ANGELIQUE
DOES ANY BODY ELSE LIKE THE SHIELD?

Tex
I love the shield, the best cop drama program ever!
I cant wait for the new season to start this month!

thumb up

Lobo
When Vick Mackey falls, it will be a hard fall and he'll take some people with him.

bader40
The Shield is a great but i think NYPD Blue just beats it to the title of best American cop show.

Firesky
love the sheild.... the first ep. was great cant wait untill next week! thumb up

Tex
Yeah, I'm so glad that black gay guy got his revenge! thumb up

ANGELIQUE
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CHAHACTER?
I LOVE THE STRIKE TEAM, VIC AND THE
BOYS ARE SO COOL,I LOVE THEIR STYLE
smokin' smokin' smokin' smokin'

Oswald Kenobi
FX has the two best shows on TV in The Shield and Nip/Tuck.

nightcrawer89
i like the new seaons it is sweet.

Schmoe
I dunno... I love NYPD Blue, but it kind of went downhill once Sipowitz got back on the wagon permanently and started lecturing his fellow detectives about the dangers of alcohol. It lost its "dark" edge. Now, I think The Shield is #1 and NYPD Blue #2.

Everyone keeps telling me how great "The Wire" is, but I just can't make myself sit through an episode erm. The characters just don't seem to have any depth...

Neo_Version 7
Anyone like this show? I think it's kick-ass!

Schmoe
LOVE this show wink It's the best "non-HBO" series on TV.

BTW: Last week's episode was great. I never saw that ending coming. I knew that they would eventually kill off Deon, but I didn't expect it to be so soon... assuming he's dead and not just mangled, of course wink

<<Solo>>
Well I think it's basically just like a 24 ripp-off.

Neo_Version 7
"24 rip-off"?! Wh@t the hell you talkin' bout, dude? Give me a "for instance". I need to hear this one.

Tex
24 rip-off?!? eek!

WHAT!?!?

Pahlease! roll eyes (sarcastic)

Yeah, last weeks episode was awesome! Maybe Deon goes into a coma and Shane tries to finish him off? laughing out loud

This weeks episode should be good! thumb up

Tex
Tonight's episode can very well be the most disturbing 1 hour of television I've ever watched! eek!

I love it! yes

roundisfunny
A friend and I watched that episode, and he referred to the picture the criminal took with his cell phone as "Mackey's 'Get Out of Jail Free' card."

I have to agree. Could they have been more obvious, though, in drawing the parallel between Acaveda's trouble in dealing with the reality of the situation, and that of the women Claudette and Dutch are interviewing?

WildIrishRose
In a way it was kinda nice to see Acevada(sp?) get taken down a notch or two b/c he's just as "dirty" as Vic & the team in a lot of ways. And it will be interesting to see how Shane get out of the current mess that he's gotten himself into now w/ Tavon. stick out tongue

Tex
I think the pic will end up being more than just a get out of jail free card, once the buck toothed assailant realizes who he has in that pic he might blackmail...or ruin Acaveda's political career just for fun! shifty

WildIrishRose
Yeah, the pic is definately gonna come back to haunt him sometime in the future...

Tex
yes

I love this show!

Next weeks episode looks really good too! thumb up

ANGELIQUE
WHAT IS THS 24 RIP OFF THING
THE SHIELD IS WAY BETTER THAN 24!!!!!!!!!!!!

WildIrishRose
I've never seen 24 so I really couldn't compare it to Shield...my brother is always trying to get me to watch it. stick out tongue I don't think it could compare to The Shield though..big grin

forumcrew
ive seen a good bit of the shield, it is not a 24 rip off, however i do think 24 is a better show, 24 is more original and i like bauer better, but i do think shield is a good show in its ows regard.. i saw an epsiode tonight on FX may have been old im not sure but the main cop in charge (the ******* kinda guy) had to blow a guy to not die... pretty intense

Tex
So what did you think of todays episode?

I thought the whole child computer porn incident was pretty interesting...I have a feeling we'll be hearing more about that in the future.

I'm really glad Acevada finally got his head banging encounter off his chest!

It will be interesting to see where the story goes concering what he plans to do about about that, not to mention the picture! eek!

forumcrew
the main guy (the bald white guy) may be the Thing in the new fantastic 4 movie

bader40
The Shield and NYPD blue are both excellent cop shows but my favourite is Boomtown (How could the network pull the plug on such a good show?) mad

HEMLOCK
to all you shield out there,
i just found out that next season
might be the last one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mad mad mad mad mad mad mad

koolruningz
Man that sucks. I enjoyed the last 2 seasons, i have yet to see season 3 here in NZ. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER A YEAR FOR IT TO COME BACK ON. miffed .Its one of my favourite shows.

Max Power
Why would this be the last one? This sucks!

Tex
It is an amazing show, and I guess to keep that image they've decided to end it while its still good.

The new season with Glenn Closeis going to be amazing ! thumb up

Idiot. The depth of the characters is what makes The Wire so great. It's the best show out there.

BruceSkywalker
The Shield is an excellent show. Look forward to the final season.

rockycairns
It's OK but I think Vic Mackay is sometimes a cheap version of Tony Soprano but as a cop.

The filming style is a little distracting as well shaking a camera doesn't make it "real"

Jay Karnes is very good in it though as Dutch.

Tex
Yeah, the final season starts in September, I really think last season should've been the last one. Hopefully it will go out with a bang!

Oh, I'm sure this season will finish with a bang. There are still plenty of unresolved conflicts, and I believe it's been 18 months since the last season, so I've got a feeling the producers did everything possible to make this the perfect final season. Personally I think this show is a landmark for cable television and it'll be sad to see it end, but it's going to be amazing.

Zebra 3
Been watching The Shield since the pilot. The final season premieres Sep. 2 on FX.

Look forward to what should be a great season.

For those of you that haven't seen there's an interview with Benito Martinez (Aceveda) on Collider. Check it out:

I think things between him and Vic are going to come to a head this year, I just hope Vic comes out on top. Honestly, I'm sure it'll be exciting either way though, love the writing on this show.

BruceSkywalker
Been seeing a lot of promos for the final season, looks real good.

jaden101
final season starts tomorrow in the US...needless to say i'll be looking for the torrents of it seeing is it'll probably be a year before it's over this side of the atlantic

Darth Vicious
Its been a long wait. Cant wait. Im sure it wont end well for the Strike Team.

jaden101
just hope it ends better for the fans than the sopranos did

I think I know how it will end, but I will watch each and every show

BruceSkywalker
What a great show the season premiere was.

jaden101
hurrah for fast torrents...yeah gotta agree...great start to the season.

whether Vic will do what he talked with Ronnie at the end though...hmmm...difficult to say

i also think the thing with Lem from the last series is overshadowing the threat to Vic's job....so i hope they don't finish the season using the weaker story line to end it.

I don't think they will. I'm sure watched the last episode of The Soprano's

FlappingMangera
Spoiler Alert!!!

Wow, Ronnie was the man in the first ep, I wonder if he's going to finally take up the reigns and start leading the strike team. I think that would be a really cool kind of twist where then he'd be a third party in the Vic vs Shane thing but he'd have dirt on both of them. Maybe he comes out on top?

jaden101
yeah i can see Ronnie surviving the probable downfall of Vic and Shane...if he can get over what he done in that 1st episode..

in season 5 he was made out to be the only truly smart one out of the team...he was the only 1 that Kavanagh couldn't find any dirt on in terms of money from the money train heist to which he tried to make it out that either he was smart enough to not get caught or that the rest of the team were freezing him out...obviously the former was the case

I wonder if Shane's going to try to play that against him in order to use him against Vic?

Interested to see what will happen, I'll be tuning in tonight.

Darth Vicious
This season has been awesome so far. Last nights episode was excellent! Shane is in deep s**t now. Wehn the season started I thought it would end withVic and Shane dead but now im not so sure. I still think Shane is going to die but I think Vic is going to turn into a fed by seasons end. Maybe bring Vic and Ronnie into a new series as feds.

jaden101
they better not leave the strike team with Julian in charge...hahaha...that'd just be wrong

yeah episode 8 was amazing...he got out of there just in time

i'm still none the wiser as to how it will end and what will be the bigger part of it...Pezuela and Aceveda or Shane

i still think Ronnie is the only 1 with the smarts to come out of it clean but Wimms seems to have his ass

Darth Vicious
Julian as the strike team leader would be....gay, lol.

jaden101
Julian, Billings, Tina and Dutch...strike team from hell laughing

Darth Vicious
Last few episodes have been very solid. Excellent job. With 3 episodes left I'm starting to think that Vic and Rony wont survive. I read that there are 4 major deaths in the finale. (Shane, Vic, Rony, Aceveda??)

That could be true..

I'm hoping for Vic to survive so they could possibly make a feature film

Darth Vicious
Disturbing spoiler below. Not sure if it is true but ti does confirm the 4 deaths I read in a more reliable spoiler site. read at ur own risk.

TNT is basically making a knock off now that the shield is going away.

McDermott Joins Bruckheimer's The Line
Source: The Hollywood Reporter November 7, 2008

"The Practice" alum Dylan McDermott has been tapped as the lead in "The Line," Jerry Bruckheimer's drama pilot for TNT, says Variety.

The project, from Warner Horizon and Jerry Bruckheimer TV, is a character-based police drama that revolves around a squad of undercover LAPD officers as they walk the line between doing their job and being seduced by easy money.

McDermott will play Lt. Andre Carter, a veteran officer who created and is running the secret unit, trying to strike a balance in his personal and professional relationships with his underlings.

He joins the recently cast Logan Marshall-Green, Omari Hardwick and Nicki Aycox on "Line," written by Doug Jung and directed by Danny Cannon.

If it is true it kinda makes sense. Ronnie always seemed like the smartest of the bunch.

jaden101
read a little bit of the spoilers and the last 2 episodes have basically shown it to be bullshit so i wouldn't worry

i can see it going down differently now that Ronnie handed the bag to Corinne he seems to have his card marked from Claudette and Dutch...i think he'll get busted and turn in Vic...although as they move on Vic all they'll find is his body after Beltran finds out Vic is trying to set him up with the feds

oh...and i just ordered a rather cool tshirt

http://www.bonaroo.co.uk/3/3/product/243/The_Shield_T-Shirt.html

Darth Vicious
I dont think they got anything on Ronnie. True, he handed the bag to Corrine but he didnt say anything that could incriminate him. He could say that he was doing a favor for a friend and didnt know what was in the bag.

After seeing Cassie and Vic interact, im sure that Corrine will come clean to Vic.

One things for sure, this has been one of the best seasons ever.

I agree

jaden101
i also agree...totally gripping stuff...only 2 episodes left to go ever though...makes me sad sad

Darth Vicious
"How much memory does that thing has?'" That line by Vic after confessing some things was just priceless!

I loved that line..

Next week I can't waitt

Darth Vicious
Im glad the spoilers I posted were fake. Sadly, it doesnt look good for Ronnie. Im counting the days until next week!

jaden101
unbelievable stuff...this is TV at it's absolute best...that 2nd last episode is perhaps the best episode of anything i've ever seen

Darth Vicious
Freaking awesome.! Claudettes expression when she found out where Vic was and what he was doing was f*ing priceless. He was confessing and she couldnt do s**t about it. I thought she was going to have a heart attack.

jaden101
so will the feds now find a way to get out of the deal?...will the attempt to bring down the cartel go south and Vic get killed?...will Shane and Mara give up?...what will happen to Ronnie?...

i think Claudette will have some sort of breakdown and Dutch will be made captain....either Vic will get Ronnie to run without giving himself up or Ronnie will figure it out and run anyway

so many uncertainties to tie up in a 1 hour episode...including this thing with the potential serial killer boy

Darth Vicious
The series finale is 90 minutes and accounting how very limited the commercials are, it should answer all questions. The Strike team has done a lot of bad s**t, it probably wont finish in a happy ending.

jaden101
it's strange in that i genuinely have no idea if it will end well or not...i don't know if corrine will tell vic she's working for the police out of guilt or whether she'll go through with the set up...i dont know if vic will let ronnie burn or not...or whether ronnie will see it coming or not...i no longer have a clue whether shane will run or turn himself over...especially now that mara is in so much shit...

that penultimate episode was essentially the perfect cliffhanger with there being no real hint as to which way any of the plot angles will go

BruceSkywalker
Tonight, I'll be watching

Darth Vicious
Im counting the hours! I havent been this excited about a series finale in years.

jaden101
i wont see it til tomorrow...damn UK having to wait til the torrent...i'll start downloading in the morning before work...then when i get home i'll be shutting myself off from the world for 100 minutes...90 to watch the finale and 10 to let my massive erection go down

Darth Vicious
Hmmm the finale wasnt what I expected. I expected everything to be resolved and it left me with a few questions. I guess for some, Vic's fate could be worse than jail.

I'm glad Vic's fate is left wide open

jaden101
i couldn't believe Shane's suicide was so sudden...i had a feeling he would and take Mara and Jackson with him when he found out about Vic's immunity deal

I can't believe he let Ronnie burn though...although i think he's was trying to give hints every time they spoke

can't believe it's all over though....the sopranos, the shield and the wire all done and dusted...what the hell am i gonna do now? laughing

Darth Vicious
That was a great scene when Shane found out about the immunity. His world crumbled in that instance. Great performance.

Darth Vicious
They did their jobs right because when I saw the scene, I remember the Benoit murders.

well i just started watching the whole lot again from the beginning...one episode i am looking forward to watching again is the flashback to before the pilot...that was a cool episode

Movie tragic
Awesome show. One of the best ever made. Loved the way it ended.
