IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.


this is something thats been on my mind alot lately . if tomorrow never comes...will my family and friends know how much i love them ?

will yours know you love them as well ? if tomorrow never comes , does it matter that you had a silly argument over whats for dinner....does it matter who called who last...does it really matter what movie you watch together as long as you are spending time together.....does it matter if they havnt paid you back the money they barrowed....

does it really matter....

i will tell you i love you tomorrow....

tomorrow may never come for me and it may not come for you either....

i loved you yesturday...i love you today.....i love you always....

i wanted to share this poem and my thoughts with you on this because if it reminds atleast one of you to tell someone how much you care , its worth it . live each day like its the last....and give someone a hug .

The Worst Nightmare

I felt so alone,
when I lived in that nightmare.
Everyone "knew" how it felt,
but really had no idea what it was like there.

I got left out,
and everyone teased me.
I had no friends,
and my family disowned me.

Not one person to talk with,
and stand by my side.
All I wanted was someone who cared,
someone to stay along for the ride.

But no one showed up,
and I realized it was too late.
I was going to be left out forever,
so I decided my fate.

I went to school wearing my jacket.
Today was the day I died.
I carried two shotguns underneath,
one on each side.

I killed everyone,
who had ever gotten in my way.
The same people who made fun of me,
each and every day.

When I was done I was covered with crimson,
from head to toe.
Now it was finally time,
for myself to go.

I had one shell left,
and I put the gun to my head.
I was about to end my life,
and swallow that lead.

As I pulled the trigger,
a girl came from around the hall's corner.
She was screaming something,
but I ignored her.

I took my life,
and ended my horrible nightmare.
But one thing that still bothered me,
was the significance of that girl of which I was unaware.

I could see her huddling over my body.
I could see myself on the ground.
That girl was still there.
She was holding my hand and she stuck around.

She looked up and yelled "Why didn't you listen?"
"What did you do?"
"I should have told you sooner...
that I loved you."

This is a bit morbid
But I like the message, you never know who you could help with your love and affection cry
