I'd have to say connery if pushed, brosnan is great and combines the best elements of connery and moore into his performance..but he can be a bit of an imitator of connery at times which he doesn't need to be. He will sometimes say things as connery would have vocally said them, actualy doing a connery impersonation. In the opening sequence of TWINE listen when he says the word "assets" he litterally says it as connery would have said it.."ashetts". He does the same thing in TND when he hands the cell phone to the DR. Kaufman. On telling him how to operate the phone he tells him to dial, "recall, 3, Shhend" (send). So...that for me tips the balance connery's way. I actually liked all of the bonds for all different reasons..but over all connery would have to get the vote.

connery then brosnan. i was watching goldeneye last night and brosnan's performance wasn't as good as the last three films he made. he was obviously feeling out the character.

i liked him in goldeneye. i just thought that his presence and character as james bond were more commanding in the following 007 movies.

they did give him more scenes to explore the character in it compared to GE I think

and the delivery of his "bond, james bond" pimp-troduction was kinda weak in GE. brosnan became more comfortable with the character after GE. he gave it that extra pimpin' oomph it needed.

I think the "pimpin'" stopped after Sean Connery and the slapping of women
