crashed in his garage... a walk all told of twelve miles, which took a little over 4 and a half hours.....
