Does any1 know if that quote from gandalf was in the book, or just in the movie??? And what book was it in if it was???

i think it was in both but i am not sure

From the book if I remember correctly

I somehow connect it to the grey havens, but I dont know where it is in the book... perhaps Il go and read it again to see where it was

A lot of quotes from the book are in the movie. Most are used in diffrent spots though. I love how Peter Jackson did by giving Treebeard some of TOm Bombadils lines.

I found it! It's not in Chapter 3, it's in Chapter 2, "The Shadow of the Past" when Frodo and Gandalf were talking about the Ring.
