It's being said that The Mighty Thor dies soon.
Avengers new line up will include Wolverine. I can't remeber who else will be on the team besides Cap. Some new superhero I liked will be a new Avenger. He sounded real powerfull but i missed his intro. in a previous series.
Anyone know the new line up?

when are they getting their "new lineup"? because that might be the time to start collecting Avenger comics again .

Sentry is the really powerful one you've heard about. He had a mini-series awhile back where they retro-fitted him into the Marvel U. He has the power of a million exploding sons, but he mistakenly created a second entity called the Void which is quite evil and powerful, the only way to keep it in check is for Sentry not to use his powers, so they gave the world a mass form of selective amnesia and made Sentry agoraphobic so he wouldn't go out into public (just so in case the amnesia thing wasn't strong enough and somehow he remembered). How they deal with the Void will be interesting.

Thor may, and probably will die. But there's some cycle of the gods thing, so he'll be back by the end of next year. And there is a rumor that it might not be Stark in the Iron Man armor. It certaiinly will be interesting. This is just the initial line up, they will have various associates and more members as the ball starts to get rolling. And a new headquarters.

The new lineup begins with New Avengers #1 in Dec. I think it is. After the Chaos storyline wraps up with issue 503.

I'm not sure of when. Disassembled has to happen first. This is the time to read a good climax in Avengers. Vison just died along with Jack of Hearts who came back almost dead and exploded the mansion killing Ant-man.
I think the Red Skull is supposed to be behind the whole thing, or is it Ultron.

i was tryin to think of the next comic series to subscribe to and i think itll be the Avengers.

Thor is my favorite character. he get's killed once every 5 years and disappears off the face of comicdom. kinda getting fed up of it as well. he's not an x-man, he's not legion, if one of them die, chances are they'll be back quickly.

Breevort said Thor would be back in full force and with cool shit happening by the end of 2005. So hopefully that's the case.

wasnt Spectacular Spidey #5 tied into Avengers Disassembled? i heard thats how you can find out about him being an active member. but why would they get rid of someone as powerful as Thor???

Considering Sentry is more powerful than Thor. I don't think it matters. They've never actively gotten rid of Thor anyways, he's always left because of business in Asgard or other stuff.

We shall just have to wait and see to find out how Wolvie and Spidey join. Spider-Man is an inactive member, so he's not as much of a stretch as Wolverine. If they put Wolverine on the team, I hope he leaves the X-Men. And with Jean coming back, and Emma banging Cyclops, it would be cool if Jean shacked up with Wolverine and joined the Avengers. But have them leave their X-business behind. I'm very curious to see how Luke Cage joins up.

Yup. I like the way Bendis rights him too. Cage is a very street-savy man and proud of his roots coming from the slums, yet at the same time, behind the street smarts I think he has a couple degree's, he's fluent in several languages and more. He's not your average bouncer, and Bendis knows it and uses it.

Yes, it sucks that he'll be gone. But they're promising us that some great things are going to happen regarding him in a little bit, so hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Although their natural life spans are such that they would live forever, if a "god" recieves a grievous enough wound, he or she will die. Happened to Odin. Hercules was made comotose and given brain damage due to a severe beating. I think they have to be in the mortal realm for it to happen though.

Immortality regarding the gods as explained by marvel is in comparison to mortals. They have the lifespan of thousands of mortals, or thousands of hundereds of years. They are so long lived that they need not even consider their own end. That's the best i got.
Now Mr. Immortal of the great lake avengers is immortal in that he cannot die from a wound. Two varients here.

I don't think Vision's dead...why? If you go to the Avengers Dissassembled area at marvel and click on the watch list he's crossed out, but is orange coloured, not red.

There does seem to be a little variant in the color of Vision's portrait. However it does state that he's dead. But he's been ripped in half before, if they want, they can just rebuild him.

It's okay if he joins the Avengers as long as he leaves the X-teams. If that doesn't happen, which it probably won't then that's just retarded overexposure and I'll probably throw some sort of convulsive fit.

It'll do the X-men a world of good if Wolverine leaves the team. He made a really good leader after Storm but no he is hindering team development. I would love to see Wolverine connect with his past as a spy and work with the Avengers and rub elbows with carol danvers, cap., black widow, and some of those other shield peps.

Yeah, if he leaves X-Men (ALL teams) then it is good.

The new team is gonna lack some serious power.. i say give cain marko back the power of the juggernaut and have him join the avengers. Juggernaut on the X-Men is a horrible joke.

Although, he's got major agoraphobia and is coming to terms with who he is and what his powers can do. So he's got the potential, and he is very powerful, but he just hasn't completely realized that potential yet

yea like wolverine said in the last astonishing x-men "i cant be on all the teams" he is in every x-men title and now going to avengers? yes severely overexposed...and about Thor...has he actually died yet? does anyone know how it happened or will happen?...yea the sentry is cool...i think he would be more interesting if he had a more individual look.....does anyone have any good pics of him...he is hella powerful but i dont think he could take the place of Thor considering all his peersonaly problems he doesnt really havr the leadership or bravery characteristic of thor

Yes, I do agree Sentry has some problems. If the Avengers can conquer and defeat the Void, then I think it will be nothing but good times for Sentry and we'll be able to see him return to glory that we never actually saw in the first place but that we were assured he had at some point. If they shut down the computer in his headquarters, thus curring him of his agoraphobia, returning all of his memories to him and the populace, everything will be a-okay.

Thor hasn't died yet, but his death has been hinted at a lot.

You know who he is. I don't know will he use his old costume. I doubt it.

The last time we saw him, he had lost the cowl, and the cape was a little different, it was connected at his shoulder blades by little S logo thingies, and was a lot longer. Overall just some minor aesthetic changes.

I haven't heard from sentry in like years! Poor She-hulk going Monkey Sh*t on Vision an android can be rebuilt right? This is one of the few tiltes that have bought me back in the comic fold.

They say Thor may die in the Raganock, prob. will. Then there will be a rebirth where he will come back as a teen, like the kid in the young thor book.

I am very pleased that Marvel has decided to totally redo the whole Avengers roster. Some of the new members should have been in the main team from the start, like Sentry & Luke Cage. As for Spider-Man & Spider-Woman, they could have done away with Spider-Man and replaced him with someone new; like another X-Men, Gambit? Let's hope they get in a ton of new trouble and dangers. As for Thor, it isn't the Avengers without him. If he dies and is re-born, he should be asked to re-join.

I am interested to see how Bendis handles the New Avengers. My only gripe is, the Falcon should be on the team. He and Cap are back to palling around together, and Bendis has said that he's taking a lot of que's from Priest, so I don't know why Cap wouldn't get Falcon on the new team. Has anyone read the past couple issues of Cap and Falcon? Those new photonic wings are sweet.

They don't look that different, but he gave us a technical run down in issue 6, and they're pretty cool. Various configurations for different flight styles. Made of hard light (photonic energy) from a projector in his costume. He has about a 20 foot wingspan and can eject the wings and they dissapate. Then he can restart them and a new pair forms from photonic energy. And his new costume is a vibranium mesh like Panther's suit.

I like his attitude. Falcons. When some lame out reg. is adressing him like he's gonna bargin with him, falc. is like oh please and uses his superhero moves.

I think it is long past due that we have some staple superheros die, and stay dead. Have a d.c and marvel cross, introduce a new team of villans that require the crossing of franchises to put a stop to the situation. In doing so kill off a few hero's from both sides. Not pussy deaths eigther,some brutal head exploding deaths.

Yes, Priest has been doing a great job writing a very badass, although fighteningly schizophrenic Falcon.

I heard about Wolvie but i dont think is such a good idea and the Disassembled storyline is running in Spider-Man too which i believe is a sign and i always wondered why he wasnt an Avenger since he is very popular in the Marvel Universe and if u look at the JLA pretty much every member has his own series, to me Wolverine No, Spidey yes

Ya Now that I know Panther has the suit, i'd like to see him replace Captian A. as leader of the Avengers. Bring back the black female Captian Marvel with her full light powers. I like them as a counter to the big guys like Surfer. I'd like to see someone with the "Null" force. Null would make all power look like bullsh*t. Oh and someone vicious on the Avengers. Life is vicious so why bullsh*t about it. Wolverine lost his viciousness. Create a female who can control people, ya that's who should join 'em that supersoldier lady in amazing spider-man who can control people. I love her.

they show upcoming issues' covers, I get them there first than in Marvel.com

wolverine-if they put him in anymore issues they should change there name from Marvel Inc. to Wolverine Inc.
spider-man-he's the best and my personal fave but he's best as a loner
spider-woman-dont read her comics and dont care but having her in the avengers could get me interested

can someone please tell me what happened to hawkeye? ive no access to the comics and any help would be appreciated

The avengers (nearly all of them) are stood in the mantions front yard, then all of a sudden the Kree attack, Hawkeye runs off to get more arrows whiloe the others fight, Cap' stops one of the Kree and asks them what this is about and gets the answer that they are here to make sure this is the end of the avengers as of some betrayal, Hawkeye then returns fully armed and starts kicking Kree ass, some Kree then shoots him in the back and he yells:
"Not like this!"
"Not like this!"
"LIKE THIS!"
grabbing hold of a Kree and hitting his jetpack piloting them into the Kree mothershipsturbines and causing the ship to explode

I really liked Spiderman in 502, the things he said were written perfectly IMO

I'm glad to see the Avengers being shaken up, but I don't think being handled as well as it should have been. Most of the times his stuff is great, but his Avengers is, to me, way off base. After awhile, his "hyperrealistic" dialogue grates on me. Oh. Hm. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. YEAH! Hm.

yeah that does make awkward "what the hell?....." moments, but i dont care about the dialogue, the penciling is great and its really interesting
