40 years ago today, Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond 007, died aged 56

that is very terrible.

he left a brilliant legacy to his name the creator to 007.

yeah, and luckily the movies aren't made on his novels anymore

But before I do, I just wanna say how exciting it is that CR is based on the novel

errr... last news that the writers gave was that only a few scenes will make it. Come on, the novel is about him playing cards against LeChiffre, good for a scene, not a movie

it got the title and two perhaps three scenes... currently. that's about it...

I think his novels need much more recognition

but they always used big parts of his novels in the movies... it just stopped with Pierce

CR was just one of the few they hadn't exploited yet... though they could move on to the new books of other writers. I read an article a few months ago about the possibility to make the story-arch of auther (forgot who) into a movie... which would be a trilogy then or something.

I think it's just a shame that more people don't read the books, that being said, I need to pick a few up sometime soon.
