3. Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...)
4. Physical Appearance

8. Which has a better autograph?!
9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight?
10. Which is a more interesting character to read?

Best out of ten wins

Evangel94
Who has more money? Stark by far. He's one of the richest men in the Marvel world. Which business does better than the other and rakes in more money? Stark

Stark by far. He's a genius. Bruce is more of a detective and analyst.

Bruce. He's on par with captain america.

Tie, unless you prefer the goatee then Stark

Stark is a mega playboy. He's had tons of women.

A game of chess isn't the best way to judge someone by. Tie

They both suck at singing. Tie

8

Who cares that's so trivial, Tie

On a daily basis, Iron Man fights way tougher villains that Batman ever will by himself.

There both fine. Tie

4 Wins for Stark, 1 for Bruce, 5 Ties. Stark Wins

Nataku8188
1) I'm not sure which. Too lazy to check.
2) I'd say its a close one... Stark knows all sorts of math and techno stuff, but Bruce knows lots of physics, chemistry, detective stuff...
3) Definilty Bruce
4) Stark needed his suit to live (does he still?) for quite a while. I'm goin with Brucie.
5) Stark has had more, and Bruce's are very rocky. Stark
6) Bruce, he's a master tactician. I doubt Stark is as good as him.
7) Be damned if I know.
8) Be damned if I know.
9) Bruce's villains are much more sinister and devious. Iron man's are more powerful. It depends on how you look at it. Personaly, I say bruce.
10) Bruce. His comics (the good ones) stick to his detective roots, while ironman just flies around and blows crap up.

Bruce 5, stark 1, 4 uncomparable.

Evangel94
Stark is one of the richest people on Marvel. He operates on an Intelligence level far far above Bruce. He doesn't need his suit to live. That was a LONG LONG time ago. Stark has had more Women because of his looks and charm. Iron Man's villains may be more powerful than batman's will ever be, but that doesn't mean they are any LESS devious.

"ironman just flies around and blows crap up."

Well, now i know you don't read Iron Man. Go buy some issues and then try to post some more actual facts.

Mane
hmm...i'd say Bruce. he got his money far earlier than Stark. ya know, the whole "Boy Billionaire" thing.

this is a close one. id say Stark. after all, hes built TONS of different armors, and Bruce has built like one technological suit of armor.

Bruce

Bruce of course. hes so debonaire.

tie...

Bruce is the superior strategist. by far.

*sigh* Bruce...

i think Tony Stark would look better on paper

id say Stark. hes got some insanely powerful villains to fight...

Ugh! Bruce by far! his parents death, the batcave, his motivation--all very good stuff.

Bruce wins...

DarkCrawler
Stark, probably.

Bruce has more knowledge then Stark has. Stark may be the master in mechanics, but Bruce is still master in more areas then Stark is.

Pfft. Bruce by far.

Never looked them in that way...but I think Bruce is more handsome.

Stark...

Bruce, easily.

Bruce, at least in animated series...

Depends on opinion, I think that Bruce Wayne is better name, some think that Tony Stark is better name.

Bruces villains are easily more sinister and devious. Starks are more powerful.

Batman. Duh.

SUPERMANDAMAN
1. Business vs. Business (Stark Enterprises vs. Wayne Enterprises)
Id have to go with Bruce on this one.

2. Knowledge (includes: mathematics, science, physics, chemistry, mechanical know-how)
Stark might know more about math but Bruce has got the all around i mean he had degrese in most of those sections by the time he was 16

3. Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...)\
Batman easily
4. Physical Appearance
Batman
5. Luck with women cool
Stark just because he tries harder than Batman
6. If they played eachother in a chess tournament.....
Batman easily
7. Singing talent eek!
dont know dont care
8. Which has a better autograph?!
prolly Stark
9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight?
Starks might be more powerful but they arent as evil as Batmans
10. Which is a more interesting character to read?
Batman just because he is a classic and he dont have powers so it makes it interesting.

ScarletSpider
1. Business vs. Business (Stark Enterprises vs. Wayne Enterprises)
Stark.

2. Knowledge (includes: mathematics, science, physics, chemistry, mechanical know-how)
Stark.

3. Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...)
Bruce.

4. Physical Appearance
Tie, I suppose.

5. Luck with women
Stark, imo.

6. If they played eachother in a chess tournament.....
Bats.

7. Singing talent
Stark. With his Iron Man suit he could easily modulate his voice to do a sick Domo Aragato Mr. Roboto.

8. Which has a better autograph?!
Stark

9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight?
Tie.

10. Which is a more interesting character to read?
At the moment Stark, I think. With the troubles in Avengers Disassembled and his own title. Plus he's ousted his secret identity and is Secretary of Defense which lends a nice dimension to the stories.

Lenord
1. Business vs. Business (Stark Enterprises vs. Wayne Enterprises)

Wayne... You guy do know that Tony has a habbit of loosing his business, don't you. I mean he lost Stark Enterprise and now owns a company called Stark Solutions (or something like that)

2. Knowledge (includes: mathematics, science, physics, chemistry, mechanical know-how)

When it comes to electronics, mathematics and mechanics then Stark is way ahead in the field, but when it comes to physics, chemistry and such Wayne is ahead, and of course there are other areas of knowledge but for the sake of this discussion Stark manages to win it....

3. Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...)

Stark without his armour is not much of a fighter so this goes to Wayne

4. Physical Appearance

As the saying goes "Beauty is in the eyes of the Behoulder"

5. Luck with women

Both Bruce and Stark are known as playboys, and they both have a habbit of falling for the wrong women.

6. If they played eachother in a chess tournament.....

Wayne

7. Singing talent

Stark... Just because you would never catch Wayne singing...

8. Which has a better autograph?!

Ehhhh.... How would anyone know these

9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight?

In terms of pure strength, Stark (what do you expect he wears a suit of Iron)... But since we are not talking about pure strength I will go for Wayne, because he has to deal with physco's who would kill thier own mother at the drop of a hat....

10. Which is a more interesting character to read?

Stark, mainly because he has gone through a lot of changes lately...

All in all Wayne wins it with a very small margin but since most of the questions are a close call and would depend on personal prefrences it could go either way....

ska57
Stark does loose his businesses (three times I think) but EVERY TIME he recovered and re-built it up to a world-wide contender EVERY TIME too, he also inherited the first Stark Industries when he was 21 and expanded it. Plus, Stark himself invented most (if not all) of the technology that makes up Stark Enterprises (I actually think it's Stark International now), while Bruce Wayne hires people to invent stuff.

Nataku8188
Therefore increasing productivity.

9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight?

In terms of pure strength, Stark (what do you expect he wears a suit of Iron)... But since we are not talking about pure strength I will go for Wayne, because he has to deal with physco's who would kill thier own mother at the drop of a hat....

It says TOUGHER super-villains - not more evil. Bat villains are mostly mere humans. Punisher style would take out most of them. They're evil and all - but you can still snipe their f#cken head right off. Iron Man villains are super powered guys that can take grenades and bullets with ease, try killing one of them if you had to.

This vs. thread involves everything that can be argued about the two:

1. Business vs. Business (Stark Enterprises vs. Wayne Enterprises)
Stark
2. Knowledge (includes: mathematics, science, physics, chemistry, mechanical know-how)
Tie
3. Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...)
Bruce
4. Physical Appearance
Stark
5. Luck with women
Definately Stark. It says women - Robin doesn't count.
6. If they played eachother in a chess tournament.....
Bruce
7. Singing talent
Tie
8. Which has a better autograph?!
Tie
9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight?
Starks. Easier to kill Bat villains than IM villains.
10. Which is a more interesting character to read?
Iron Man.

Gregory
No, it said tougher to fight. Starks villains are stronger, but since Iron Man is also stronger than Batman, it doesn't follow that his villains are tougher for him.

Swanky-Tuna
Batman's villians are friggen creepy usually. Like diabolical masterminds that dress like storybook characters or robits.

Lenord
The only reason Stark is such a success when it comes to business is that he is a great inventor. The fact that he keeps loosing his business just shows how bad he is at managing his business. One thing I could never figure out is how he has kept his patent on the Iron man suit when it is owned by his company and he has lost the company to others so many times...

P.S. I always thought that it was a bit stupid the way that Stark looses his business and somehow manages to build a new business that is as big (if not bigger) than his old business in just a few months. It just makes the whole story of him loosing his business pointless...

Tougher does not mean stronger either... Punisher can also snipe Iron Man's villans, all he needs is adamantium or antimetal tipped bullets and they will be dropping faster than ducks in hunting season... The fact of the matter is that with the right weapons Iron Man's villans can be defeated easier than Batman's villans. Batman's villans very rearly go for a straight on attack which is what makes them tougher to deal with...

ragesRemorse
Bruce is American so he wins. we cant have some mexican, or what ever spanish decent he is win.

Paola
^ ... and Mr. Stark?

ragesRemorse
yeah him too wink

Evangel94
Define "american".

Evangel94
That is the most racist comment i've read on a comic book forum. You've totally lost all credibility.

Tony Stark is a multibillionaire american industrialist and lets not forget THE AMERICAN SECRETARY OF DEFENSE. He meets and deals with more American figure heads on a daily basis than you will in your entire life.

Swanky-Tuna
Aww... "black" humor loses a point...

Grimm22
1. Business vs. Business: Bruce, he never seems to have bussiness trouble, while Tony on the other hand...

4. Physical Appearance: Bruce, the dark tall and handsome look probobly is more appealing than Tony's beard laughing

5. Luck with women cool Tony. Bruce, is to busy moping in his cave

6. If they played eachother in a chess tournament: Tony wins, while in a conference, while taking down a supervillan

7. Singing talent: Bruce (apparently)

8. Which has a better autograph: Wolverine stick out tongue

Even though he has a healing factor, I don't think that exactly constitute towards his combat skills.

It could help him in combat though.

yea ur right bruce wins in combat

Superherovandal
1. Business- Bruce he owns Lex's company if i'm not things havent changed
2. Knowledge- Tie

3. Combat Skills Bruce with one hand would pawn Tony

4. Physical appearance. well i took a look at some of the comics and i find Bruce more good looking especially in Hush.

5. Luck with women- Tony by far. Bruce has his share of women but being the jackass that Bats is he can't compare to Tony.

6. Chess tournament- Bruce he's the master tactitian.

7. Singing- I'll give it to Tony cause he's drinks more.

8. Better autograph... no boddy cares...

9. Who has tougher villians to fight? Depends Tony's are usually have a ton of powers but Bats are more analytical and scarier. I'd much rather meet Golden Blade than Joker. so it depends what one would call tougher.

10. Interesting character... I like Batman more.

Bruce 5 Tony 2 Tie or nobody gives a dang 3

1. Business vs. Business (Stark Enterprises vs. Wayne Enterprises)

I would say Bruce is richer, just because it seems like Tony's had more financial problems.

2. Knowledge (includes: mathematics, science, physics, chemistry, mechanical know-how)

Tony may have Bruce beat when it comes to Mech, but Bruce has Tony beat in just about everything else.

3. Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...)

Bruce no question.

4. Physical Appearance

Probably Tony(Doesn't Bruce scowl a lot, or is that just in costume?)

5. Luck with women

Probalbly Tony

6. If they played eachother in a chess tournament.....

Bruce

7. Singing talent

I only have JLA unlimited to judge by, but I would say Bruce

8. Which has a better autograph?!

Does Bruce even sign autographs?-Tony

9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight?

Overall, Iron Man has tougher villians, BUT, Batman's villians are tougher FOR HIM. He often has to fight on after anyone else would give up, and pulls it off through sheer determination. So I say Bruce.

10. Which is a more interesting character to read?

IMO Batman.

Fanboy
9 for Stark.

Business vs. Business (Stark Enterprises vs. Wayne Enterprises)
1. I think Bruce becuase doesnt tony just sell to the military? I would consider Bruce more of a public success.

Knowledge (includes: mathematics, science, physics, chemistry, mechanical know-how)
2. Probably Tony

Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...)
3. Bruce by far

Physical Appearance
4. Bruce is obviously sexier

Luck with women cool
5. Bruce becuase he has a bigger

trust fund

If they played eachother in a chess tournament.....
6. Probably bruce? duno, tie i guess

Singing talent eek!
7. Everyone wants to hear the sorrows of a broken man, and no one can resist the tears of a grown man. clearly bruce wins this category

Which has a better autograph?!
8. Tonys arms seem to drip with ecstacy whenever he signs an autograph, so tony wins this one.

Which has tougher super-villains to fight?
9. LITERALLY tougher? Tony. But if you were to do it Proportionally, I would have to lean towards bruce.

Which is a more interesting character to read?
10. Batman, because hush was just too raw.

1. I have to go with Wayne here, I think stark is a great inventor and smarter tech guy (see 2) but Wayne a better Businessman.
2. I actaully think a tis is in order, science i give to Tony, but there are other areas where Bruce excells.
3. Bruce no contest
4. Depends on the artist
5. Stark, but only because he trys harder
6. Bruce
7&8 don't care
9: Tougher - Stark, Smarter and more interesting, maybe Wayne
10 tie

I am a Marvel guy, but give credit where credit is due
I see it 3-2 Wayne (with some ties)

I don't feel like reading other posts.

1. Business vs. Business, Stark has lost his company many times. After creating Stark Solutions Stark was stated to be a millionaire, hundreds of millions, but still millionaire. Bruce is a billionaire playboy. Billions vs millions you do the math.
2. Knowledge (includes: mathematics, science, physics, chemistry, mechanical know-how). Its been stated that if Bruce could easily have several phds, however due to his time acting as a playboy, head of a multibilliondollar company, superheroing.. he doesn't. Bruce easily has higher possible potential. As far as "knowledge" goes, Stark as more in terms of sciences. As far as "overall" knowledge, Bruce easily surpasses Stark. Which are you going for? Detective means he has to know more subjects, Stark is specialized in a single area.
3. Combat skills (karate, martial arts, stuff like that...) Bruce. By far. Easily.
4. Physical Appearance. Bruce has landed most of the villanous women he's gone for, catwoman, poison ivy... even a few superheroes.. ie... wonderwoman.. Stark "buys" his girls with his money and philanthropic attitudes. Not his good looks.
5. Luck with women. Stark has better luck. Other than Madam Masque, and maybe (if you consider her Stark's girl anyways) Jade, most of his women aren't trying to constantly kill him or take over the city....
6. If they played eachother in a chess tournament..... Starks a scientific genius. Bruce is a cunny detective and purportedly the single greatest mind in DC. He'd perform a queen exchange for a bishop that would dumbfound Stark, in exchange for the checkmate.
7. Singing talent. Can't imagine Bruce in a karoake bar... but tony has been known for his penchant of asian girls. Asian girls=asian bars. Asian bars =Asian drinks. Asian drinks lead to asian singing!!!.. karoake at its finest. Stark would just have more experience pretending to be a member of the backstreet boys.
8. Which has a better autograph?! I'm not sure. never seen either sign.
9. Which has tougher super-villains to fight? tougher? Starks villains are upfront, hardcore powerhouses. Batman faces a larger power gap with his villains. but his villains are more psycotic. Starks villains do it for money, and corporate reasons. Batman's do it for the sheer will to kill the masses. I'd say a mass homicidal lunatic is a lot harder to figure out than a guy in a giant robo-suit... standing there waiting for a fight.
10. Which is a more interesting character to read? you would think i'd say batman... but i tend to read iron man more. honestly sometimes it feels like a reading a superman... without the powers.. comic.. when i read batman. I like the feeling that a character can lose.

Okay heres mine.

1. I'd go with Wayne because he's able to compete with Luthor and at a point has owned his buisness(meybe still does).

2. Wayne. As far as technology(know how) I'd probably go with Tony but everything else(physics, chemistry, phycology, forensics, martial arts, human anatomy, detective work, strategy/tactics etc.) Bruce wins. easily.

3. Wayne.........need I really explain.

4. Wayne, has better build and has the tall, dark, handsome look goin.

5. Tony, he tries harder and Bruce doesn't really have alot of time for women in his life. On the other hand it's Stark's obsession. But Bruce has the hottest babe in comics(Wonder Woman) and that's all that matters but I'll say Stark.

6. Wayne, better strategist.

7. Going by JLU Wayne.

8. I think Tony Stark is a cooler name and would look better on paper.

9. Batman, by far. Joker, Lex, Ra's, Deathstroke, Mr. Freeze are freakin cool. They are homicidal maniacs. Joker is the #1 comic-book villain in my book.

10. Batman in my opinon is the best superhero of all time behind Spuerman. Batman is the more interesting o read imo: Origin, Cave, Sidekicks, Best Rouge's Gallery, Utility Belt, Vehicles, and Justice League. But I won't lie the idea of having super-powered armour is cool and original for Iron Man.

Soljer
1. I'd say Wayne - Stark's business has been ****ed over one too many times far too easily.

2. As Martin mentioned, Stark has the better knowledge as far as straight gadgets go, so maybe he'd win in fields of engineering and maybe computing, but all the theoretical sciences and social sciences, Wayne has him beat.

3. Easily Bruce Wayne. Unless, of course, Stark is given time to observe the fighter before hand. Then he can tune his suit specifically to that fighter, the way he did Captain America.

4. Wayne is too by-the-book handsome. Stark has more of the "I don't give a damn" arrogant look.

5. Neither have particularly good luck. Both could get almost anyone they wanted because of their money, looks, and suave nature. However, Bruce never really devotes much time to it (besides taking out Supermodels to keep up appearances). Tony, on the other hand, sleeps with far more women, devotes far more time to it, but doesn't really have 'luck,' as far as I'm concerned. One night stands are easy - relationships are not. Draw, as far as I'm concerned.

6. Hard to say. Depending on Tony's post-extremis mental processing speed, and how sensitive his 'spider sense' can be tuned to, he may be able to predict moves, or even sense the right and wrong move. A pre cognitive chess computer? On the other hand, if neither of those things are allowed, or neither CAN work in this context, I'd give it to Bruce.

7. **** if I know.

8. First name: Tony. The 'y' seals the deal. Last name: Wayne, 'w's and 'y's are GREAT letters to 'modify' in an autograph.

9. Tougher or better? Tony's normal rogue's gallery is certainly stronger than Batman's (assuming you don't include in Batman's Rogue gallery things like Darkseid or the like - just the Joker, Riddler, Penguin, et cetera). I'd definitely say that Batman's villains are more interesting, though.

10. Depends on the writer. Neither character is inherently more interesting, they both have their positives and negatives.

1. Business: Wayne Enterprises ftw. Stark never had to compete with Lex Luthor and he's lost his business several times, sometimes by way of the bottle. stick out tongue

2. General knowledge: Batman. Technical skills: Very close. It depends on whether we count the crazy shit batman has pulled off with modifying and using alien tech.

3. Combat skills: Batman ftw. :batman:

4. Stark's been drawn badly lately IMO. Going wit Bruce.

5. Women: Stark, easily. Bruce does not do well in relationships.

6. Anyone who says Iron Man wins this round needs to read 'Obsidian Age' TPB. cool

7. "Am I Blue?" laughing out loud

8. Stark. I doubt Bruce gets out in public enough to be asked for his autograph. Or at least he doesn't seek the media out the way Stark does sometimes.

9. Tougher in a fight? Most of IM's regulars. Tougher to deal with? Batman's A List villains are much tougher to fight than Stark's. Frankly, I don't think Tony could handle the joker if he went to the MU. no Joker is smarter than Batman for god's sake.

10. Stark, pre-CW. Post-CW: Hard to say. Things like All-Star Batman and The Initiative are making it hard to judge.
