When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Harold S. Kushner is something I just picked up and started reading while perusing through the Philosophy, etc. section of the local library.

It is basically a Rabbi venting after losing his son to a condition called Progeria (medical condition; rapid aging) and his crisis of faith that Aaron's (his son) death had caused him.

Honestly, a terrific book, for those who have faith or not. There was not a moment that I felt like putting the book down, and it left me with a million of my own questions about the fairness of "God" and the world around me.
