Ooh John Carpenter's Vampires was a good one, but anyone seen " Vamp"? it's the 1986 Grace Jones horror parody about these college students who are in need of strippers but finds out that they are vampires.

It's kind of like "From Dusk Till Dawn" meets "Porky's", rent it and enjoy.

BackFire
Ah, I forgot about Near Dark and John Carpentors Vampires, I like both of those.

And Andres, nope, haven't seen it. I'm not big on Vampire movies so I don't really go out of my way to watch them.

The lost boys is the best I've seen. I don't even watch a lot of vampire movies.

wink it is good got it in my collection but Interview with the vampire beats it any vampire movie anyday

LizzyT123
Interview with the Vampire was superb! I haven't read the book yet, but my dad's gonna help me find his copy. I liked Interview, but when I saw Queen of the Damned, I was like, sweet jesus this is awful!

Juwanna
The Queen of the damned is supposed to be a mix of the two books "The Vampire Lestat", the second book, and "The Queen of the Damned", the third book...it isn't really similar to either much at all. For instance it says that Marius is the vampire who makes Lestat, when it was really Magnus. They speak of Lestat having Blonde hair and other cosmetic differences and mention little of Pandora or any of the other ancient vampires that aid to help stop Akasha in the end.

Interview with the Vampire however, is much more true to the book, leaving out a few parts (such as how Lestat comes back in Paris when Louie and Claudia meet Armand).

If you are disencouraged to read the books because of how bad you may of thought The Queen of the Damned, don't be. I'm reading "The Vampire Lestat" for the third time in a year, which for me is a lot because i don't really read many books other than those of Anne Rice.

But you have to admit the music in The Queen of the Damned was pretty damned good wink and that's really the only reason i liked it laughing out loud

Juwanna
read. the. books. btw
The Vampire Lestat is definantly the best of the three, but you still should read them in Order.
1. Interview with the Vampire
2. The Vampire Lestat
3. The Queen of the Damned

LizzyT123
alright, sounds awesome, maybe instead of dvds I'll put books on my Chrishmash list.

Rambo
This is a question for Backfire. You said that your favorite vampire movie was From Dusk Til Dawn and that all other Vampire movies suck. To each his own opinion but just wondering what was so great about From Dusk Til Dawn? I like the movie alot but you have to admit the Vampire Scense were very very cheesey. like in the final showdown when they Stand up and fight them, did you notice how the vampires just walked around in the background waiting to fight?

golem370
I liked Embrace of the Vampire and a TV show The Kindred
