Want to move to Arizona...

Over the past ten years Arizona has increased dramatically in size...

Especially in the area where I live.

The Phoenix Metro Area is growing and growing and is still growing now each and every day.

Phoenix sits at number 6 in the nation for the largest city
Phoenix, Arizona (pop 1,371,960)

Tucson sits at number 27 in the nation for the largest city
Tucson, Arizona (pop 503,151)

Mesa sits at number 39 in the nation for largest city
Mesa, Arizona (pop 426,841)

Glendale sits at number 74 in the nation for largest city
Glendale, Arizona (pop 230,564)

Scottsdale sits at number 80 in the nation for largest city
Scottsdale, Arizona (pop 215,779)

Gilbert, Arizona which is about 30 miles from my house is the second fastest growing city in the United States

Gilbert, Arizona (+22.8%, pop. 135,005)

Chandler, Arizona is the 12th fastest growing city in the United States

Chandler, Arizona (+14.4%, pop. 202,016)

What I don't get is why people want to live here...I mean the weather sucks during the Summer time where we get temps well over 100+.
In the winter time we get temps in the 60s or sometimes cooler.

I mean there is nothing here...No big name places here like Amusement parks or Landmarks.

Glendale, Arizona got 2 sports teams to move here...

The Cardinals which suck and the Phoenix Coyotes

Along with the Coyote Arena they are making several shops

The first phase of Westgate City Center will encompass 450,000 square feet of office, retail and entertainment space. New tenants just announced for the project's first phase include Loew's Cineplex, a Virgin Megastore, a restaurant operated by the Mastro Group, a Taifoon restaurant, Martini Ranch nightclub, and two more high-concept restaurants to be built by Fox Restaurant concepts.

The Loew's Cineplex plans to open a 20-screen, 4,000 seat complex in fall 2005.
