You belive in it? what about phycologically..can someone go to a hypnotist and say make me not afraid of this and they can do it?

It's not as straight forward as making you do something. More so just removing all the reasons why you think you can't do something and making you see that you can.

Mind tricks and mental techniques are alot more complicated though.

yes..it's not a matter of believing in it or not. accessing the subconscient thorugh hypnosis is more or less proven science

You don't really need a hypnotist. The whole therapy depends on how cooperative you are. The hypnotist is only helping you to believe that whatever you're afraid of can't hurt you.

in my opinion the hipnotist doesn't make you not afraid of anything but he tells you the reason of your fear, which could be far ago in your childhood or your last lifes. and then you will together find a solution...
