Vampyres can be slayed with sun light, fire, holy water, wooden stakes, silver. Did I miss something?

You can't really kill them with crosses; you can hurt them though.

That was just some religious shit cooked up when vampires were thought to be from hell, holy water doesn't do anything either (I like the Blade concept)

yes, you've missed a lot... the only thing that can kill vampires is fire, or draining them of their blood. Decapatation does that very easily.
