I know zip about the DCU so... yeah I don't know about anyone except for the JLA/Darkseid/Doomsday.

This is how MY list would be (as much as I know)

1. Superman
2. Darkseid

(i'm not sure if that rank is right either)

Help me out here

Gregory
Well, I don't know that much about DC's really powerful characters, but

1) God
2) Michael/Lucifer

Near the top, but maybe not third through ninth, are the Endless (Dream, Death, Destruction, Destiny, Delerium, Desire, Despair)

Also up there are the various angels and demons, but durring Day of Judgement, the heroes of Earth kicked demonic ass, so most of them are presumably relatively weak.

The Spectre and Phantom Stranger are pretty powerful.

I think the gods of New Genesis would be arround Superman's power, but I'm not really familiar with them.

Never and some people at another board put together a really long list of the most powerful DC characters. I'll try to track it down.

Ah. Found it.

Black Spiderman
darkseid is the best

leonheartmm
the most powerful is probably god, who gives the spectar his power{well atleast its rumoured that the voice that gave spectar his power is god}, then there is parallex, with all but onw ring of the green lantern corp, that guy cou;d destroy mutiverses, and then ofcourse, there is spectar, who can gain any power he wants

Katt
Isn't like The Presence the most powerful source in the DCU?

leonheartmm
hmmm, maybe, but its an abstract, i still think that GOD,is the most powerful, micheal and lucifer are very powerful too

MERCILOUS
Swamp thing almost killed God all by himself. The elementals in DCU are of basic infinite power in there domain. Only there own conciousness holds them back. Constantine unlocked Swampthing's, this is why he was able to do it. Above the elementals are the Endless. First on the list has be Death, of the Endless. In the end all answer to death even the other endless. Insert God somewhere around here. Then Parralax, the Spectre, and a few others. Finally you get down to the mainstream superheros of which Doomsday, Superman, and Shazam might be on the top.

Katt
What comics issue did Swampthing almost kill god? messed

Beyonder
Riiiiight. roll eyes (sarcastic)

According to your logic, the list goes:

1] Death
2] the other Endless & GOD
3] Elements (including Swamp Thing)
4] Lucifer & Michael...I guess confused
5] Spectre
6]........I'm confused now. So Swamp Thing almost killed GOD, yet he's below GOD in power and below Death? GOD created Michael and Lucifer and Lucifer has kicked the Endless around. The Sandman (an Endless if I'm correct) admitted Lucifer was more powerful than him. So if Lucifer can punk an Endless and an Endless is more powerful than an Element (Swamp Thing), Lucifer can punk Swamp Thing as well - and his creator/father GOD/Presence. That's your logic isn't it?

Now try and put a list together from your logic. evil face

How is anyone powerfuller then God? hysterical is Presence another name for God in DC? blink

Katt
Heh. You mean more powerful? wink

eleveninches
Who is the most powerful DC mortal corporeal being?

Also, is it true that God is dead. In the Lucifer series he departed from reation and the multiverse, but i dont know whether or not he is dead.

leonheartmm
that would have to be parallex. now i dont know why he was given such a low place in that extremely long list{nut hey that mustv taken u a helluva lot of time to pit together}, but parallex is far more powerful than micheal, and i admit that im nore of a marvel comics fan than a dc comic fan, i still know that parallex is easily on par with lucifer and is probably more powerful, and how come spectar got such a high place, that guy cudnt do a thing if lucifer or micheal wanted to smack him .around{even though he can duplicate ne power, hi is still not potentially as powerful as many of the others.

leonheartmm
and one more thing, the powers of the precence have never been totally defined, perhaps god is just a part of the presence that is more communicative towards the human world, its kinda like marvel's THE ONE ABOVE ALL.

Gregory
Who faught Parallax to a standstill in Zero Hour? The Spectre.

Beyonder
From what I know, Presence is DC's GOD and TOAA is Marvel's.

And yes that list is a bit inaccurate in my opinion as you move further down that list. However, the top portion seems accurate.

Furthermore, how can Parallax even match Lucifer or Michael? Thanos with the IG beat a handful of cosmic deities and the consensus is that he's below both L & M.

MERCILOUS
Ok beyonder, i know my response may have been worded messily but here goes. Death, The rest of the Endless, Swamp Thing (and any elementals that have reached there full potential, God, and then Spectre at his full potential (as he is the will of god the angel of death who has the right to pass judgement as he sees fit,) or Parralax if spectre is not full strength.

Abaddon
God???? What God??? Saint of Killers took care of god......so he's the best. Oh yeah, he took care of Satan too.

MERCILOUS
Oh yeah, at the end of Preacher. Saint of killers kills god. Oh but you forgot, he sat on the Golden Thrown. Does that make him God?

Abaddon
Because of the dogma behind Saint of Killers, I think only he can kill himself. God couldn't even stop him. Jesse Custer turned him away because of Genesis (which is seperate from god).

MERCILOUS
Groovy

Gregory
I don't think Preacher takes place in the DCU.

eleveninches
I dont understand how Michael and lucifer can be 2 of DC's most powerful immortal beings, considering that Michael has now died twice, and lucifer has died at least once.

eleveninches
Where would Ellaine Belloc be in the Heirarchy??
She is Michaels daughter, and recieved all of his power after his death at the beginning of time. She would have to be somewhere in the top 20 when she learns how to use the full amount of her power, but she is dead (im not sure if she was brought back to life again or not).

Also, would Christopher Rudd be included at all in the heirarchy list. I know that he is only human and has little real power, but he is now the ruler of hell, and has created a new religion with billions of demonic and human followers, so he is still quite well protected.

Also, where would Lileth be, and where would her children (the lilim) be in the DC heirarchy.

eleveninches
Also, would Morpheus be included with the rest of the endless, considering that he is now in deaths realm and is no longer a member of the endless.

And destruction is technically no longer a member of the endless, but is he still included in the list at all?

Gregory
Morpheus wouldn't be, but Dream (formerly Daniel) is still there.

I don't know about Destruction.

eleveninches
Im sure Elaine should be included in it now that she has the demiurgic power

leonheartmm
she should be, after all, isnt elaine "lucifer, with a womb"

leonheartmm
hey who do u think is stronger, parallex or lucifer morningstar?

eleveninches
lucifer probably.
lucifer is able to destroy creation, whereas parallax could only destroy a universe.

eleveninches
She is the daughter of the Archangel Michael.
She died twice and was brought back to life.
When Michael, Lucifer and Elaine went back in time to stop fenris from destroying creation at yggradsil, Lucifer was posessed by Fenris, and killed Michael (for the 2nd time). When Michael died, he passed on the demiurguc power (god's power) onto ellaine.

leonheartmm
umm, parallex didnt just destroy one universe, from what i recall, he has destroyed multiverses, and in project zero hour, he did destroy and then recreate the multiverse, he even gave the previous spectar, which was at full power, a run for his money.
and even though i like lucifer more, isnt it also true that lucifer needs micheal to create a new cosmos. without micheal, lucifer cant create nething. atleast thas what i know

Gregory
As far as I know, there is no DC multiverse; during the Crisis On Infinite Earths, the multiverse was consolidated into a single universe.

MERCILOUS
Michael has the power of genesis or something, so killing him restarts the universe and himself. I didn't get to read the one's where he passes on his power, but i doubt the girl could use it as well as he could.

eleveninches
But when he died, he had time traveled back to the begginning of time and creation, so he was not reborn, as the universe was created by him.

eleveninches
But Lucifer has his own creation outside of yahews creation. The main DC universe might not be a multiverse, but Lucifers creation could have more than one universe.

MERCILOUS
well yeah, that's the power of genisis.
