yes it does^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^horribly. if you watch you get the urge to hit your head on the wall.

Well i have to disagree with you because maybe its just me but i like mysterys and well i guess i kinda grew attached to it

I totally love it. Well, I've only seen one episode, but I've read fan-scans of the manga. It's called Detective Conan, though; I don't know why they changed it.

ehhhh...it bores me but it's not bad. it's sorta just another mystery/detective show with the twist of the fact that he ends up being a little kid.

Its the most popular anime in Japan(and one of the most popular Japan has ever seen)Give it a chance.Ita ok to me but i need to see more

The name was changed for legal/copyright reasons.I encorage all to still call it by its original Detective Conan though!

that's why i say,case closed/detective conan for the people who say it detective conan (that means you BlackHatDefect)not yell at me cause i don't want to end the peacefull conversations streak.case closed/detctive conan is a good show.i like to solve the cases.watching CSI:crime scene investigation all the time give you a keen eye and a good mind.yeah. and it's fun to watch richard make a fool of himself when he's wrong.

Detective Conan is very entertaining. Though if you're looking for your typical anime that only lasts for a short time, might want to stop watching now. It already has 360+ episodes in Japan, and it's STILL going.

I still can't figure out why people find the show boring...But then I look at the fact that DB/Z/GT is one of the most widely known animes in America, and then I weep.

there are to many crime shows. and my main beef is that it took cowboy bebop off they air. and that damn lupin took off trigun

They both are still showing on Saturday, along with the rest of the more anime related stuff, besides the first hour. Besides, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop have both been rerun FAR too many times. I've literally seen Cowboy Bebop in it's entirety 7 times. However, with Conan, the only time we'll get reruns is when FUNi(or whoever dubs it) has to dub new episodes, JUST like with DBZ...Except this is longer than DBZ itself, and is still going, obviously.

Also, so what if there are too many crime shows? Does that stop it from being good? Um, no, it doesn't. And really, if it's one of the top rated animes in Japan, and is still going...Well, it has to be good for something.

Jason really!Although they still show,i think it was about time for a change!Bebop/Trigun have been showing seance quite awile ago,and honestly i would have gotten very bored if they continued.I like where they are now...

im sry to say .....i hate that freakin show! !.....just my oppinion. . i think that this show should be on regular cartton netwrok tv like between the times of 4 and 7 pm. AND PLEASE...dont compare good shows like csi crime/csi:miami/law and order with case closed....there is no comparison...(ok i will give you the whole detective stunt ). i personally think that there are other shows that should be on adultswim (outlaw star/fushigi yuugi/X TV/sailormoon/yu yu hakashu "repeats" there are some that shouldnt (CASED CLOSED/lupin/kidakider/the brackshow/aqua team hunger force?/sealab 2021) <---"these are not shows people---talking about the 1s i named from the brackshow to 2021." even if they didnt feel like showing repeats of shows...there are plenty of movies that have been made (cowboy bebop:the movie, etc.) that they could show like "1 or 2 new movies a week (repeats all week or split in half). i am really starting to think that the only people who think of these kinds of things are us...everyone else (people who work at the companys that put/take off the shows on tv) are brainless .!? i dunno......sry if i upset anyone with my post, but i had to get it off my chest .

I think ATHF is a sort of specialized tase. But it really bugs me when people complain about how insteaed of putting on new, interesting shows, a TV network should rerun that person's favorite show forever.

Out of curiosity, soundtrack, do you like other detective stories? I don't mean police shows,I mean actualy strait up detective stories (Sherlock Holmes, Nero Wolfe, that sort of thing). Because if you don't, it's a little silly to complain about not liking Detective Conan.

im sry if i dont like athf (but seriouslly that show is just for teh selected people who like that kind of stuff...i just dont find the humor in it. and i just dont plane get it (thats why i dont like it/dont consider it a show), but with all seriousness congrats if it does make you laugh .and the reason for not liking cased close is because i dont really like those kind of animes that are set up like that (i do however like detective stories). i seriouslly thought i was going to like the show when it 1st came on the air, but there was something about it that didnt really excite my into (my oppinion) wasting 30 min. of my time. (no rudeness indended). i like animes like (gundam wing/cb/trigun/rahxephon/saiyuki/witchhunter robin/pretear/etc.). and i totally agree with gregory up there, with how they shouldnt repeat peoples favorite shows over and over again..trust me i love cowboy bebop, but give it a rest for lets say...a year! they have run that anime down to the ground (almost ruining it from playing to much...although there arre some eps. i dont mind watching again)... seriouslly sry if i upset anyone but its just an opinion.

I love it, but I was never the mystery type.. I dont know why I like it if I dont like mysterys.... O_o;

i think is the funniest show ever but everyone has there own opinion

its not horrible.... but its boring that for some reason out of thin air he discovers things ... that he has such a wide area of knowledge in like a million fields... .... i like the original law and order and this has very little in common with something like that

ATHF is so gay!the only GOOD character in it is Frylock.and i compared case closed/detective conan with CSI cause it deals with murder robbery ect. even though there is a few key elements that differ from eachother.that's why i love this show and that's why i hate ATHF.

"Jimmy." High on the list of things I resent about American anime companies is how they change the names of the characters. Shinichi (Jimmy if you must) has a girlfriend named Ran who knows karate. If Karen is the teenage girl standing between the two adult detectives (upper right) in the picture I'm enclosing (that's Ran), then yes, she's "Jimmy's" girlfriend.

Well, you can't blame them for Americanizing some names. People will relate a lot more to Jimmy and Rachel here, than Shinichi and Ran.

He changes back a few times, yeah, but he has yet to find out a full cure.

Eventually you're gonna wanna know who gave Jimmy the poison and want him to get his body back. But yeah, I love the mysteries, and the "romance" between Jimmy and Raechal. Can't wait to see the episode to night, Mountain Villa Murder Part II!

I love this show at first i didn't but then i grew to love it. Has anyone else tried solving the crime and suceeded? i've noticed clues before they've been narrorated but i've never put two clues together.

P.S. Bebop has been on Adult Swim for years now or a year and a half atleast seriously it was getting boring.

You weren't supposed to figure out WHO did it, you were supposed to figure out HOW he did it. Not all Detective Conan episodes want you to find out WHO did it, because most of the time that's obvious.

Yeah i am ganna have to go with jason on this one i think that show sux major A**!!!! I saw it once i thought it was a show for little kids! That kid with the huge glasses is a nerd. If the kid with the big glasses was a really kid he would be killed and his stuff would be took!

hahah. yes, FUNimation is VERY good on voice acting. `:P You have to admit, the voice acting for DB/Z/GT and Fruits Basket is really really good. (Especially Fruits Basket. `:P i found out on one of the message boards here that most people agree that Fruits Basket is one of the best dubbed English anime.)

haha. i've seen WORSE for dubbing/naming for animes. Japanese voices are actually considered dubbing as well...
so CC is pretty good for me in the dubbing/naming part. `:P Conan is soooo kawaii! haha. and i can understand the fact that he sounds girlish. i mean, take Yuki from Fruits Basket in the Japanese subbed as an example. he sounds girly because he's supposed to represent as a hot bishie! XD and he's often called "girlish" at times. Conan has a "girlish" voice in the English dubbed because it's supposed to emphasize the fact that he's small. o_O; do i make sense? no? ok. x_x;

as for the namings and the "horrible dub" you speak of, yes i have seen worse. -_-;;
for example, they dubbed Yu Yu Hakusho in Filipino/Tagalog (from my homeland, the Philippines. ` the country right under Japan!). O_O; omg, i wanted to SCREAM when i heard the dubbing and the naming. of course, since i grew up in America, i would have screamed but i'm just not used to it..

well, not really, but you know. -_-; i mean, Kuwabara as a Eugene? Seriously. i know that the Philippines mostly has Spanish names and all cuz of the Spanish people ruling over the country for like 300 - 600 years, but EUGENE? they could've stayed with Kuwabara.
at least they actually had some subbed animes, and the Rurouni Kenshin anime they had was actually English Dubbed. ` the subbed ones that i wanted to watch (and i finally did) was Ranma 1/2. ahha. XD

overall, i seriously love Case Closed! hhah. props to my friend, Lauren, who told me how uberly awesome it was. and thanks to my insomniac-ness! ^_^;;

I'm sorry but that has to be the most uneducated thing i've ever heard about an anime since i've been here. If you ever watched the cartoon from the beggining you would know this is a young man who was given a poison that turned him into a kid. As strange as it sounds that is what they have you to believe in this story. The thing i like about ths show is the mystery. Who did it and how can you prove it. Thats the point of it. No matter how it seems a little kid knows all this stuff and how it plays that he is actually this famous detective. The only thing that gets to me is ran/rachel is made believe that shinichi/jimmy is off somewhere solving a mystery. If he is supposed to be so good dont you think she would have thought he would be done with that mystery and back home? Of course she came up with the idea conan was jimmy, but that was shot down when the professor called with the bowtie voice changer pretending to be him. If you watch it more then you can make a coment about it that would be more educated.

Nahh, I've seen them in Japanese. Can't say I've seen all 430 plus episodes but I've seen a good amount.

It's just the fact that Shin'ichi is a hard name to remember lol. Jimmy's much easier in my own.

the movies are really good.. I recomend them over the series... Better animimation and stories.. And they tend to be a bit more soppy on the ran/kudo situation...
