Reborn Again
Who do you think played the best Blofeld visually on screen? There have been 4 actors would played the role and whom we saw his face without hiding behind a wall:
Donald Pleasence (You Only Live Twice)

Telly Savalas (On Her Majesy's Secret Service)
http://www.jamesbond.de/assets/images/geheimdienst-gegner1.jpg
Charles Gray (Diamonds Are Forever)

Max Von Sydow (Never Say Never Again)

A picture says a 1000 words for me:

But I'll add a few more to explain. I think Donald Pleasence played the best Blofeld ever. He was mysterious, more sadistic, more sinister and carried the character of Blofeld to its highest plateau, where other actors couldn't. He played the role as a formible, arch-villain should: with class and respect. And he looked the part. Everything I ever thought Blofeld should be.

that cat looks like Mr. Bigglsworth. hopefully they kept the same cat.
Reborn Again
Hey Woody Woods, nice name change.
Beyond Image
Yessiree, changed it at the first chance i had. it seems that every where i posted they referred to me in many names.
woody woods was a hunter i heard about in a camping trip a few years back, so there is a guy out there with that name.
The Redeemer
I think Telly Savalas makes a great Blofeld...unlike Donald Pleasence and Charles Gray he actually *gets into the action* as well as lording it over Piz Gloria in true sinster Blofeld fashion...
He looks almost reptilian in his seduction of The Countessa...'tis a good job her father and Bond saved her in time...I don't think it would have been *an estate* she would have enjoyed...
Max Von Sydow is a great actor but as I haven't seen NSNA for quite some time -due to my loathing of it- I cannot really give an opinion on his part as Blofeld...
So FWIW...it's Telly, Donald and Charles in that order with Max out for lunch...
Evy_O
the one from YOLT, the worse being the DAF one
Ahnold
I agree. Blofeld isn't supposed to be a charming, witty, english cross-dresser!
The Redeemer
But HE does have some great lines...
*Tiffany, my dear...you are showing a little more cheek than usual...*
Evy_O
and the OHMSS one is pretty bad, he reminds me of a fish
yerssot
Donald Pleasence all the way!
OHMSS sucked big balls to me and the one in DAF always looked like a huge wuss to me
The Redeemer
Shouldn't that be "sucked big BEASENTS"???
yerssot
wrong movie TR
yerssot
but as long as there are three beasants and Blofeld doesn't recognise Bond when he's sitting right next to him... it's all fine by me
The Redeemer
Bond was wearing a disguise...a kilt and a pair of glasses...
yerssot
you mean Blofeld was distracted by the kilt?
The Redeemer
No...what was UNDER it!!!!!!!!
yerssot
the one big beasant?
The Redeemer
All three!!!
yerssot
I knew he was disfigured ...but this ...
The Redeemer
You win that one...
yerssot
I always make sure I win
Doctor Lecter
Definitely Donald Pleasance's interpretation. He's one of my favorite actors actually (R.I.P.). He was perfect as Blofeld.
After him, Telly Savalas was the next best.
yerssot
I liked him better as Henderson in YOLT

yep,that picture says a thousand words.Pleasence.
HeavySet
Donald Pleasence hands down.
Silent_Bomber
It has to be You Only Live Twice.
Donald Pleasance pretty much made that role his own, and he remains one of the most iconic, quintessential Bond villains of all time, even now whenever there's a bond pastiche there's always someone trying to emulate DP.
Blanket
Donald Pleasence was and is Blofeld in my opinion.
