When voting for President these are the top three things voters had on thier minds:

22% Moral Values
20% Economy
17% Terrorism

So your thoughts... and what you were thinking of?

silver_tears
That's a load of crap, essentially imo the only reason Bush won is because he drove fear into peoples' hearts with his whole war on terror, people were too afraid to choose kerry because they knew that Bush meant business in this "war" roll eyes (sarcastic)
Very few people like change!

Sympathy and fear are the only reasons he got as many votes as he did.
Or I could be wrong, and Americans could really care more about homosexuality in their country than their education or health crisises no expression

SlipknoT
Do we really need another political thread? roll eyes (sarcastic)

Has anyone here ever questioned the Diebolt voting system?

Do you think it was 100% trust worthy (no paper trail)?

Did you know the CEO (Walden O'Dell) of the Debolt Company is an avid Bush supporter?

Looks like Dell made good on his promise to deliver Ohio's 24 electoral votes to Bush back in June.

Side note:

Look what I found. Now I'm not saying it's true, but it does make you think about what could have happened last nite.

I've read about that, and yes it's definately very suspicious.

RaventheOnly
This is from MSNBC polling, right as the voters left the booth no expression look at thier site.

silver_tears
Even so confused

I really don't see why people follow polls so blindly confused
Hell I could make a poll claiming the world is flat, and if the results were in my favour would you believe it? no expression

Darth Revan
Yeah, I heard about that, but I really think Bush won this one fairly. For some reason. no expression

silver_tears
and how exactly did they get these votes?
did they just go and ask people leaving the polls?

Arachnoidfreak
My thoughts?

It's the apocalypse no expression

ok, ok, im kidding. But these next 4 years are going to SUCK.

RaventheOnly
Yes. people who left the voting booth, mind you all over the country, were asked what they considered most important on how they voted and those are the percentages of answers.

RaventheOnly
Polls are very misguiding yes. and polls should be considered as only oart of the many references that should be taken into view when trying to predict what the mindset of the population is thinking. Considering that Personally Bush has a far higher rating one must consider that a person would feel more comfortable talking to him one on one becasue he has similar things in common persona wise.

Darth Revan
Like... stupidity? no expression

silver_tears
He's a simpleton alright yes
His I.Q alone proves so if you want statistics happy

MC Mike
Moral Values...? As in what they stood on Abortion and such? We must have a very stupid America. messed

RaventheOnly
actually education level is important when dealing with polls stick out tongue

Dr. Strangelove
It would seem to me that terrorism would be the biggest issue, or whether you were for or against the Iraq war.erm

Jackie Malfoy
You must had been watching the news too!Anyway like the guy on tv said, it was morals that got bush to be president!Which the dems as always payed no attention of showing.
Kerry not being a moral man to begin with anyway.Coughtwowifescough!Good question through!JM

ragesRemorse
Either president would have given us the same results. NOTHING. Kerry would have shit all over the economy introducing socialized healthcare though.

lil bitchiness
Looks like simplicity won. Says a lot about people who voted for Bush.

ragesRemorse
good thing i diddnt vote. Then i wouldnt have been sarcastically praised by you lil. If i did though, i owuld have voted nadar, he was the only one who took a solid stand on anything, without being a stubborn lier.

lil bitchiness
I wasnt praising people who voted for Bush. Not even sarcasticly.

Darth Surgent
Two wives, huh? I guess that has so much to do with America's foreign policy, right? JM, I'm afraid the position that you are coming from is that of a moralistic zealot who has become brainwashed into the right-wing way of thinking due to some sort of attachment disorder. Perhaps your dislike of Kerry's divorce stems from your own situation with your parents.

JM, have your parents had some sort of trouble recently, such as separation or divorce? If so, I'm terribly sorry, but it's no excuse for the way you, as a 14-year-old, have become such a right-wing lune. I sincerely pity you and you're uneducated views.

I pray that one day you are able to see the difference between a political position and a preacher. The President does not set the social policy for the country. He/she mainly dictates and influences foreign policy. Must I say it again. Foreign policy and diplomacy. (And if anyone tells me that Bush is a better diplomat than Kerry, God will strike you down in 4 years. Fact.)

It is my solemn hope that good things begin to happen to you in your life, so that you'll not have such hateful and despicable beliefs. I call upon all decent KMC members to help educate this poor soul, so that she might not grow into another partisan hack.

You're still young. You can still turn away from the path of hatred.

ragesRemorse
I know
