Just watched this movie late tonight. Made in 1979... scarin me 25 years later ... awesome horror movie .. i Recommend !!!!!!!!!!!!


Are any of the sequels as scary ?

Part 2 "The Possession" also owns.........no need to see "3-D" or the stupid tv movie they made..........

The Amityville Horror is one of my favorite horror movies.

Didn't like any of them, thought it was too cheesy a premise.

I also wasn't impressed by them, I got bored after about 45 minutes and turned it off.

That is surprising backfire. I thought you were a fan of psychological horror.

I read the book before ever seeing the movie. If any of you like to read these types of things, PLEASE read the book. It is the only horror novel I have ever read that actually gave me goosebumps and genuinely creeped me out.

yeah it creeped me out to.When I was kid when I would read the book I would jump everytime I heard a sound in the house and when I came home from watching it at a friends house,I was looking around the whole house spooked.The sequels I didnt watch because they are not true unlike the first film which is suppose to be a true story.I personally believe that it is true myself.
