I think JKR looks at the color green as menacing in some ways but can also be more like paradise, that's the funny thing about green!

Have you noticed:
McGonagoll wears robes of Emerald green
The letters to Harry were all written in Emerald green ink
Then the obvious ones..
Harry's eyes are like his mother's: lily green
Slytherin's house colour is green ((and there's clearly supposed to be a link between Harry and Slytherin))

Not to mention JK did say that this colour would have an important role later on... but I'm wondering: what could possibly be so important about a colour??

i dont get what some1 can do with eyes. i mean, she must b reaaaaaaaaaaaaly creative 2 do with some's1 eyes. dont get me wrong, she is very creative...but eyes? i can think that they unlock something...not a door, but something else.
