You've escaped the planet the only way you could think of at the time, on an orbiting Goa'uld mothership. Now you've got to get out of there. Yet that is where another problem arrises, not only are you low on ammo, but the person who's idea it was to get aboard the ship is now dead on the planet. The only thing you can hope to do is to get to the hanger and get off the ship, but in order to get home you'll have to fly to a planet with a stargate. You're all healed up and ready to get on your way, but with low ammo (the weapons crates were empty) you're going to have to get to the hanger without two much commotion.

Mission objectives

Get to the hanger
Remain undetected

Hints

If you need to kill someone, take the time to hide the body. Unless you're setting up an ambush for guards.
Take your time, wait and work out a guards route before you make your move.

The room you are in looks like it's from an egyptian tomb, except instead of stone it's been made from gold. There are hyroglyphs on the walls and a big coal coloured door on the top (using the 9 point diagram (see v2.1 changes)) side of the room. To the left is a destroyed ring control device and around the room is multiple crates and a sarcoficus. The crates have been jimmied open by you four, so you can see inside. Some contain Naqudor and others that looked like ammo crates have been emptied.

I don't assume anyone of us would know the inside of a mothership well enough to get us to the hangar bay right ?

I'll sneak to the door and take a peek through.

OK, you open the door up to a corridor, it stretchs left and right and then turns (left turns right, right turns left) going around the block in front of you, which appears to be another room, but there's no door on this side.

Is my position at the door easy to spot ? (I.E. can I wait and check for patrols without beeing noticed from here ?)

Yup, doesn't seem to be much activity going on at the minute.

can I go and have a peek at say the left corner (I'm gonna try and walk a sneaky as possible keeping my eyes and ears open to see if I hear or spot someone comming?)

OK then, you both go to your corners and peek around to see...


...nothing. Just two identical corridors, halfway along each on the inside part of the corridor (towards the wall you are peeking around) are five black pillars carved into the wall.

Are those pillars forcefield generators or are they there just for decoration ?

I gues you'ld just have to find out for yourself whistle

don't I have anything I can throw to where the forcefield should be to find out?

Nope, you'ld just have to go up and either examine the pillars or tap the space in between with your gun.

then I'll guess I'll go and examine the pillars carefully?

(btw anyone any ideas on why the goa'ulds don't have cameras on board their ships?)

I guess that they think that they won't need them and that no-one will be able to get aboard one of their vessels...

Yes I shall let you do that. But as you reach the first pillar a guard starts to walk past the corner of the "block" ahead of you, so far you can only see his staff. You may now take a non-combat stealth action to avoid detection on the next turn.

You could always hide between the pillars

Myu guy(Steve?) will jog along to behind Fire's character's corner. Not where Fire's character is, but behind the corner, and look around it.

OK, so Steve is where Marcus was last turn and MArcus is behind the pillars, that right?

Seems to be the case. Steve's not actually in the middle of the corridor though...

You did? Ah well, I'll just have to change that. I think I thought it was a spelling mistake or something and changed it.

OK, Marxus ducks in behind the pillar just as the guard (a serpent one if you must know) walks to the middle of the corridor at his end and turns to look down it. Both of you are behind cover so he can't see you. Another guard does the same thing at Andrei's end.

Behind the pillars is a small alcove that stretches past all the pillars with a door in the middle, placed discretely behind a pillar (no. 3).

Is the door on both sides of the corridor ? If so, I'll sneak to the door on my side... (that way we can bust in from two sides :evilsmile

There is a door on your side, but are you sure you want to move with a guard looking down the path at you? Remember you can wait to see what he'll do next.

Ok then... I'll wait and see...

Just need to see if Marxus and Steve going to wait as well. I'll see if Kael's still around when we start college again next week.

OK, that's not very long to wait as the guards look down the corridors and see nothing of interest. They then turn back to face the corridor that they came from and walk forwards. You are still un-noticed.

Oh and if anyone's thinking of ,aybe just shooting someone without trying any stealth moves they'll lose the whole team brownie points

Steve will quickly and quietly move up to Marxus.

not sure whats going on, so kael will just slowly walk towards the door which is near to the pillars.

OK, so Andrei and Kael are on the right hand side hidden behind the pillars and next to the door while Marxus and Steve are in the same position on the left

okay.. can i peek through the door keyhole/gap (if it has one)

Steve will do likewise.

I presume we have communication?

Yeah, you've got little walkie-talkies. However, at the moment there is no gap in the door. You could try to jimmie it open with a knife

ok, kael pulls out his knife and trys to open the door with it

Fire
is there no normal way to open these doors, meaning I doubt goa'ulds open these doors by jamming a knife in it.

Yeah there's a little bird hyroglyph that you can turn to open it, but they wanted to peek in which you couldn't do by opening the door.

Inside there doesn't appear to be any guards, but you can just see the other door from the angle you're at

OK then. You open the door and inside is four ramps, two up two down It appears to be a way to navigate between floors of the ship.

Steve waits patiently while Marxus examines the room,
"What's your advice?"

Kael
"i reckon we go up the ramps" kael said

rusky
"hmm....a staircase.."

So then, you guys going to be going up or down? By-the-by the guards are looking down the corridors again now if you were thinking of going back into them. At the moment you're all hidden.

"I say we go in," Steve says down the mike.

Who did we decide was the leader?

SpikeSpiegel
Well, it was either you or Andrei (Rusky). Both are human, that means equal rank. Version 3, which is being planned now so it'll be implimented in the second set of missions, if anyone's interested in doing them, allows for players to choose their ranks. The mission's will also be quite different, from each other and from these.

So is that lieutenant guy we saved still in charge of what we do, then?

I think he's dead now..

So...what do you think, up or down ? Can look up&down the stairs and see approx where we are now ? (as in lower or higher)

Yeah, but the position of them is like those staircases that come down to a small platform then turn around and go back giving you a limited view.

No guards, and if there is it'ld be in hyroglyphics and none of you chose to be able to understand eygptian

Is there any chance we could pinch the ship big grin

Yeah, all you have to do is overpower all the guards (over 100) prevent them from using the sarcophicus, defeat the Goa'uld leader of the ship, learn the controls and then it's all yours

Yeah, did I mention that the Goa'uld running the place is as strong as you guys and has one of those shield things protecting him from harm

OK, so you want to go up. There's a ramp up on both the left hand and right hand sides of the room. You can use that toa strategic advantage if you like.

Ok then....we should go up, two by two... me and Kael on one side and Marxus and Steve on the other. Stealthy ofc..

OK, you all go up the stairs in your little groups of 2's. On this floor (W'll call it floor 1 with the one you started on being 0) there doesn't appear to be anything. There's a door on one side and more stairs up.

"Great...it's like going in a maze...we need a map.

Just one door ? maybe this isn't another corridor level...let's see.
One of us should check the door (peek through), the rest will secure the stairs. Kael, u go ( peek-aholic stick out tongue)

I'll move slightly off the ramp to watch Kael's back, Marxus and Steve should secure the two ramps.

i dont wanna go through the door, as there is something evil behind it confused . Cant i go up the stairs while some else go through the door, as i can secure the up stairs. (make sure nobody come's from behind wink )

OK then, you go up to the door and peek through it. On the other side is another corridor, you can hear footsteps, alot of footsteps

see i said there would be evil things on the other side of the door. so... i think we should go up the stairs.

By the way so far you've been lucky, I've been rolling to determin what room you face next and so far you've been ok.

Yeah, it's the same as the room below, there are more stairs/ramps going up and down

I say we go through the door. Spike's been rolling, and we've been lucky. I would rather be lucky than keep going and being unlucky.

okay.. but i think we should continue going up, as the whole mission is based on stealth.

"Ok, let's see.... hmm... Steve is right, we won't be lucky FOREVER, but then again... ok, here's the plan, we get off on this level and try to find something, anything that can point us in the right direction. We haven't checked the door yet, so we don't know if it's clear or not, but either way we'll try to get off here.. same setup, I check the door."

No, I said you'ld NEED to check the door.

Ohhhhhh, unlucky Rusky. A 1 that's bad:

You go and open the door a crack there are two guards outside, upon hering the door open behind them they turn to see what's going on.....you have a turn to hide, entering combat time.

Stealth combat round 1

Andrei - Stealth 3
Steve - Stealth 2
Marxus - Stealth 1
Kael - Stealth 2
Total = 7

Guard 1 - Awareness 2
Guard 2 -Awareness 2
Total = 4

Now use some stealth moves to up your stealth, they could get lucky and spot you at the moment.

You gunna give uis some sort of stealth moves to do? Or do we just say
Steve flattens himself on the wall by the door, his gun pointing at the door?

hmm... ok.... not to sure what stealth move to do, so could you give us a description on the corridor (like are there gaps).

Nope, just 4 walls, 4 walkways, 2 up, 2 down, and a door with 2 guards on the other side.

You guys roll +4, they roll -2. 14 beats 2. You're all still undetected.

I'ld like you all to know that all the +1's aren't supposed to be for each move. It was supposed to be different epending on all the circamstances, your stealth, the area you're in etc. but I lost my detailed notes, so it'll just be like that for this time.

It's high, you don't know how far but it'ld last you a while. Two of you could easily eliminate the guards through stealth, but then what to do with the bodys? Take the uniforms, hide them...choices, choices

Me and Steve will sneak up behind the guards and try to use the slid throat thing, while Kael and Marxus provide fire cover in case things go wrong.. (I figure we're the humans so we should know how to handle a knife better)

Andrei, +4 on your stealth roll, but +4 on their alertness means that you're still undetected, you sneak up and slice the guards throught.

Simultaniously, Steve rolls evens, while the guard gets evens too. It's up to luck now as you go to attack, do you want evens or odds?
