Umm... Sadly, I forgot the band's name again. But they re-do "Don't Fear The Reaper" by blue oyster cult... the song was on that movie called "the frightners" any1 know what I'm talking about??

one of the few cover versions that is actually better than the original

i think faith by limp was the only thing good that came from that band.

Johnny Cash's cover of Nine Inch Nails is better than the original.

its on one of their early albums ("in a priest driven ambulance" when they were more loud punk rocker types. they originally intended to sing it sarcastically but the joy of the song shines through and makes it the best version of the song ive heard. as you like the song i recommend you hear it - good stuff

i love that song but i have never heard the original so cant judge it6 as a cover.

I almost forgot, HIM's cover of Neil Diamond's Solitary Man is a massive improvement on the original. Best cover version in years.

Right now, It's Elliott Smith's cover of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" It is just so...perfect. The lyrics are so great, and Elliott Smith's voice with the acoustic guitar cannot be beat.

I like the version of "Can't keep my eyes off you" that Muse did. I also love "No Quarter" done by Tool and "Bring the Pain" done by Mindless Self Indulgence.

erm... JM I don't think you understand what a 'cover song' is.

As for me I prefer songs in orignal version. Oh, maybe the most of them I like how Tom Jones covers some kinky 80's songs.
