is it something that people beleive in..or do we acctually have it?
and fact or myth, what IS it?? i know its something in our body (if its true) but what is it?

A soul is how some people explain a conscience, or something like that. IMO, it doesn't exist, and I think if you do a search, there was a thread about this a while ago

What i beleive a soul is

Is who and what you are, the body you have is just a costume your soul wears. The soul is i think your mind.

It what seperates each other, if i was in your body and you were in mine we'd still be the same person and what makes you your person is your soul.

Thats my theories/opinion

I think some ppl need to understand the difference in some words.

and yes i do believe we have souls. it's hard to explain it. i guess it's all in a person's religious up-bringings...

Whether it be something akin to a soul or not, there are still mysteries regarding human kind. For instance, they know how the brain works, but they don't know exactly what it does. How does it make us sentient, how does it enable us with self awareness and individuality. I do agree there is something else, a little oomph that makes our bodies of flesh, blood, and awesome opposable thumbs, human. Something that makes us think, feel, act, question and...philosophize.

the soul is the only thing that goes to the afterlife, you body just sits in the ground and rots, afterlife meaning Heaven or Hell of course

I heard something similar to that before. Some people believe that the human body is a prison of the soul. That death is the release into true freedom. Kinda poetic....but I like it.

i dunno how they measured it. "they" do a lot of weird stuff. i heard it in the movie... i thoguht it sounded cool.
