Got another one. It's not Episode 3 but Episode 2. Made it in 2001, Waaaaay before AOTC hit the cinema's.

really nice work...but why is blood coming out of the helmet?

Because in my picture Jango's head is still in it.

Just thought it was cool. Just like the bloody arm in ANH. I KNOW lightsabers cauterize wounds, but there's got to be blood. The Jedi-fights are too clean, almost sterile. There's too little blood in SW. But maybe thats the old horrormovie fan in me.

when i saw aotc in the theater, there was no way (for me) to tell his head fell
out of the helmet. it wasnt until i got the dvd and was able to see the 3 frames with the head shadow in it. until then i thought that scene was hands down the most twisted star wars scene...even more so than luke/leah incest kiss...

Here is my new Episode 3 photo collage , I made it with various cutouts on Microsoft Picture It!

nice collage work vanyoda. i like the spacebattle scene, few if any have even attempted it.

tips:

-mute R2's colors to match the color saturation of the rest of the picture

-drop some of the brightness out of anakin's face. very nice work in integrating him into the cockpit BTW.

-that federation ship on the lower left really bugs me...i dont know if its the edges, the lighting, the placement, or a combination of factors, but it appears to be miniaturised and hovering directly over the parasite-droid

-maybe lose a couple of parasite droids as well...it seems a bit overkill.

Thanks PVS for your compliment ! I'm only an amateur, i have only had Picture It program for two months, the picture took me 2 hours to finish. If anyone wants a larger image (459 X 1024 ) just PM me with your e-mail address and I will send it to you.

BTW, get a copy of photoshop, its a must have...in fact, its the ONLY must have for collage work.

I will look into purchasing Photoshop, anyway here is a few changes I made to your recommendations ( I hope they are okay)

lol the arm has been re-attached, very nice work pvs

well, if you look closer you can see its in the process of being DEtached.
if and when i get done with it, it will have a dark background, so the laser-cutting effect should be more noticable.

i also need to illustrate the mechanical arm, since a couple of people have misinterpreting his mangled sceletal arm for the mech one.

bacteria tank? are you referring to the healing tank i put vader in?
im not sure how im going to finish it. i added some more detail and more defined lines, so now im at the point where i have to decide which way to go. im thinking of bringing the illustration to photoshop and finishing it there. if i do anymore pencil work though, i dont think it will be possible.

ok, next step in the process...
i took my anakin bacto tank sceen and scanned it into photoshop. i began doing some illustration on that with the pen tablet

i cropped it down so its not the composition im going to go with, and i am nowhere near done with the shading yet.

and vanyoda, thanks alot for the visual reference of the tank. it should prove useful me thinks

Great artwork Desiringhaydenc , what computer program do you make them with, all I have is Picture It 9. Your first artwork I saw on page 1 started me making photo collages.

No I would never ever use your illustration as a reference PVS , I always use existing photos and make my own interpretation. Your aftermath of Anakin is a bit extreme , I would probably leave more of him. Anyway I'm too busy right now to spend a lot of time at my

Here's a mural I painted a few years ago. It's long been painted over but I sent a photo to the official Star Wars magazine and they published it in the Jan/Feb 2000 edition. I scanned this from the mag.

you may still have to reduce your file size, but not as much as if you upload it here. plus i believe they automatically resize the file if it exceeds the limit.

Hey that's great PVS, I only have just seen the Sponge Monkeys "we like the moon" video. Thanks Boris for the compliment, that last photo collage was the most work, having to make the vehicles out of bits of photos and making cutouts.

No I can't do gif animations PVS, feel free to animate if you want.

You can create your own vector files and then convert them to gifs. It gives you a lot of freedom if you are artistically inclined (which you obviously are). However you can't do as much with photo's. Corel Photo Paint has a few neat features but not like Photo Shop. I have Photo Shop but don't know how to use it yet. Where can I find tutorials?

i never used a tutorial...so i wouldnt know the best one.
if class demo's dont bore you to sleep like they do to me, you
can try taking a class on it. look into your local college for
non-credit courses.

my best advice is look around on the web for a basic description
of all the tools and functions. go over them all one by one, using them
and exploring the program. it will certainly take time and practice,
but 2d programs tend to be similar, so you will probably find it
more and more familiar over time as you use photoshop.
