My browers been hijacked and Adaware and Spybot dont even detect it!

Even though I change my hompage it gets changed back to websearch everytime I rebot!

Actually, I just had to re-install the system because my computer decided to spazz out complitely from the ''mortage'' and ''life insurance'' pop ups.


I think it would be good if you download Bazooka, its great for detecting spyware Adaware and Spybot dont, since I had all of them, installed.

You can also eliminate the registry kays manualy, by going on ''run'' and typing ''regedit.exe'' but thats only if you know which registry kays are messing up yer system, but those are easy to detect since they have lot of random codes. You can also recognise them by the name.

hijackthis works easier to get rid of registry keys IMO.

Use spybot, it gets rid of all that nasty stuf that casue your browser to redirect itself to something wierd.

CWShredder gets it every time

I have Spybot Search and Destroy, it works rather well.

CWShredder was great at getting rid of that annoying Cool search!

But it cant get rid of this one.
Tried search and destroy and ran an up-to-date virus scan!
Nothing!

The only thing more stress-wrinkle inducing than this bug is lil's & Bf's atrocious lack of sympathy towards me during this trying time! schmoll

well, if spybot can't find it and others, it's cause it's not classified as one or cause the solution is too easy

not sure of directwebsearch but there are others that if you go to their site you can click a link somewhere to get rid of their crap, try that first

I had that too, for weeks! it's the most annoying thing EVER I did viruscans and spyware scans all the time and nothing so I went to their site (I had searchweb.com) -> FAQs and then did some stuff (visited lots of sub-webpages) and a few days ago, I got rid of it

There are some registry kays which programs cannot detect, and you have to remove them manualy! But I guess that would be too complex for you, even after we told you how to do it.

BTW, I wouldn't recommend using any other spyware removal program apart from the two main ones (Adaware and Spybot) as some other are known to be trojans and actually install MORE spyware on your computer.

Yeah, I've been to that one.
I remove the obvious ones but there must be a hidden fart.
Cause everytime I rebot it comes back!

I've left my log on 2 sites, hopefully they'll be able to find the missing link!

I went ahead and clicked on that thing yers.
It removed he highjack but it kept all those nasty spyware logs on my comp. Someone on one of those help sites helped me clear them up.

Problem is gone!
