If you could choose a new scene, what would it be?

This is based on the speculation regarding the comments made by Lucas on the DVD commentarys and so on.

This is basically what kind of scene would you like to see restored/added to the Trilogy the most?

What do you think would make the movies better?

C3PO removing the sticker to the Wampa Ice Creature bay on Hoth and Stormtroopers getting ripped to pieces? How about that for a rusty bucket of bolts?

Luke and Biggs conversations on Tatooine/Tosche Station battle observing? It would make the death of Biggs actually quite sad rather than pathetic and slightly funny (muahahaha says evil I).

Boba Fett blasting out of the Sarlecc Pit?

Yoda bouncing along with Luke during his training?

Y'see, I can do without all of them - but I'd really LOVE to see Boba escape from the Sarlecc Pit. That would, for me, be a change for the better. No longer the subject for a slapstick death. No longer reduced to comic relief (in fact I'd actually laugh, laugh at those fools thinking Mr.Invincible Uber Bounty Hunter is dead!). And while you're at it Lucas - fix his jetpack fire, it still looks crap.

In fact, it could even ADD to the threat of the situation. When Boba blasts out of the pit, you see him fly through the air, and then we see him land with a thud on the sand, still alive, with his metal armour fizzling and smoke rizing from his body as we see him breathing. It would make clear just how bad being eaten by a Sarlecc monster truly is. Oh well, its an idea.

wait, i thought george wanted yoda to be hopping along with luke, but he didnt really do it...if he filmed a scene like that i would like that restored

Yeah those are the sorts of things I mean.

Doesn't matter if he bothered filming them, just the fact he actually considers doing them.

I prefer Yoda in the backpack to be honest.

That's the sort of scene that would end up ERASING an older one. It couldn't be an addition really, like the deleted Jabba/C3PO/Biggs scenes.

I'm still going for Boba Fett escaping the pit, it's an addition, it would not erase anything that was there previously. You'd see Boba go in, then it cuts to a fabricated shot of an explosion in the pit (no need for any actors, just a shot of the pit), and then a CGI Boba quickly (as to not look fake) escapes, and as Luke is fighting, it would be cool to see a composited Boba fly up in the air behind the fighting. Then it cuts to a sky shot of Boba doing a runner, never to be seen again.

despite the anger I'll recieve from fans of the EU, I want to see the ending space battle of ROTJ to be intercut with battles all over the galaxy. I want to see an exploding, sabotaged shipyard on Geonosis, I want to see an underwater battle on Kamino with the Kaminoans blowing up the cloning facilities, I want to see a Wookie revolt on Kashyyk, I want to see Gungans and rebels storming the palace on Naboo, but most of all, I want to see Mon Mothma addressing a crowd in the senate building as an entire squadron of civillians and republic troops escort Mas Ammedda and Sly Moore away under gunpoint. Oh, and victory celebrations on every inhabited planet scene in the six movies and in the clone wars cartoon. as for the Jedi ghost scene, how about making alec guiness turn into Ewan Mcgreggor circa Episode III and Yoda becoming young and full of hair as soon as Hayden fades in.

That stuff about the other battles is actually kinda cool. It doesn't really fit, but its better than the celebration crap. Can someone explain to me why Coruscant celebrates the end of the Empire?
Concerning the Yoda thing, Lucas didn't say anything about PERFERING Yoda bouncing along, he said that's sort of what he thought he'd do. Then they came up with the back pack which seemed to make more sense (both for his transport, and its added weight for Luke while he's running around). I think he was mentioning that it was an early idea. Not what he'd prefer.

I too would really like to see Boba blast out. I like Superflies idea of showing him landing and being all beaten up. I'd also like to see ANH get two additions--Palpatine disolving the Senate, only because we've seen all the other major government actions in the PT so it would just sort of pull that trend and energy into the OT. I'd also like to see the seen added where Bail Organa watches the Death Star close in in the upper atmosphere of Alderaan.
As far as the Wampa scenes of ESB, I've seen screen shots and I don't think anybody wants them added. They look cheesy, the Wampa's in those scenes looked different and really lame. The screen shots are on starwarz.com under tbone's guide.
